What would you like to see NM do next if not Al?

For the longest time I've been thinking about Nathaniel playing a character in LOTR. Of course that's not possible now since all the movies are shot now and on top of that they seemed to be focusing on British/Australian actors but I still liked to think about it. My fave actor and fave movie what a combo would that be. I just never brought this up before cause I wasn't sure if any of you were as interested in LOTR like I am. I especially have LOTR on the brain right now since 2nd movie just came out on DVD (I could go on and on with what I like about this movie, but I'll save that for the Off Topic board). It would be nice to see him do this type of thing though, something we haven't seen him do before could be interesting. There's only two type of characters that I could see him playing in the movie however. One being a man, I think he has the stature to fit right in with the human characters in this movie. One of the main warriors perhaps so we'd get a chance to see him and not get lost in the background. Of course he'd probably have to get a little more scruffier look but that might be interesting.

The other type of character type that I might see him playing in this movie is a dwarf but that might be way too hairy and they would have to make him look quite shorter so maybe that wouldn't work. None of the other characters would really work either. Elves are tall but skinny, Nate is way to muscular for that. :crazybrows

and he surely wouldn't pass for a hobbit and the wizards are too old. and any of the bad guys in the movie have to where too much makeup and protestics and don't have hardly any dialogue so that wouldn't work either. Ok, that's enough about LOTR before I get too carried away. It's just a though anyways, don't know if any of you would agree with my ideas but it's just my opinion.

Now for something that he could really be in. I can't say that I'd want him to do another soap, at least not right now anyways. Maybe in the future. Being on a soap did wonders for his career though I think. It definitely got his name out there more than any of those movies that he was in did. Most soap fans are really into their characters and most likely know the names of all the actors on the show or at least recognize them when the see them. Since soaps air 5 days a week, it's easy to do. But I don't want to get attached to another soap right now so I wouldn't want him to do that. I would definitely tune in though to see his scenes but knowing how I am I could easily get wrapped up in the show. What's starts as watching one character or storyline turns into watching the whole show. But if another soap was the direction he took, I'd do my best to keep this from happening and not get involved, just watch his performances and keep it at that.

I'd love to see him do more movie roles, especially leads when he can get them. That is the way to get his name out there. If not the lead, then at least a supporting role where he'd play a major role in the movie. If he went in this direction, I can so see him becoming a Big Hollywood Celeb with tons of fans and as we all know he has the talent and he definitely deserves it. Small roles would work too but the more of him in the movie would be better, for him and for us. :rollface

Ok, particular roles. Well at least at first I'd like to see him play the Romatic lead or the rebel bad boy since we already know he can do both so well. But I'd also love to see do something that we haven't seen him do before, something completely unsoap like. Give us the opportunity to really see his range as an actor. Being in movies allows you to play different type of roles from movie to movie and that might be good to see. :popcorn

I guess doing a prime time drama might work too but then he'd be stuck in the whole playing the same role all the time thing. But if he did do this, perhaps he could still do movies on the side thing like some television stars do.

Theatre could work too. I have to admit that I've never been too into theatre but maybe that's because I've never had a lot of exposure to it and therefore haven't had the opportunity to get into it. But if he took that road, I'd definitely make an effort to get into it.

How's this for an idea, he lends his voice to an animated movie. Not Disney though but one of those other ones that look like Disney but aren't. He could do the voice of a surfer dude from Hawaii, hehe. :toofunny

We know he has a great voice from his VOTN stuff so this could definitely work.
