Tatina sat in a chair looking through a thick book. It was a book on ice skating. She had seen it at a book store when she went shopping for her school things that summer and insisted on getting it. She planned to start skating again when she had first started here. By now she had given up and wasn't sure if she still knew how to skate. She turned the page to see a girl doing a double toe loop. "Show off."

"Skating, huh?" Mercedes said, looking over Tatina's shoulder at the book she had. "Plain skating is boring as hell, but Hockey's a blast," she added, taking a seat across from Tatina.

Tatina shrugged. "Oh, I can't play hockey that well, but my brother can." she said turning a page. "And skating is pretty boring untill you learn to do more comlicated stuff."

Tatina looked at her worn-out watch. "Oh, I gotta go. I'm gonna be late. Nice meeting you though." As she said that, she stuffed the book into her bag and headed out the door.
