If you're not sure about buying it, it should be on the Test Server after it's released, you can try it out there since all expansions are available on Test.
Re: Pre-Order Serpent's Spine
I'm such an addict I'll get it get no matter what.
I don't see anything that excites me. New zones and new mobs are mostly so-so ideas in my mind, except we'll see lots of players go over there for the new level 75 mobs and if you want to group it'll be the place to be.
It does seem kinda cool to bring up a low character thru all the new zones. I expect they'll have the higher level loot we're becoming used to.
I don't know what new spells and abilities will be there. I forget which expansion had the added bank slots but it was worth it just for those and I don't see anything like that here.
But heck, you don't need it on day 1, and you can preload it, so just wait for comments or try it out on test after it comes out.
Re: Pre-Order Serpent's Spine
Thanks, Morro for the data.
I may get it for the clicky orb rather than trying to get there the long way. I kinda missed out on all the runs to and fro for new areas being the slaggard player that I am due to work. So if I can just go to a place and not have to work through a quest and whatever, the happier player am I!
In order to receive the bonus item for The Serpent's Spine expansion, you DO NOT have to preorder, every order will be eligible for the bonus item. I thought you might like to know that.
The bonus item for The Serpent's Spine expansion is a scepter that will teleport you to Crescent Reach (the home of the Drakkin) once a day.

First Time Poster Here!
Couple things that I have noticed on the new expansion.
The zones are really detailed and alot of quest to do. (At least on the lower levels). Also, Cass mentioned how much lore was involved in the new expansion.
We ventured into a few of the 60-70 zones and I do believe that I died more in one night on Turnbull then I did all together from lvl 1 - 65. It also took awhile for me to zone with (2) toons. I think I timed it and it took 34mins to run both characters to the Steppes. I havent been back to see if it was just laggy that night.

Ya, some people are taking 5 minutes (more or less) to zone but I'm just as quick as other zones. So I don't know why but perhaps tonight's patch will fix it.
Oh, did I mention tonight was patch patch night? Down for 5 hours or so tomorrow morning
Mobs are tough in the zones but all the zones I saw were outdoor zones and I saw some level 50 wolves to charm.
I should check for undead for Morrgue, he's 62 and I'm looking for a good place to play him. Necros seem pretty good at higher levels, I want to move him up.
