Music recomendation thread
Is there an artist you love that maybe isn't that well known and you'd like to share their work with others? I love all types of music and I especially love finding a new artist I didn't know about before. The idea hehind this thread is to broaden our musical horizons Post your "hidden treasure" artists here!
I would like to point out one of my favorite artists since I was about age 10. The AMAZING and beautiful Sarah Brightman Some of you may know her as the woman who originated the role of "Christine" in Phantom of the Opera (Andrew Loydd Webber wrote the part especially for her astounding voice). Sarah is a singer, dancer and actress who stems from a classical background but has completely branched out from that. Sarah has become known to her fans as the "angel of music," She sings in almost every area of music out there not just opera and it is only in the last few years with albums like "Eden,La Luna and most recently Harem", that she has gained more mainstream attention. Her music has been described as having no catagory because she mixes everything together and comes up with something all her own. I just LOVE her and have had the honour to see her live for the "Eden" and "La Luna" tours. I know I will follow her career as long as I'm alive.

Here's what I listen to mostly: Pete Yorn (my screen name 'loseyou' comes from one of his songs) Ben Kweller Rhett Miller he's so awesome, he opened for Tori Amos, who I also love, when I went to see her last spring he used to be part of the band olds 96 or something, I know I have that number wrong, lol.
I love Portishead and Jimmy Fallon's CD is hilarous. Jonathan Jackson has a few albums out I have the CD called Glory Come Undone the group was named Jono and the Rock then, but I think they've changed it to enation.

I LOVE Portishead and I think Jonathan is great! I can't keep up with all their band name changes though, it's confusing! Scarlett Road, Scarlett River, Jono and the Rock and now enation? lol I've heard of Tori Amos but the other artists I'm not familiar with I'll have to check them out. I love finding new music. Thanks for sharing

Josh Groban is AMAZING I love him too! He actually sang a duet on Sarah Brightman's last tour and I saw him live! What a sweetheart too Susie we have a LOT in common it seems

I have like ALL of those! LMAO and I wasn't counting my DVD's either!! I LOVE Drew Barrymore, I always have! I have almost all her movies. Reese is adorable and I am like the BIGGEST Marilyn Monroe fan! I have a huge collection of Marilyn stuff. As for actors, Johnny Depp is by FAR one of my VERY favorites. I am DYING for TPOTC DVD!! I have like every Johnny movie, what a gifted actor! Without a doubt one of if not the best actors of our time And What a drop dead GORGEOUSSEXYBEAUTIFUL man! YUM! I watched 21 Jump street back in the day too! My mom was an extra on the show and got to meet Johnny! Wish I gad been old enough to go at the time lol She didn't tell me she met him until years later cause she knows how much I love him LOL
