description: It's Harry's fifth year. Dumbledore has set countless missions into action in an attempt to counter the Dark Lord, but Fudge refuses to believe that Voldemort has returned. Concerned for Harry's well-being, the wise old headmaster decides to send him away as part of a student exchange program. He wants him away from the press when news of You-Know-Who's resurrection breaks loose (as it's bound to eventually), and he wants him in a safe, peaceful place. Each of the other houses get to send a student as well, hand selected by Dubledore: Susan Bones, Cho Chang, and Draco Malfoy. Ron and Hermione were permitted to go along as well. When invited to take the trip, Harry politely declined until Dumbledore offered to let his two best friends join in. It, indeed, looked a bit suspicious, but nothing to cause too much harm. The real reasons for selecting the students were strictly private, besides. They were all told it was for their well-rounded balance of extra-curriculars and fair grades. It was soon decided, however, that Harry would need a guardian. Not a body guard by any means, merely someone from Hogwarts to look after him. As he was already in need of a good job, Remus Lupin applied to teach Defense Against the Dark Arts at Salem, and with a little push from Dubledore, was accepted. Unlikely, you say? Unlogical, unthinkable, unrealistic, unprobable? Ridiculous? You're absolutely right! But, this is a role playing game. It has to be a little absurd or it wouldn't be even remotely interesting.
