Susan - Spoilers for Grave Peril
What does Harry see in Susan?
What does Susan see in Harry? Does she really love him or is he just a really good way of advancing her career?
After being vamped in Grave Peril she purposely avoided Harry because she knew it would kill them both if she gave in to her bloodlust and she knew he would let her. She didn't trust him to be strong enough for the both of them. This tells me that not only did she love him and want to protect him but she also believed that he loved her and that his love would make him vulnerable to her.
This impressed me about Susan. This took great strength of character and was likely incredibly difficult for her to do. The one person she wants to go to and take comfort in she can't.

OK, we know that Susan is back in book 5, Death Masks, I wonder if she will change into a "vampire" or if she's gonna die...probably will trying to save Harry... but I don't think they will be back as a couple... what do you think?
Won't you come and dance with the Beautiful Death?
Re: Susan - Spoilers for Grave Peril
We know now how Susan came back. I generally like her, except for Harry's overwhelming guilt complex. It was Susan who stole Harry's invitation to the vampire party, so it's not Harry's fault that she got semi-vamped. It was hers. And it was Susan's presence that started the war. I don't see how Bianca could have finagled a war without Susan's presence.
Do Harry and Susan love each other? Hard to tell. Mostly what Jim has shown us so far is lust and guilt.

ooh - new posters and more discussion! Fun!
I generally like Susan too (how can you hate a woman who sounds pretty sexy with James Marsters reading her voice? ) - and I liked her more in "Death Masks" than in some of the others. She kind of gets a different form of 'survival instinct' that changes her. Though I did like her in "Storm Front" - she kinda kept Harry off-balance, which was kinda fun...
