The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
Argan took a step inside the cave, and held his palm out infront of him, where a small ball of light appeared that would act as a torch.
"The ruins we're to clear out should be at the end of this cave. Shouldn't be a long walk..." says Argan to Edge as a small family of Batus fly over their heads.
Re: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
"Well it can't be that much if they only sent one man to deal with it." says Argan as he walks around a spire extending from the stone ceiling.
As if from nowhere a Batus was staring him in the face. Argan raised his plam infront of his own face, and launched his ball of light into the Batus point-blank.
"Damn these things. They're like Ratus with wings...." says Argan as he conjures another ball to shed light from nowhere.
Re: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
"I've always wondered what the ruins from the past are all about funny i really don't want to be one of those scholars though."
Edge continuing the walk behind starts to ponder what will happen when they get there when a thought suddenly pops in.
"Hey Argan how far to the ruin now? It seems this cave is pretty long.. i hope the ruins look cool.."
Re: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
"I dunno this place is unexplored. Only got discovered a few days ago. We're like the second people in this place after the discoverer. I dunno what to expect really...." says Argan as he crouches down to move through a small gap in the wall, further into the cave.
Re: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
As the pair go deeper and deeper into the caves Edge continues to look around the walls and dark corners for any clues that they were close to the ruins.
As the pair go around a corner of the cave they see a sort of entrance into a darkness. Seeing as this could possibly be the ruins it seemed one thing was off.
"It's probably just me but there seems to be indication that the ruins have just been entered by something other than those discoverers!".

Re: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
Argan walks up to a large blast hole in the wall, and runs his hand down one of the edges. "It looks like something's blown it's way through this wall. It doesn't look to recent either by the looks of these edges. I doubt it was the explorers."
Argan stays silent for a few seconds then continues, "Well, either way we're going in. Let's see what we can find." Argan then crouches into the gap, and walks out on the other side.
Re: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
Nodding Edge follows. Inside is a series of corridors very much different than that of the cave outside. The corridor walls are fairly smooth and well designed for such ancient ruins.
"Well i guess we'd better stay alert now." Putting his hand to his sword Edge again is behind Argan making sure the rear is well guarded incase of a back attack from monsters.
Re: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
Argan and Edge are in a square room, with symbolic patterns on the walls, and a border that resembles flame designs. There are two exits to the room, one is the entrance they just came through, and the other is gated up, with two stone statues resembling small dragons on either side.
"Theres no wonder the explorer couldn't get any further inside, how are we ment to break through that gate?" Argan says slowly to himself.
Argan then begins to approach the gate, and inspect it carefully. The the statues began to react, the stonework began to crack very quickly, and parts seemed to crumble off, as if something was hatching. Although, Argan is completely oblivious to it at this point.
Re: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
Watching the entire thing Edge is alittle in awe. "Well i have to admit this place is amazing for how old it must be. It's probably safe to assume that from this point on we are the first ones to go deeper in huh?".
Taking a quick look around the room they were in Edge takes a mental note incase they get lost.
"Well i guess you'd better lead the way since you can generate light and all..".
Re: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
Argan suddenly hears a large crackling sound, as the outer casing of the statues crumbles off. Argan leaps back to where Edge is, "What the hell...."
Suddenly red flesh was visible under the stone shells, there was something alive in those statues trying to break out. "Uh oh, Edge we woke something up!"
A few seconds later, the shells were on the floor in pieces and two small red dragons sat on top of the pedestrials by the door.
Edge drew his sword and got ready "Well i guess it wasn't all going to be smooth sailing...Argan if you can blast the one to the left i can follow up with an uppercut sending it into the wall. It might be the best way to remove one fast."
Edge waits for Argan to make the battle tactics and stays in a counter stance.
Re: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
Argan nods, "Alright good plan." Argan begins to take off to the right to fight the right hand side dragon, but on the way he launches his 'torch' ball of light at the left target to make Edge's job a little easier.
Argan removes his shield from his backstrap and unsheathes his sword. "This ought to be a good workout..."
Re: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
As the ball Argan sent hits the creature on the left Edge runs in changing his swords sharp end from down to up. Stabbing into the chest he jumps up with the sharp end rising up with it.
The creature flies back into the wall behind it and Edge is still alittle unsure wheter the combined attacks did anything to kill it or wound it.
Awareness, the beast of the night, haunting your every step.
Just as the cracking of the stone... shifting of dust and minerals began to fall away from the ancient sentry statues - the rebirth of the fire dragons into the old temple thought abandoned for so long... another creature awoke, unseen and unheard, clinging to the ceiling. Creaking joints and muscles, long unused but in no worse shape than could be concieved... it once again moved, lived.
