Personal Bio :: I am a Christian. I believe in the Scriptures, and based my entire set of beliefs on what the Bible says.
However, while still being a firm believer in the Bible, I am also a realist. I am open to the possibility that some parts of the Bible may in fact be the deductions of some educated theologians (e.g., the apostles had differing views on particular issues, though most of them were resolved). Also, in the Old Testament, we have such books as Ecclesiastes, which implies that this life is all that we have; therefore, calls us to "eat and drink", because there is nothing better for us, since we all equally die. (Ecc 2:24) Yet, Paul denies this in one of his letters, and calls us to recognize that this is not so, that there is a resurrection.(1Cor 15:32)
So, I guess this gives you a little glimpse of how I approach things. I take everything into consideration, allowing God to guide me; I analyze with careful thought, and conclude with what the evidence from the Word indicates. (Sometimes there is only inconclusiveness.)
I also have a message board, examining-doctrines, and a website by the same name (examining-doctrines.com) where I write some of the studies I make.
