-Biography-
Umi’s grandfather foretold that his daughter’s child would be extremely strong with the element of water and named her as well as trained her beginning from her third birthday.
This training included how to create and control the water element and use it in several different ways. As well as this magic, she was also taught how to defend herself and attack with the aid of the family’s treasure, Mizubutai. This treasure is a six-foot magical staff that amplifies her magic even further when used, but is also used for melee combat. The staff is mostly white and made of what looks like marble with rims and strange designs upon it, some matching her tattoos. Resting upon the top of the staff is a curious rough purple crystal. She has become so accustomed with the weapon that she can twirl and throw it like a baton and easily use it in combinations with her magic as her physical strength isn’t really that much.
After the age of six she was taught how to heal wounds and some illnesses with her skills. She then became Avanti Village’s healer next to her mother who also had similar powers. To relax and get in touch with nature she often swims and bathes in the huge mostly hidden lake near the village, remembering that the small cave behind the waterfall was her ‘hiding place’ when she was younger. Lately, (with a few extra nudges from her grandfather) she has felt she wants to go further out from her village and explore, as her skills increased she got the idea that she could be a travelling healer, her grandfather however, made sure she kept up with her combat training as if he knew something would happen to her.
Umi was taught a lot but before she hit her current age of 17, she felt like her grandfather was hiding something from her but never pushed the subject.
-Descriptions-
A beautiful girl of skinny build, she has deep azure eyes and waist-long brown hair with blue streaks. The forest area she lives in tends to keep a decent amount of warmth in the air and so she wears few clothes; these tend to be cut-off jean shorts, a white-crop top, a grey ribbon headband, and a black/white striped sweatband on her left wrist. The soles of her feet have become quite used to rough terrain, as she wears no footwear at all. On both sides of her abdomen (which due to her short top is always shown) are black tattoos, each simply three wavy lines resembling the old symbol for the element of water. There is another tattoo of unknown origin on her right shoulder, three triangles in a curved row, a semi circle mimicking the curve below it and an upside down triangle under that.
