SOD interview... Well, I did tell him, Al or no Al....
Well, will wonders never cease...

I told him we were interested in WHATEVER projects he worked on... that we support him and I said I hoped he'd find a way to let us know whatever projects he'll work on... Well, I guess this interview was his way of letting us know... (aside from the fact that he probably would have given the interview regardless... but I like to think he was communicating to his fans, huh? Well... Its a nice thought anyways)

Here's the link....

and my comments...

I don't know what island life is like... its the one thing I know I couldn't possibly relate to him on because Hawaii is a trip I've put off for many years, always one reason or another (mostly financial in nature as most of my travel in the world was work related actually - haven't done any serious travel vacation on the level of Hawaii) and he was there for his "formative years"? I could just see him pouting over cleaning up funky mangos... more of a dream to me to live on an island... than anything tangible... like the pictures of Kauai my dad took that I considered paradise, and my silly Kauai refrigerator magnets that he got me that I should probably put away for fear of triggering thoughts about what Nathaniel is doing... LOL... but seriously...

I really respect Nathaniel's ideas and I think he has a great plan... Having a life he really identifies with and all... I mean, camping is already all that and a bag of chips as you all well know I'm into that big time, but set in Kauai? He's setting up shop in a place like that?... I kept saying here about how cool this man is... he is definitely my idea of a cool cat... Man, with a life like that... who would want to go back to LA or NY, for ANY role???...

But I'm glad he will make it work so he can do both, so he can have his cake and eat it too.. I can't wait to see his work someplace else... I can't wait to find out what projects he works on, and I hope the soap mags will cover it even if he's no longer with a soap... or Nate finds a way to let us know...

Ya know, when I do visit the islands one day, hopefully soon... wouldn't take a rocket scientist to know what outfit I'll be asking the prices on... Ladies... lets do an island camping trip... heh heh...

Actually, the business sounds cool even if Nathaniel had nothing to do with it... what a way to discover the place, huh? And they cater to all your needs.. probably pricey, but definitely an awesome way to discover the place... ya know, I know HE wouldn't be there.. What I'm saying is not about that, though it would be an amazing bonus (definitely)... but it would still be cool even if he had nothing to do with it.. I just know about it because of him... Well, I'll file it under the "maybe someday" file...

(Actually, someday might be right around the corner for me.. I'll know at the end of this month some big news that could make my life a cake walk... I don't want to start dreaming the big dreams until its official...)

You know, a dream is like a river, ever changing as it flows
And the dreamer is just a vessel, that must follow where it goes
Trying to learn from what's behind you, and never knowing what's in store
And each day is a constant battle, just to stay between the shores
And I will sail my vessel, until the water runs dry
Like a bird upon the wind, these waters are my sky
I'll never reach my destination, if I never try
So I will sail my vessel, until the water runs dry
Too many times we stand aside and let the water flow away
What we put off until tomorrow, has now become today
So don't you sit upon the shoreline, and say you're satisfied
Choose to chance the rapids, and dare to dance the tides

yeah I read the interview last night...
thanx for sharing it over here though. We keep getting more evidence on how much of a cool guy he is.

I too don't know what island life is like, the only true island I've been to is Martha's Vineyard and that it no where close to Hawaii. I would love to travel there some day though, and from what I've heard about Kauai, what a place. I think you mentioned in another post about wishing you were closer to your dad so you could share those pics that he has of Kauai and I wish you were too so I could see those pics of the place. and I know what you mean about seeing a young him getting mad at cleaning up the funky mangos. I wish I had a mango tree in my yard or at least a tree with edible fruit. Alls we have is this stupid apple tree that grows these little green apples that we can't eat.

It is nice to know that he does have a plan, no matter what happens with his acting career. Though I'm sure he won't have a problem with that. and have it be something that he really enjoys and as you said identifies with, that is just too cool.

and you're right that business does sound cool. where they teach you how to fish, etc. it seems like such a cool thing to do, no matter wheter he's involved or not. definitely can't beat the location that's for sure.
