Sorry to ask these questions that may have been answered elsewhere, but given the time limitations and the archiving of the board, perhaps you could at least point me in the right direction.

What I wish to accomplish is to fit a sidebar and the forums in a fixed width area corresponding to the width of my banner image, which is 750px. I would also like to either have a framed background which will include both the "navigation" and "community chest" elements (which would have an elegant simplicity), or simply frame both individually, using the same color background (which would look somewhat busy, but I could deal with it). Hopefully, the sidebar would expand or contract according to the vertical size of the forum area.

It is unimportant whether the sidebar appears on all pages or not.

P.S. I hope it will not take long to archive this help area so that it can be searched. It would be helpful. It would also be helpful if one was able to find the full source code of a theme, including the standard ezBoard javascripts that integrates with the control panel. Blogger has this capability (one can copy the template and see the all of the code, so that it may more easily be modified).

Having the forum and sidebar stick to a width of 700px is easy enough, just change the width of the forum wrapper to 700px and put the image outside the wrapper (note wide posts will still stretch the forum)

Its not possible to group the navigation are and community chest in one "frame" because they are seperate tables and you cant customise them with html. You can give them their own background images though

The CT&T is searchable to a degree now, but making it read only wont improve your chances of searching it I'm afraid!

There is no standard layout ezboard uses, when you create a new board the custom html fields are empty. The themes only change the look of the board, not the layout
