Yuku and ezboard
Take some of the mystery out of what Yuku is, and what migration from ezboard to Yuku will be like, by exploring please these links:

About yuku

Other Yuku/ezboard links:

Sending ezInbox messages to imported Yuku profiles
Request migration of an ezboard to yuku
(Be sure to include the URL of the ezboard to be imported).

For help with Yuku:

Yuku Help Files
Yuku Help Ticket
Support (chat with other Yuku users, report Bugs, get links to other help boards)
skins and css help (help with customizing your board or profile)
Get Help (unofficial help board, where users help users)
How do I....
Why can't I login?

Yuku Feature Additions:

07/18/07
07/27/07
08/02/07
08/08/07
08/13/07
08/18/07

10/18/07
11/06/07
01/07/08
02/12/08
04/17/08

For those ezOps who have been waiting for the threaded view, that is now available. The developers are still refining it but it works pretty well as is.

Re: Yuku and ezboard
Those links are unavailable. Could you tell us when the ezboard question link will return?

I mean this one

help.yuku.com/Ezboard_questions

The one which gives December 2007 as a decision time for board owners.

Re: Yuku and ezboard
The Help pages were completely revamped, over the last few weeks, because there have been so many changes that much of the information was no longer accurate. I don't think the ezboard questions page is available anymore. Help is back up again as of yesterday:

Main Page

ezboard-Yuku account transfer

ezboard to Yuku board migrations

Re: Yuku and ezboard
My account will not transfer over to yuku.I suspect many others are having the same problem.I first noticed it when my email verification never reached my email. The email account is the same one I've always used.In fact,it is the only email account I've ever had.
-How,can I fix this?

Re: Yuku and ezboard
scottwolverine1111, I looked up the e-mail address that's on your ezboard account and found that it has 5 Yuku profiles on it. You're only supposed to be able to have 5 Yuku profiles on any one account, so that may be why your account didn't migrate to Yuku properly. If you submit a Yuku help ticket (the form is here), they should be able to get your account migrated for you.

Re: Yuku and ezboard
The community that I was in recently migrated to Yuku and I'm totally confused about how I migrate my own EZ Board account to Yuku too.

Could someone please explain to me about how I go and migrate. Thanks

Re: Yuku and ezboard
JordanHead2, your account migrated to Yuku along with the board where it was a member. At Yuku, your e-mail address is your account, so you should be able to log into your Yuku profile by entering your e-mail address plus the password you used on your ezboard account. You may also be able to log in by entering your profile name in this format:

JordanHead2.u

If you still aren't able to log into your Yuku profile, please open a Yuku Help ticket. The form is on this page.

You're welcome.

:)

Logging in with your e-mail address and ezboard password worked for me, so, if it's not working for you, opening a Help ticket is the best way to go.

Re: Yuku and ezboard
Hi,

one of our communities got an upgrade your community announcement yesterday.

We went and checked the message about ezboard to yuku at yuku help and see that December 2006 - one year - remains with a message that date will soon be updated.

We are now in the 2nd half of November and is that message going to be updated anytime soon? At this point there is a need to know if the reported mandatory migrations will occur in 2007 or early in 2008.

I don't know what message you're referring to (please include a link if you want us to look at it) but we honestly don't know when "mandatory" migrations will begin. A lot depends on when the Yuku developers have all the necessary features and utilities ready to go "live". When everything is in place to make sure that a mass migration will go as smoothly as possible, that is probably when it will occur. For months, we have been saying it would be around the end of 2007. That is still the only ETA we have.

I know that you consider yourselves ezboard users, not Yuku users, so it seems natural to ask about this here, but I will say again that the best place to ask about Yuku related things -- whether it's feature development, development progress, migration dates, or design questions -- is at Yuku. There, you have a far better chance of having the Yuku designers, who are in a much better position than we are to have the latest information, address your concerns. Posting there on a weekday is your best bet.

Re: Yuku and ezboard
I went to yuku support and read people's posts and how they got the message they was being transferred and there was no link to refuse the transfer. They opened a ticket to yuku to say they didi not want to be moved and they got moved anyway! :( :( Why is there not a link on the announcement that gives the option to wait until later? People are getting moved whether they open a ticket to defer the move or not.

I have asked about that but don't have an answer, yet.

The best thing to do is to open a Yuku Help ticket or even post at Yuku Support. If you post here or open an ezboard ticket, by the time your request is referred to someone at Yuku, it may be too late to stop the migration.

Login problems

If you've just transferred your ezboard username to yuku, and you can't log in, here are some ideas to help you work out what the problem might be.

1. If you have a global account, you may need to add .u or @u to the end of your username. For example, instead of Pink try Pink@u
Also try .e or @e
2. If you have a local account, you'll need to add .boardname or @boardname to the end of your username. For example, if your home board was called ezdesign, you'd try Pink@ezdesign instead of just Pink.
3. Try logging in with your email instead of your username
4. Try requesting that your password be resent to you to ensure it's correct.

Multiple accounts on ezboard

If your email address is correct, but it won't accept your password, think about whether you already had a yuku account, or whether you had multiple ezboard accounts with the same email.

If you'd made one a long time ago and forgotten about it, or if you'd migrated other accounts over and they used the same email address, your profile might have been joined to an existing account rather than starting up a new one.

In these cases, the password of the newly migrated profile would now be the same as the existing account it has been added to.

Try logging in to another of your yuku profiles and checking the switch profile link to see if your newly migrated profile has been added to that account.

If you still can't access your account, put in a help ticket www.yuku.com/help/ticket

Re: Yuku and ezboard
URGENT

a board I was not much of a member on has migrated to YUKO. I have now discovered my profile is showing my location down to almost street level.

I REGARD THIS AS A GROSS INVASION OF PRIVACY and surely and abuse of my exboard membership by ezboard.

Please tell me how to change it. I am so stressed out by this I cannot find where to do it after messing about for the last 15 minutes trying to find it. I think ANGER and FEAR are preventing me seeing where to do it.

Thanks

Re: Yuku and ezboard
OK.. I finally found it by doing some deep breathing. But can I suggest that many members are not going to realise they are now revealing their location.

And I still regard this an a terrible abuse of privacy to default location on peoples profile to be showing and using I assume their IP address to do so.

In fact really surely there is case to so. EVERY SINGLE MEMBER SHOULD BE GIVEN THE RIGHT TO SAY NO TO HAVING THEIR PERSONAL DETAILS REVEALED. You cannot just transfer them and hope they know about it and find out they are being compromised and then try and work out how to do it first up on the new system.

Please someone let the migratration peole know this cannot happen. Ezboard could be in trouble here.

I agree with friendly fox
The default should be set so that the location map does not show on the profile. That is an invasion of privacy and I know of people who have scarpered because of it.

Re: Yuku and ezboard
When an ezboard account migrates to Yuku, what displays on the Yuku public profile is based on what displays on the ezboard profile. While location in the Yuku profile is displayed as a map instead of text, that map doesn't display at all if you have your location disabled in your ezboard profile at the time of migration.

friendlyfox, in your case, you do have your location displayed in your ezboard profile, so that would cause your location to be displayed in your Yuku profile. It never displays your street address.

As always, if you have questions about, or problems with, anything relating to Yuku, you should ask or report it by posting at Yuku Support or opening a Yuku Help ticket.

:)

Re: Yuku and ezboard
I have found that many times google maps will use the location of the post office for your zip code. If you are like me and live fairly close to the post office it looks like it is showing your street.

I turned that box off for my profile.
