If the Church believes in the Bible only "as far as it is translated correctly", then why doesn't the Church make the J Smith translation the official translation? Hmmm...
If the Book of Mormon is "the most correct of any book on earth", then why has the Church made over 4,000 changes since the 1st edition? Hmmm...
If being temple endowed is essential to getting into the Celestial Kingdom, then why doesn't Jesus command us to do so, in the Bible, or the Book of Mormon? Hmmm...

If God has a body of "flesh and bone", then why doesn't the Bible, or the Book of Mormon teach it? Hmmm...
If African Americans weren't allowed to hold the priesthood until 1978, why did Joseph Smith ordained one elder (Elijah Able) in the 1840's? Hmmm...

Do you think that when Moses came from Mt. Sinai with the Ten Commandments, that the first thing he asked was: " all those in favor, say "I". All those opposed...."? Hmmm...
If the seagulls saved the first Utah pioneers, why didn't any of their journals or newspapers talk about it? And why did so many write about how disastrous that the times were and not mention the seagulls? Hmmm...
If Brigham Young was a prophet of God, how could he preach the Adam-God Theory, which was totally rejected by the Church? Hmmm...
If the Temple Endowment ceremony was ordained of God, why were the ceremonies changed in 1990? Hmmm...
Didn't they name Mormonism after the wrong angel? I mean, everybody knows it was Moroni who delivered the plates. That would mean we should call it Moronism-would that make them Morons? (Just asking) Hmmm...
If God had to first live as a man in order to become a God, then who created the first man? Hmmm...
If the Church really supports the concept of "Families are forever", then why can't the missionaries e-mail their mothers? Hmmm...
My former bishop said he didn't want to remove my name from the records when I asked him at 19 years of age (after being a Mormon all my life) because he was afraid I didn't know the consequences of the choice I was making. So, did I know of the choice I was making to be baptized and become a member of the church at age of 8? Hmmm...
If the church is so "family orientate" why do they make it impossible for non-member family members to attend weddings (i.e. the temple)? Hmmm...
Let me see if I have this straight. The Mormon God is a flesh and bone man on some planet named "Kolob", he has sex with his flesh and bone wives and the child conceived is a.... spirit? I wonder how you change a spirits diaper? Hmmm...
Why did Joseph Smith deny living in polygamy over and over again between 1831 and 1843 when there are records and diaries of his plural wives that prove he was a polygamist? and if he lied... how can we as an entire church ignore that? Hmmm...
My mom says, "If Joseph Smith was not a Prophet of God and if he revealed something that the Lord thought would lead people astray, then the Lord would destroy him and take him from the earth." so, if this is true, isn't it interesting that the same year he finally admitted he was a polygamist and put it in the "scriptures" (D & C Sec. 132) as something we must do to inherit eternal life, that he was killed the same year? did the Lord "take him away?" Hmmm....
If the last chapter in the D & C (that Joseph Smith wrote, Sec. 13 says that he had a dream in which he saw his unbaptized brother, Alvin, in the Celestial Kingdom... and that the Lord revealed to him that "anyone who would have accepted it with all their hearts shall inherit that kingdom"... why the heck are we even doing temple work for the dead if the Lord told Joseph Smith that those people who would have accepted the gospel will go to the celestial kingdom anyway? Hmmm...
If living polygamy could be accomplished by simply marrying 2 women, why do you think Joseph Smith found it necessary to marry soooooo many women? Hmmm....
If a woman dies and her husband gets sealed to another woman, that first woman is forced to live polygamy in the next life. what if she hates the idea! Hmmm...
Why is the church opposed to oral sex, but supports kissing the General Authorities butts? That's a BIG Hmmm...
If you are forgiven of all your sins at baptism, why does the church make you wait a year before you go back to the temple (after an excommunication re-baptism)? Hmmm...
If Mormons are such a peace loving, Christ-like people, why did the LDS people have an oath they repeated in the temple ceremony avenging the blood of Joseph Smith (until 1931)? Hmmm....
If the church teaches highly on the word of wisdom. Then why is it that when ever I go to a pot luck in Utah, everything but healthy food is served such as Hamburgers, Hot dogs, oh now time for desert. What ever happened to eating meat sparingly. D&C 89 v. 12,13 Hmmm....
If the Mormon Church is known for being an unprofitable, giving organization. Then why does the church's thrift store (Deseret Industries) have a biding section (highest bidder gets the item). As for the members who hold temple recommends after paying 10% (as if they don't give enough) you have to pay for garments, rent Temple clothes, and pay for food in Temple cafeteria (and I've just begun), and MTC (Missionary Training Center) bookstore prices are an outrage. Since you can't leave the premises, you have no other choice for purchases. This is a great way for them to take advantage of you. Hmmm....
If the Mormon Church is so against caffeine, why did they own a big part of the Coca Cola company in the past? Hmmm...
If Mormons believe that they are accountable for their own sins and not Adam's transgression, why are they "washed" in the temple to become free of the sins of this generation? Hmmm...
If God is flesh and blood, making spirit babies to come to earth, and Mormon doctrine dictates that we must procreate to bring these spirits to earth, as well as the fact that families will be together forever... Are our earthly children going to be with us in the afterlife forever, or with their spirit parents forever? Hmmm...
