Shortly before Christmas, last year, we were informed that Shianna was not doing well at all. She was suffering from massive internal organ failure and the prognosis was not good. She passed away, peacefully, a few days before Christmas. Kelly, her coach and family were all there when she left this earth. From what I can remember, they cremated her body and her ashes were scattered along one of her favorite skiing trails during a candle-lit night time memorial.

She is, and will always be, missed by those of us who were lucky enough to know her.
