Re: Question on integrating the forums with your web site me
I am trying to intergate the forum with my guild web site alot better then what it is. Is it possible to take the link menu I have here to put on the left side of the board?
www.scostarbase.com/forumindex.html

When ya goto our site www.scostarbase.com/ we have that menu on every section of it except the forums. Wanted to try to blend the forums in better with the site so it all functions as if it was one. Here is the forum link too incase anyone needs to check it with the site.

Below is the body code I used from the first try, but it leaves this big space between the menu and the forums. I haven't figured out how to take that big gap out yet. So if anyone has any tips it would be greatly apriciated. Thanks in advance.:smokin

P.S. OK Tried to add the coding, but it won't show my post with it. So sorry about that. Anyway thanks everyone.

Re: Question on integrating the forums with your web site me
Hello and welcome.

The link menu could be used in association with a sidebar

The whole table for your link menu would have to live in the sidebar section, using nested tables basically.

e.g.

Custom Header (third box):

<table cellspacing="0" style="border: 1px solid #cc0000; padding: 0px; width: 100%">
<tr>
<td style="background-color: #FFFFFF; text-align: center; vertical-align: top; width: 100px">

your links menu table would go here. Use a nested table.

</td>
<td style="text-align: center; vertical-align: top; background-color: #FFCC99">

Custom Footer (fourth box):

</td>
</tr>
</table>

Code note:
All colours in this code should be edited to suit your board.

Re: Question on integrating the forums with your web site me
Mabye I am over looking something. That's in my coding and tried it several different ways. End result is I either get a menu sitting on top of the forums or when it is on the left side of the page there is this big gap the size of a web page between the menu and the forums. lol :smokin

Re: Question on integrating the forums with your web site me
The trick is in the custom footer code, you have to split the code into two parts, one for the custom header, one for the custom footer.

You are nesting the ezboard within the code bascially.
The ezboard would sit in between the custom header and footer if you see what I mean?
