I haven't updated in a while and I have some new news.
I've made a major change to the casting of the movie. Darya from Bone Sickness has been taken out and replaced due to a few problems.
So I figured, this movie is inspired by Asian films so I placed a casting call for Asian actresses and I found great actress named H'Nette. She is awesome and knows all the movies that have inspired Fetus. We spent our 1st business call talking about Asian films for about 30mins. Once we begin filming her character I will post some pics on the site.
The movie has also grown bigger and bigger and now has the most complex and difficult make-up effects I've ever done for a movie. Not just gore, but large scale creature effects as well.
And I just found out that suppossedly the actress in the infamous abortion tub picture on my website posted it on her Myspace site. Which lead to so many complaints that suppossedly Myspace banned the picture from her site! I found that amusing.
Fetus should wrap up filming in two more months. I will post some more pics on my site soon.

Fetus sounds like its getting even more interesting!! More monsters! An Asian american actress! I hope we can see this film by Rock and Shock/Halloween time.

I doubt there will be an official release by October. BUT...I do plan on having it finished so I can hand some copies out to people at Rock and Shock and possibly Chiller.
Once I film with the new actress I also plan on cutting together a trailer that everyone can see sometime in May. I could put one together now, but she should really be in it.
Now I have to figure out what new pics to post on the site.
I also have to say that this has become the most complicated movie I have made. My brain is getting a workout trying to keep the finale straight in my head. It's worth it though!

cool! I have a couple more effects scenes coming up that are going to be very brutal. And I will hopefully be filming with the Asian actress in April.

ironically I do have 1st degree burns all over my upper body right now. But NOT from filming. I had an accident at work Thrusday. I work in a poultry plant and I was raising a large cooking basket and the bottom broke, fell back into the cooker and 210 degree boiling broth splashed into the air and rained down all over me. It hurt, I lost my temper and trashed part of the room before going to the breakroom to pour cold water on myself
I'm fine now. It just feels like a bad sun burn. It could have been alot worse!
I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to do the fire burn tonight because I cannot get a hold of a couple people. I need a few people for safety.
Yeah Josh I did spit up the worms in the Sickness reshoots. Except by the time I did my scene the worms had been in the frig for a week and all died. So I had to use dead, rotting worms that were secreting this nasty juice! But I had to get the shots and it worked. I was afraid they were going to get me sick from possible bacteria, but I was fine.
I kept a journal once during At Dawn They Sleep but I have never gotten around to doing it again. I'm usually exhausted after filming and then hang out with my wife. I wish I thought of it for Fetus though. It's been an interesting shoot.

Damn..sorry to hear about that..getting hurt at work sucks!! I remember punching a hole through a wall boarding after I pinched my fingers between a Uboat and a packaged weight set. My boss didnt say shit to me..a month later a Ping pong table fell on my head...
The new pictures look cool(of course)..Im dying to see the new actress..I like how this little side project is gonna be the next official Morbid Visions release.
Morb are you the main actor in this?

Thanks dmattero. Yeah I play the main character. I choose to do it since in the beginning it was going to be a small experimental movie. I wasn't expecting it to turn into the effects heavy movie it's become. I'm having fun with it. Thats what counts.
I was hoping to add some more pics from Saturday night. But it was one of those shoots that is very hard to grab a still from for some reason.

I filmed with the Asian actress H'Nette today. She did an excellent job! She is one of the best actors I've worked with and was a complete professional. Plus she made my job so much easier directing and acting with her.
She helped bring together a deeper character story to Fetus. Now that her scenes are finished I will put together a trailer soon. There's not much left now. A few more gore shots and shooting will be finished.
