Some ugly history
I have interest in Fox's Book of Marytr's, and how some reformers and believers went against the RCC for their doctrines of praying to Mary and other saints.
Some of these faced the issues and called it ridiculous and idolatry. Of course those who did speak against it usually were first incarcerated and then tortured. You know like having their skin pinched and torn up. Eyes poked out and then put on a hot iron skillet for a morning wake up. *sighs* Or having them bathed in a hot tub of oil. After that they might be hanged or burned to death etc .
The RCC by the power of the popes or by the power of the kings would all do this in the name of Jesus?
The most sanguinary brutality that could be imagined is not by the pagans (althought they were bad) but by the RCC and the believers who were against reformers.
The excruciating pain that our saints went through in the past is so disdainfully sick that at times it is hard to read such things.
Yet we know that these things will take place as history has shown us. We can see that people were no different than Judas or the Peter of the flesh.
Backbitters, backstabbers, betrayers, two face, haters of what is good, and the lovers of self all add up to rejecting Christ for their own lusts and gain.
These religious people who only wanted control and power and cut people's heads off if they even read the bible or even claim to be a follower of a certain teacher from a certain faith.
At times age, gender or position a person may have would not stop them from being killed. God still did his miracles though and as today he has not stopped doing them.
Religion today has not stopped teaching false doctrines in many circles and only the RCC has produced so many false teachings. She was born from the pagan practices of Bablyon and the RCC turned into the Mother of harlots who only children are them that have kept her practices.
We can see that nearly 90 percent of the faiths have kept one practice or another from their mother the RCC.
I am glad one or two lines seems to have kept themselves pure from the RCC and her horrid practices that have lead many to heresy. This does not mean the ppl who go to the catholic churches would condone such a thing. Many are saved and are good law abiding people who care for others and have a heart of Christ manifesting in them. Yet we must cry out come out of her my people and be ye seperated from Bablyon the Mystery religion.
Well, Mary should never be prayed to and you would think that the Apostles at one time or another would have mentioned this in their epistles or gospels.
Bablyon Idolatry at its worst.
