There is no rule about what parts of the books / ages to play, but at present we mainly play Third Age, but there are a few Fourth
Age threads also. Both canons and original characters are welcome, although a player cannot have more original characters than canon characters. AU threads and ideas are as welcome as those based on the books and movies, as long as it's a solid idea.
The focus of the roleplaying is on quality rather than quantity, and long and descriptive game posts are common.
We presently need a number of book characters, like Elrond, Frodo, Merry, Pippin and Theoden. Please check the board for the latest list.
