Are you not receiving emails from ezboard or Yuku for validation, notification of reply, inbox forwarding, and lost password? Not getting email notification when you open a support ticket? The emails are probably being filtered as spam by your email provider. Spam filters are getting more aggressive and the result is that some wanted emails will be filtered.
If you have a Bulk or Junk folder for your e-mail account, check there. AOL Users
There has been an increase in reports of AOL and Compuserve users not ezboard email. This corresponds to an update in the spam filtering program for t AOL 8.0 and 9.0.
AOL will automatically send emails from ezboard to the spam folder. If you are having emails from ezboard going to the AOL spam folder, you need to add these email addresses to your address book. And make sure your settings are for "email from people in my address book are never spam."
The default for the Spam filter is Mail from senders in your Address Book and Buddy list will always be delivered to your main mailbox
You also need to be sure that they don't have it set to automatically delete spam.You can set it to put emails in the spam folder and hold it for 3 days. This gives you time to look for expected registration type emails.
keyword spam controls
or
click on Spam Controls link in mail management
or
>Mail
>>Block Unwanted Mail
and select Blocked mail should be:
Delivered to the Spam Folder
From time to time AOL will delay the delievery of emails from ezboard. Most of the time the emails will be deliever in minutes but at peak times it may be 12-48 hours before they arrive in your email. HOTMAIL Users
If you use Hotmail , ezboard emails will automatically go to your junk folder if you use the default spam filter settings.
There are several things you can do to prevent this:
Log into your Hotmail account and in the upper right click OPTIONS Mail Options > Junk E-Mail Protection
There are 3 settings for the junk filter
Quote:Choose your Junk E-Mail Filter level: Low - obvious junk e-mail is caught. Enhanced - most junk e-mail is caught. (this level is the default) Exclusive - you will only receive e-mail from addresses appearing in your Contacts, service announcements from Hotmail, and messages you have consented to receive from MSN.
Note: At Enhanced and Exclusive levels, wanted messages are occasionally identified as junk e-mail. Check your junk e-mail folder regularly to make sure wanted e-mail has not been moved there.
At Enhanced and Exclusive levels, all ezboard emails will go into the junk folder. I have not tested the Low setting yet.
The next section to check in options is Safe List
Messages from e-mail addresses on this list will not be filtered as junk e-mail.
In that section, enter ezboardcorp.com, yukucorp.com ezboard.com and ezboard.net as domains to add to the safe list. (I think we are doing away with emails from ezboard.net, but it won't hurt to add this to the safe list)
Also, you should make sure that your junk folder is set to save junk mail instead of automatically deleting it. The default setting is to save it for a period of time but there is also an option to have it deleted immediately.
You can also add these addresses to your Hotmail address book, it is less likely to be seen as spam if it's on your contacts list.
noreply@ezboard.com
help@ezboard.com
helpdesk@ezboard.com
staff@yukucorp.com
staff@mgr1.yuku.com
Hotmail may delay the delivery of ezboard emails. They have marked ezboard emails to be delivered in bulk. It may be delayed a few hours, a few days or a week, and in some cases not at all. Yahoo users
Just like Hotmail and AOL, yahoo will have periods where they will block or delay the delivery of ezboard/yuku emails. Be sure that you have these email address in your address book.
Be sure that you have your spam guard set to move emails that yahoo believes may be spam to the bulk mail folder, rather than auto deleting them. If you have your settings set to auto delete, you won't be able to recover valid emails marked as spam in error.

There is a site called http://www.care2.com/ that provides a variety of free email domains. This email provider blocks emails from ezboard even when you have all spam filters off, and it doesn't go into your spam folder, it just never arrives at all.
noreply@ezboard.com is not blocked but help@ezboard.com and/or helpdesk@ezboard.com are. The latter two addresses are the sender for confirmation emails when you open a support ticket. I tried a test account with this site and was never able to adjust it to receive ezboard support emails.(the confirmation email you receive when you open a support ticket) If you use this email provider I suggest getting another free email like yahoo for your ezboard account.
their email domains include:
@care2.com
@animail.net
@moose-mail.com
@peacemail.com
@snail-mail.net
@vegemail.com
@whale-mail.com
@wildmail.com

Some AOL users have reported that turning off the AOL pop-up blocker will allow them to receive ezboard email. So in addition to the steps above, please try that if you are using AOL email. I am not sure how a pp up blocker would affect the email account, but AOL works in mysterious ways!

We are seeing an increasing number of reports from users who are not receiving ezboard/yuku emails because they are using a work email and their employer is blocking these emails.
If you are using a government (local, state, federal) or an educational email address, it's very likely that you won't receive ezboard/yuku emails.
In these case, you may want to change the email address on the account. Since you won't be able to get the email change validation email, you will want to open a help ticket with the new email. You will be asked to confirm ownership of the account by anwering the account's secret question. If you don't remember the question, don't worry, we'll ask the question, you just provide the answer.
