i heard if you play on new years you can make a buck or two on the side by kissing other sims. so that's one thing. and then i guess there are special things (items?) that you can get on new years. not sure if these things are new years specific like party hats or dropping balls or what. but basically free love rules and you can get rich from being a tramp on new years.