A chill wind could be felt just from beyond the guardian dragons, and even more disturbing... a peal of throaty laughter in the blackest corners of every hallway...
RE: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
Argan had heard to laughter, and began to wonder just what he'ld gotten himself into. But then the dragon Edge hit flew back up from behind the column it fell behind, showing only a mere scratch on it's dragon scales, their skin was certainly not easy to penetrate. The dragon rocketed towards Edge, and started slashing with it's large claws at his head as it flew. Argan's dragon, remained motionless at the moment.
Argan closed his eyes and tenced his muscles, "Here goes..." he said as he begun deep concentration. Suddenly a white aura began wrapping it's way around Argan from the feet. As it passed up his back, strange symbols began to appear on the back of Argan's mantle, and as it passed over his face, a strange but cool looking white face tattoo incripted itself on the right side of his face. Suddenly his muscle size expanded rapidly, and the flicks of hair at the front of his head begun to stand on end. His skin seemed to radiate light also. He had transformed into Acolyte form.
Re: RE: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
Seeing the dragon charge for his head he could little but roll to the side from the incoming claws.
Turning around he sees Argan now in his Acolyte form. "I have to admit it looks cool..".
Deciding now to change weapons he swaps to his Bo staff for more range attacks.
Cut scene before kick ass battle

Location: Path to Water Ruins
Party: Umi
===================
“Waaahhh!” cried Umi running through the trees, now off the road. She thought she could lose them this way.
Darting past a large tree, she quickly spun around to face her threat… they were still chasing her. Two Waspos were in hot pursuit and she was glad that she’d lost the other three and hoped that they weren’t just lagging behind, she was fast, she gave herself that.
‘No choice,’ she thought, frowning.
She was a tad confused as to why the Waspos’ were after her, she normally had a calming affect around most creatures and had once befriend a Waspos in the past. They seemed very angry about something, which suddenly reminded her of the Ratus’ before.
The first had gained on her, just a few feet away now. She readied her weapon, holding it like a baseball bat.
It dived at her stinger first.
“Sooorrrryyyyy,” yelled Umi as she swung.
Purposely side stepping and glancing it on it’s side with the Mizubutai. She suddenly had to duck as the creature span around in the air out of control for a few moments. Her eyes kept track of it well. Thankfully that’s all it took, after it bounced off a tree and then regained control, it quickly turned and fled.
It’s friend however stopped in mid-hover a glared at the girl. Umi took a step backward, her eyes fixed upon it. It didn’t move but made a louder buzzing-like noise.
Umi raised her right hand forward and mumbled; “Just a little one…”
A ball of spinning water and energy formed a few centimetres before her palm before suddenly shooting out. It sped a break-neck speed past the Waspos and into the bark of a large tree slightly behind it.
At the small explosion of liquid, which splattered all in a metre radius, the Waspos dashed to the left before quickly flying off into the depths of the forest.
Umi hugged her staff and span around with a smile at a job well done. She was still puzzled about the events leading to her destination, but carried on while singing a little song, moving back onto the path.
RE: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
Argan stared at his dragon sitting calmly on the colun in front of him. It would appear they were trying to psyche eachother out. Finally Argan made the first move. He made a massive leap towards the target in his new form, readied his sword in midair, and as he landed in front of the Centurion Dragon he he made a diagonal swipe from up the dragon's torso. Now with his enhanced strength, Argan was able to pierce the scales of the beast, but the dragon was not dead yet.
The dragon wailed in pain at the large open cut it had, and it's eyes shimmered with fury. It quickly opened it's mouth and out of it shot a fire ball, which hit Argan in the chest. Because it is cunjured magic, it didn't leave any physical wounds, but it sure did hurt.
Re: RE: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
With his attention more focused on the other Dragon, Edge attacks in a volley of ranged attacks. Each hit slamming onto the skull of the creature not to break it's armour scales but to cause it some pain.
"How do you like that huh!". The creature obviously feeling the blunt weapons hits tries to swing it's tail into Edge's side. "Oh crud!!".
Putting his Bo in the way of the tail in a vertical postion the tail lands on the Bo Pushing back Edge. His feet grinding along the ground trying to keep his footing. Releasing the guard he tries again to hurt the creature.
RE: The Mystery of the Fire Ruins
Argan grumbled under his breath after being hit by the fireball. "I've had enough of you. Take this!" Argan then charges upto the dragon, sword in hand. Argan makes a quick vertical slice with his blade, which adds to the cut already on the dragon. Argan follows up with a horizontal slash which hits a already open wound on the dragons chest, and disembowls it. Argan finishes by saying, "Cross Slash!" and he watches as the dragon wails as it loses blood. Before collapsing on the floor in a heap.
