biting me and amanda were having arguement, when we have melody and madeline together(or melody alone actually), when we stick a finger in there to get melody, he bites(not a soft nibble, the hardest bite he has probably, he has drawn blood from both of us) she says its not normal and i say it is normal...what do you think and what can we do to stop it other than the bitter apple stuff? please reply soon and sorry for posting so much (wish this board was more active) |

This is a pretty active board buts its mostly for teil and budgie owners. I dont own a lovie yet (getting a baby in March) but they are biters and they do bite hard I'm told. you should read down some posts on here to see how others have stopped thier lovies from biting. Good luck your going to need it.
Also females get more agressive and meaner than males when they want to breed or are around anything they see as a nest. What might help you out is do a search on love bird care and see what you can find. Also try stopping a lovie from biting.. you might find an answer quickly that way Christa Cute names by the way
