Subforums the easy way
The more oft used method of making subforums is to link to a separate board using the forum display name.

For an example of this, see the ezboard help forums. The bugbase, Cool Tips & Tricks, and the Public Showcase are all links to separate boards, also known as satellite boards, or subforums.

Doing this is very simple - set up your main board and satellite boards.

Create a new forum on your main board, and place this code in the forum display name

<a href=http://pubXX.ezboard.com/bsatelliteboard class=title>Board/Subforum Name</a>

Additionally: A redirect or meta refresh is needed in the forum that is used to link to the satellite board to send the user to the satellite board if they use the jump-to menu from another forum on the main board.

<*META http-equiv=refresh content=0;URL=http://pubXX.ezboard.com/bsatelliteboard>

(remove the *)

This method is good because it is simple, however it has several problems:

* The post count on the main board will NOT be updated.
* The satellite boards will need separate CSC Gold payment to remove the ads.
* Back links to the main board from the satellite board need to be added manually.
