As the name indicates...this RPG will revolve around Crossroads and New Beginnings.CrossroadsWe would like to see characters come to a 'crossroads' in their lives where important and life changing decisions have to be made. These events can be very personal...i.e. a relationship beginning, ending or changing, or they can be moral or spiritual. Whatever is decided, they should show 'growth' for your character.New BeginningsThis can be any number of items as well and most likely will relate back to the 'crossroads' in your character(s)' life or lives and/or career. They may be starting a new career as teacher or student at Xavier's School for the Gifted or may have been selected to train for the upcoming X-Men team(s). Their 'new beginning' once again may be as simple as establishing a new relationship or changes in an old one.

Unable to sleepWho: Kitty Where: Gym When: Latenight/Early morning With: Herself at the moment
She couldnt sleep, her mind just would not settle down. It was unusual for the phaser however. Normally, after a cup of chamomile tea and a hot bath, Kitty was usually able to drop off into the arms of the sandman, but not tonight. Grabbing her small cd player and headed for the gym, dressed in a pair of black silk jammi pants and a black half tank. Her feet bare as she set the cd player on the floor, hitting play with a toe.
The volume wasn't too loud as not to wake any of the mansions occupants that might be sleeping, and Kitty's body danced, moving easily to the beat of the music. She was so into the music and her movements that the phaser didn't even notice that she had levitated into the air and was dancing 3 feet off the ground.

After meeting everyone last night Ryu awoke in the morning. He remembered someone telling him, their was a gym. He threw on a white beader, and pair of gray sweat pants. He opened the door to his room. He went right out down the hall, as he rubbed his eyes. He couldn't believe that he was this early.
He went the way someone told him to go. He felt like he gained like 10 pounds, he was in the hospital. He opened the door to the room. He noticed a girl in the room, but decided to just get started. He walked over to a punching bag. He smacked his hand on it. Just so he could get a feel for it. He then took a deep breath, and started to unleash a combo of punchs and kicks.
During the middle of it, he screamed, "Man this feels good!". After that he continued to release his stress on the punching bag.
Summary: Rei goes down to the gym to exercise Tag: Kitty, anyone OCC: Can I join in the fun

Kitty looked up, ok well down when she heard someone else come into the gym. Her concentration lost, she hit the ground, unfortunatly she phased halfway through the floor, getting herself stuck. "Just great," she muttered as she tried to pull herself out. "Little help here?" she asked, calling over to the other kid.

Ryu stopped his rountine and noticed the girl from before, was in the floor. To say he was shocked was an under statement. He could see a girl "in' the floor. He walked over to her and said, "I guess your kinda stuck. So how am I suppose to help you out of that floor? Cause last time I checked, I can't break a floor with my fist," said Ryu to the girl in the floor.

Mez rubbed his trapezoids and shoulder, trying to relieve some of the tension in his upper body. He had spent most of the night trying to fix his Chevy. He really had to stop putting Ethanol into his gasoline. It stretched the gas so he'd spend less on that, but all it did was burn out his Cavalier. He'd found that it was degrading his fuel efficiency and caused it to be more prone to breakdowns. He gave it a band-aid and got the thing running again, but his eyes were blood-shot and strained.
Mez entered the gym hoping to relieve some of his mental stress with some sweat. He found his own towel and placed it over a weight-lifting bench. Mez sat down and was getting some of the weights when he looked over at the other two people in the gym. Save for the 3 of them the gym was empty. He walked up next to Ryu and just at him then at Kitty for a few seconds. "How'd you end up like that?" Mez said asking the stupid question. Not waiting for an answer, he turned to Ryu "Give me a hand will ya" Mez just gave him a look as if it was so simple. "Let's just pull her out." He said.

Ryu was kinda suprised that it could be that easy to get her out of the floor. I mean she was in the floor.
"If you say so man. Here," said Ryu as he grabbed the girl's hand. All of sudden, Ryu felt his arm jerk. He quickly pulled back. His power were reacting for some reason. Ryu didn't know why his powers were doing this. Ever since that night with his father's life lost, he hadn't been able to control his body. The more he thought about, the more he wondered if had control of his body.
He looked at the others and said, "I can't touch her or anyone. I don't want to hurt people anymore. Don't touch me!" said Ryu as he backed away from them.
Summary: Ryu was about to help out, when felt his body was about to hurt Kitty. So he quickly backed off and is now freaking out. He scared of himself.

Kitty was seriously embarrased, one, that she'd been caught by younger students while out in the middle of the night and 2, because she was now stuck in the floor. When the other guys offered to help, she shook her head. "Thanks...but to get out...I have to phase...grabbing me would only take you with me...but it's appreciated," she said, taking a semi deep breath and levitating herself out of the floor, brushing gym dirt off her clothes.
"Now, do I want to know why you 2 are out of the dorms this late?" she asked, in semi teacher mode.

