Veteran Teachers
I have to feel a little sorry for teachers who have been in this game for a long time. Some have gone from the Rochester Method to SimCom/various forms of signed English, and more recently a push toward ASL.

So my question is, what can we do to support these teachers and help them overcome old habits, try to become "more ASL", without them becoming too frustrated and overwhelmed?

let the students teach them. possibly a night of deaf world. with strict ground rules that students do not demean the teachers for not "getting it right."

Re: Veteran Teachers
I have never had this situation in my classroom. I find most admin don't know the first thing about sign language. I teach using what is most comfortable for me (ASL/Pidgin/English) depending on the situation. So, the admin can tell what to do all they want but they won't know what I am actually doing unless they learn sign language.
(I have been teaching 18 years).

ps this looks like a great board.
