I'd start here, but it should pretty much be "plug it in and go".
They suggest most of the hardware be right behind your DSL/Cable modem, so it has control of your bandwidth.

Ririn,
I can give you a hand walking you through setting up vonage. I have had vonage for over 2 years now and never had any issues with it.

Sorry should probably take this down. The phone adapter I had was bad, took it back got a new one, I am up and running now. Don't know why none of you have called me.
