Our Private World
I have a feeling that very few, if any, people on this forum ever saw the one-and-only primetime spinoff of ATWT, but for those of you researchers out there, did it sound intriguing to you?

From what I've read it sounds interesting. I mean, Lisa's character back then would have been great to watch in her own show. Besides Lisa, though, there was a core family (the Eldredges) and she did get involved with one of them (John). I don't have too much info about it, but I just thought that since we're talking about classic ATWT, I'd bring it up :)

Any other thoughts on OPW?

Re: Our Private World
OPW does sound intreguing though I've never seen an episode. This spin-off was a direct attempt to capitalize on the success of ABC's Peyton Place with their own prime-time soap. Of course, they thought they could do them one better by spinning the series off of the #1 daytime soap at the time. I'm not familiar with anyone who's ever seen an episode, but if there is anyone out the that remembers watching this series during it's brief run, I'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions!

Our Private World
I watched the show during its entire run.

I don't have time to go into any details at this moment, but I will try to talk about it later. Specific questions are welcomed, but one must remember that it was thiry-five years ago!

I will say that the character of Lisa got less and less airtime as the series was on. I think that Ms. Fulton may have lost interest when the ratings were poor and CBS cancelled the show. Therefore, she may have directed the producers to use her less.

I've always been
intrigued by the descriptions I read of it. It's funny because when I first heard about it I asked my mom & I think she said she never heard of it (& kinda denied it's existence) then it came back to her & she remembered that she had watched it all! Memories play tricks on you! I always get caught mixing reality with spoon when it comes to my soap memories!

My grandmother was a really big Lisa fan, I wish I had been able to ask her about OPW. She must have loved it! Plus Nicholas Coster (the guy who also played Lisa's hubby Edwardo Grimaldi) played Eldredge & he's the kind of actor my grandmother always had a crush on! :lol
