OVALTINE BLACK-BOTTOM BANANA BREAD
Ovaltine Black-Bottom Banana Bread
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 cup mashed ripe bananas
1/2 ( 1 stick) cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup chocolate ovaltine
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside. In medium bowl blend butter and sugar; add egg and vanilla. Blend until thoroughly combined then add bananas. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Divide batter in half. Add chocolate ovaltine to half of the batter and spread in bottom of greased large loaf pan or 2 small loaf pans. Spread remaining batter on top. Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. (Slightly less if using small loaf pans.)
