Roxxa,
Thank you for that link to Studio Krioni - I hadn't seen that site before. There's such a lovely, luminescent quality to the work there! I checked out the Barbie site you mentioned, but still can't figure out the navigation. So I couldn't find the dress you mentioned. I do know that Kate, who is currently our Eveningwear designer, had at one point mentioned to me her interest in doing some more club-wear type of Eveningwear.
Chennie,
Wow! You actually had more Barbie dolls than I did. I'm impressed. Well, I only had 3 actual Barbies, being more fond of Francie - she had a somewhat less, um, *intimidating* figure than her "cousin." The Barbie doll clothes of the '60's were the probably the best made of any decade. Mattel used natural fibers, real cotton, etc. (The clothes were even lined.) I just cringe when I see the doll clothes that Mattel puts out these days. Poor Barbie! A lesser woman would be bitter.
Re: Evening wear suggestions, anyone?
Really, playing Sims is not so different from Barbie Dolls!
You dress them in fabo clothes/skins, get as many accessories/objects, and let them live out thier lives. One advantage of the Sims though is that it is not dominated by the colour pink!
I've been thinking about skinning myself, and I have a dress that is my homecoming dress that I'm hoping to be able to skin, but I haven't found a single mesh that resembles it. Where do you guys get your meshes? Do you make them yourself? If anyone sees a mesh like this, please post here and let me know!!! Here's the dress!

Re: Formals...
I was a barbie-aholic, too. Everytime I'd save enough money, I would buy a barbie. Every birthday and christmas, I asked my parents for a barbie.
