Has anyone seen the film version (Gwyneth Paltrow etc)? The book is absolutely amazing - that author must be some sort of genius! I can't decide whether to go and see it in case it spoils the book? I am thinking I may have to see it as Jeremy Northam (aka Mr Knightley!) is in it. V tempting.

i haven't heard of the movie well i don't watch much movies...i'll see if i can find something about it on the news

The movie is fiction. There is no book, nor are the poets in the movie based on real life poets. It would be nice to think so though, no?

Yup, AS Byatt wrote the book Possession, and this is the film version - I pretty sure it's the same storyline  I looked up when its out - it's in cinemas over here, but only about three in the whole country, so I don't think it's a big budget film. It's not showing anywhere near me, so I'll have to wait till it's out on video
