Morgan
I actually kind of like Morgan. He is simple, direct and honest. He is upfront about the fact that he hates Harry and doesn't trust him and I respect that.
Morgan is a purist and he considers Harry to be tainted. He wants to see Harry slip up but he is so sure that Harry will do it himself that he doesn't feel he needs to do anything to faciliate that event. In fact, it would go against his very rigid morals to do anything like that. It kills him to see Harry make the right choice but he won't do anything to stop Harry from doing it. In fact, he will even save Harry's life because it's the right thing to do. I would rather have Morgan on Harry's side hating him than Elaine on his side, loving him. At least then you know what you've got. No surprises. Less interesting sure but when battling the forces of darkness you want to know that the person protecting your back isn't one of them.
"The insanity was in letting you live when you were a boy. DuMorne's murderous apprentice. Insanity was pulling you from that burning house two years ago." His voice dropped to an even more quiet register, the contrast to his previous tone unsettling. "Someone I dearly cared for was at Archangel, Dresden. And this time your lies aren't going to get you out of what's coming to you."
I'm very interested to find out who it was who died at Archangel that Morgan is grieving for. At this point the only person we know who is confirmed to have been at Archangel is Simon Pietrovich. I wonder if that's who Morgan has a connection to? If so it could create a very interesting situation in that Justin DuMorne was an apprentice to Wizard Pietrovich so if there is some sort of connection there it could draw Morgan into something darker than he lets on.
Morgan so obviously has a personal grudge against Harry that goes beyond righteous indignation. He hates Harry for something that Harry doesn't even know about. For Morgan it's intensely personal. I'm looking forward to learning more of the backstory of Morgan. I think it will prove to be very interesting and enlightening about Harry as well.
Why Morgan Hates Harry Theory
What if Morgan wanted to be a wizard but lacked the natural ability? He is forced to stand by and watch Harry get what he wanted. Harry has natural ability. Harry gets to work with DuMorne, who must have been a formidable wizard if he had been the apprentice to Simon Pietrovich. Harry also gets Elaine which may, for some reason, be a sore spot for Morgan. You never know.
Morgan is a Warden which seem to be like guards for the Wizards. The Wizards are the ones with the power but the Wardens are merely the hired guns. I don't think Morgan even has any special powers. He is stuck working for the council knowing that he can never be anything more and he is forced to watch Wizards that he considers unworthy, like Harry, achieve great things. It must drive him mad with jealousy.

Interesting theory - and interesting points -
I like Morgan, too. I have to admit, it took me a while, b/c he kind of bothered me in Storm Front, but, once you understand how he works, he's not all bad.
Delving into Morgan's past and personality could be interesting...
Re: Why Morgan Hates Harry Theory
I'm pretty sure that Morgan is a wizard. Harry talks about that in Storm Front. Morgan obviously isn't as strong as Harry is, but I think he has some abilities.
I would love to see Morgan in the position of being under attack and the only way his life can be saved is for Harry to use a lethal magic spell. I wonder whether Morgan would consider that a "technicality." Or maybe Morgan should have to use lethal magic to save his own life and Harry could stand up for him in the White Council. That'd really annoy Morgan, wouldn't it?

Morgan is a wizard - Harry talks about him being an evocator of pretty decent skill - not sure what else he knows though - he's only shown up to annoy Harry - which he seems to *really* like doing.
Morgan in peril and needing to use lethal magic to save his own hide? Hmmmmm - interesting... *ponders* I like that idea -
I thought it was hilarious when Harry woke up at the end of "Storm Front" and realized that Morgan had been giving him mouth-to-mouth... that always makes me laugh...