Being new to this place, Rogue was having a hard time sleeping. She didn't know what time it was when she finally sat bolt upright in bed and gave up on the notion of getting any sleep.
But, Rogue thought that perhaps some exploring would at least help her kill the time before everyone else woke up. As she walked the halls of the mansion, Rogue came across the gym. "Maybe there's something in there I can do for a while..." she thought aloud in a soft voice right before entering the room.
The first words she heard on the other side of the door made her think twice about a very early morning workout:

Oh, no - she wasn't supposed to be here! Rogue felt a bit embarassed and overwhelmed as she tried to think about what to do. Of course, they'd all have seen her already... She had to at least apologize.
Rogue cleared her throat and slowly approached the small group gathered in the guy. "Uhh... Good mornin' ya'll," she began. "Uh, Ah'm sorry - Ah didn't know that we couldn't use tha' gym yet..."
But, Rogue wasn't a student, and not all of the rules of the mansion applied to her. She was 25, afterall - clearly older than Kitty, but Kitty had been there longer than Rogue had, so if she said it was too early for the gym, then it was too early.
Rogue was trying so hard to be polite and to not break any rules because she really didn't want to get sent away - it was because of this place that she no longer had to run amok with the Brotherhood. And, she really liked it here...

Ryu quickly backed away more, he quickly tucked his hand underneath his arms. Ryu didn't want to take the chances of touching anyone in this room. He needed to learn to control this power of his.
Ryu quickly responded to the female's words with, "I am sorry. I couldn't get anymore sleep, so I thought that I come and work out. Sorry, I'll leave then."
He started to make his way to the door when he noticed a new person at the door.

Ryu noticed this girl infront of him, and said, "Good morning, I am sorry to make this short, but it's nice to meet you beautiful. I wish, I could stay and chat, but you heard the lady. Beside, I don't like causing trouble."
With that Ryu quickly walk past the girl in front of him.

Mez started to wonder what exactly he did that was wrong. "Am I a guest or a suspect in something?" He asked Kitty going back to his bench. "Is there a rule I don't know about that says I can't be in here?" Said Mez asking yet another question. Ryu, the guy that Mez had met in the Pizza Place still seemed a little odd to Mez. He resisted contact with people, just the thought of any physical interaction got him shaky. Mez didn't know what to do so he just laid back on the bench.
"Uhh... Good mornin' ya'll," she began. "Uh, Ah'm sorry - Ah didn't know that we couldn't use tha' gym yet..."
Mez took a deep breath and got his grip just right. Exhaling he lifted the bar up and brought it down close to his chest, repeating it 7 more times before stopping. Mez wondered what exactly was up. James hadn't been here too long but if the Gym was restricted. "I won't tell nobody if you won't." Mez said shrugging. He hadn't had a good nights sleep in a long time, working up a sweat always seemed to cure him, why Mez was here.
Summary: Mez wonders if there's rules on Gym hours. He continues training regardless. Tags: Rogue and Kitty

Okay, confusion here... what time is it exactly in this thread... Late Night/Early Morning suggest to some of us that it could be any time between 2AM and 5AM... could you pretty please clarify the time, Thena sweet? Thankies.
Just a note, it would not be 7AM, as that would be classified simply as Morning... although, any time before the sun rises should be marked as Predawn.

He heard Rogue loud and clear but Mez was little bit busy finishing his set of inclined presses. He really couldn't talk too much while lifting weights, your focus was supposed to be on what you're doing so you don't end up screwing up and dropping the weights down on you. "9...10!" Mez counted quietly to himself.
"So... What brings ya'll here this early in tha mornin'?" she asked mid-stretch. "Ya'll ultra early risers, or somethin'?"
Mez got back up and threw his towel over his shoulder before answering her. "More like Super-Late Sleepers," Mez said half-chuckling. "I don't really sleep too well," the young man proclaimed. "I'm Mezeker, 'Mez' for short if you like," he said introducing himself.

Rogue finished her stretches and got onto an elliptical machine. She kinda wished that there was a TV around so that she could zone out to it... But, there were 2 other people in the room...
But, talking while working out was difficult, to say the least.

Background: Many, many years ago, Charles Francis Xavier established Xavier's School for the Gifted. Also, seeing other Mutants misusing and abusing their powers, he created the first generation of the X-Men.This original team was trained and lead by an old friend of his...Logan, aka Wolverine. Logan's co-leader was a young woman and student named Ororo Munroe, aka Storm. Once the team was trained and fielded on active missions, they took on the additional responsibility of teaching and helping new Mutants deal with their powers.On one horrible night, the X-Men were fielded to stop a particularly powerful Mutant and his 'gang'. The 'intelligence' received on this Mutant and his cohorts was sketchy and actually turned out to be a set-up to entrap the X-Men and take them captive. In the ensuing melee', 'things' happened and a number of the team were killed outright or severely injured.After making sure his remaining team-mates were going to be okay, Logan left. Xavier has not, to current time, explained his absence or even whether or not he survived.Current Time/Game Time: Almost seven years later, as Human/Mutant incidents are on the rise, Xavier once again sees a need for a Mutant 'police force'. He sees this new X-Men team as a force for good and a way to help peacefully integrate the rapidly emerging Mutant society with the established Human society.
