I think they need to work on strengthening RJ and Lindsay's families. Well, RJ's anyway. I like Jen, but I wasn't a fan of Will... and Melanie was just "okay" for me. She never really excited me that much. But I guess if they recasted, it could possibly work. But I don't know about Lindsay's family.... But RJ's family, on the other hand, is a different story. Especially Rachel, Nora's daughter. Since Nathan Purdee (Hank, Rachel's father) was treated so horribly that he quit the show, I'm not sure he'd ever come back even if they asked him to. In the past, they sort of hinted at the possibility that Rachel was RJ's daughter (because he and Nora had an affair), but I don't think that was every really explored. Since Hank isn't coming back most likely, although it would bother me that they changed history, I wouldn't mind them bringing Rachel back onto the canvas and somehow revealing that she's actually RJ's daughter with Nora. It's not like Rachel isn't related to anyone, she has her mother, Nora, half-brother, Matthew, uncle RJ, cousin Jamie, etc. There's plenty they could do with her. Maybe not right now, but I think especially for RJ's custody battle over Jamie it would be good to bring her back to testify on RJ's behalf.

I would love to see Rachel come back for a number of reasons. I could even go for re-writing history and making her RJ's daughter, especially since RJ had to lose Kerri. Rachel has plenty of ties in Llanview, and there needs to be more diversity. I'm really tired of RJ & Vangie being the only AA people in town.

Me too, RS, me too. I actually liked Jordan when back when he was introduced, he was Evangeline's friend and a doctor. What is up with the constant changes in doctors? Dr. Long, Jordan, Paige... where's Larry? Why can't Dorian be a doctor again? I think TPTB believe that since they have some Hispanic (Carlotta, Antonio, Adriana, Cristian) characters, they don't need to have many AA characters (only RJ and Vangie). I think they're wrong... a good part of Y&R's success has always been based on the fact that they have a good base of AA characters, and a large AA audience. I think Rachel should be back, and if possible Hank as well. I miss Hank, and Rachel. Although I wasn't a huge fan of the last Rachel... You're right, Rachel does have a lot of history. She dated Kevin for one, and she has family in town. I'd really like to see her back... plus, it would give RJ another familial tie to the show besides Jamie, and Nora which doesn't really count.
