I must preface this by stating that I was not watching Y&R when they met, so this is not a first hand account. It is only their history as I understand it.

When Victor met Nikki she was working as a stripper. Victor took a liking to her and decided to turn her into a lady. There was this whole pygmalian storyline as Victor taught her to be a woman of society. In the process, they fell in love. Of course, there were other stories like her marriage to Kevin Bancroft (?) and her being pregnant with Victoria but thought she was Kevin's because Victor had had a vasectamy (?sp). If I'd been Vic, I'd have sued that doctor a long time ago! LOLOL