Mormons believe that in the pre-existence we had a choice between two plans:
1. We would submit to the authority of Lucifer. In order to save us, Lucifer would tell us what to think and how to behave.
2. We could choose Christ's plan of free agency.
That we are here implies we chose the second plan.
BUT
After having arrived on earth, however, we find out that God's real plan for us was as follows:
We submit to the authority of the brethren. In order to save us, the brethren tell us what to think and how to behave.
What a cruel, cruel trick. An irony that seems lost on the Mormon rank and file.
It never stops amazing me just how tricky and devious this LDS God is.
Could L.D.S. stand for "Lucifer's Dedicated Servants?" Hmmm...
While we're on the subject... Lucifer's plan was to force people to do the right thing, and Jesus' plan was to give us free will, so--if we examine Mormonism against the "apostate" denominations, we see Mormons are given more freedom... wait a minute - In the words of Big Bird: "one of these things is not like the other..." Hmmm...
If the Mormon God has a body of flesh and bone, why didn't HE go to the cross? Hmmm...
If the angel told JS not to let anyone see the plates or "get at" them, why did he copy down some of the characters and show them to Prof. Anthon? Hmmm...
The other question I have is regarding the ban on coffee and tea, the so-called "hot drinks" in WOW. If taken literally, it would also ban hot apple cider, hot chocolate, warm milk, and several other warm/hot drinks. If they aren't supposed to have "hot drinks" then why can they drink hot chocolate or cider? Hmmm...
The book of Mormon talks about a great battle with swords and armor in the Eastern U.S. in which over a million soldiers were slain. I think this was to have taken place about 1500 years ago. Granted that was a long time ago, but wouldn't you think that there would still be a teency bit of evidence from such a great battle. Maybe at least one sword? Hmmm...
Several sections of the Book of Mormon are verbatim (down to the punctuation) with sections from the Old and New Testament of the Holy Bible. Knowing how easily stories can be altered during translation makes me wonder how the KJV of the Bible, translated from Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek, Latin and German, could be verbatim with the Book of Mormon, translated directly from an ancient language into English. And why would the Book of Mormon be translated into English from the 15th century when Joseph lived in the 1800's? Hmmm...
There are so many contradictions between the Bible and Book of Mormon but one that really amazes me is this. The crowning achievement of being a Mormon is to be sealed to their spouse for 'time and all eternity'. That makes me wonder why Christ states in the New Testament that "...marriage is an earthly covenant . In Heaven all intimacies and ecstasies are with God." I wonder who's confused, Jesus or the Mormons? Hmmm...
All one must do to know the truthfulness of the Mormon Church is go to the Church and ask to be baptized. Tell them you know that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior, that He died on the cross because of your sins, and that you want to be baptized by immersion, in His name. Seems simple enough. Here's the catch: Unless you testify that Joseph Smith is a true prophet of God and that the LDS church is the only true church on this earth they won't baptize you! Seems kinda strange that a Church based upon Christ won't baptize you in the name of Christ unless you first believe in Joseph Smith. Hmmm...
In Genesis it says that Satan lured Eve into taking the forbidden fruit by telling her "You will be like god". Doesn't the Mormon "church" preach that by following their ways, you will "be like god" or a god for that matter? Hmmm...
Brigham Young stated: "Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God, is death on the spot. This will always be so" (Journal of Discourses, Vol. 10, p.110). What happened? Hmmm...
The Mormons are paying Hinckley close to half a million a year in salary and benefits and they (the Mormons) believe they have an unpaid clergy. They pay this guy all this money and he doesn't even know that "as man is god once was and as god is man may become," seems to me that this guy is a bit over paid and his knowledge of Mormon scripture is a day late and a dollar short. Hmmm...
Sometime in the 1840's God said okay to plural wives, in fact you need two wives to get to the holy of the holies. The "gentiles," say, no God is wrong. Woodruff asks God if it's in fact wrong and God apparently says he was wrong and now we're back to only one wife. God loses and gentiles win or did God really say it in the beginning? Hmmm...
How does one go about making change for a "limnah of gold?" Hmmm...
If the Mormons believe the Bible "as long as it's translated correctly" and they don't know which parts have been translated correctly, how can they believe any of it? Hmmm...
If the infamous garmies are supposed to be worn 24-7, how come Donny Osmond spends most of his stage time in "Joseph" wearing nothing but a very tight loincloth? Hmmm...
When asking a true blue Mormon about Rev.22:18 stating not to add to the things in the Holy Bible, the response was that it means only the Book of Revelations. But didn't Joseph Smith add to that book in his translation? Does this mean that God forgot and left out something? Doesn't it mean that Joseph Smith didn't heed the warning? Hmmm...
Today, members of the church are excommunicated for being polygamous. It is common Mormon doctrine that Jesus was polygamous. So if Jesus came back today with his wives (Mary and Martha...), according to the rules of the Church today, Jesus would be excommunicated from his own "True" church. Hmmm...
Why will Mormons look down on people for drinking a Diet Coke, when they serve meat in the Temple. Hmmm...
