Re: Fetus
I'll have to grab some screen shots of her. I may ask her if I can post her resume shot she gave me because I have been getting lots of requests to see her.
As usual I was too busy to think to take some promo stills. I have a bad habit of forgetting to do that.

Re: Fetus
We filmed another gore scene last night as well as more scenes to the opening hospital sequence.
The gore scene is a slow beheading with a screaming live victim that is made far more excruciating since it is performed from the back of the neck using blunt tools that are not meant to be cutting tools. I think the way we filmed it and with the sound effects that will be used, it will be a scene that normal movie goers will turn away from.
Another victim is forced to watch this before the scene turns on him and he is painfully tortured.
This entire sequence will probably be the most brutal and cold blooded scene in the movie.
We are almost there.

Re: Fetus
Filming on Fetus has Wrapped! Today was the last day of filming and added some excellent performances from some great actors that helped add more depth and character development to the movie. It was a fun shoot and I think we pulled off a twisted little movie here.
The gore will be plentiful and gushing as well as the brutality. This movie has some of the most vicious violence I have ever filmed and there are quite a few scenes that alot of people will consider shocking. Plus we may have created a bit of horror film history with a scene that may never have been done before to the best of my knowledge. At least with nothing left to the imagination like we have done. I have to decide whether or not to use this scene as publicity or keep it secret for viewers to discover.
Now it's time to edit. I'll try to post some new pics soon. Thanks for all the feedback so far!

Re: Fetus
I'm hoping too. Unearthed Films has joined the production team and their tech guy may be doing all the sound design and sound mix as well as all the title graphics. So it may end up taking a bit longer to finish. We also have Scott Hull from Pig Destroyer on board to compose the musical score.
But October is a great month to shoot for to get a buzz going at the Cons.

I have added 5 more pictures to the Fetus page including one of the lead actress. I'll send you something soon Arc. Thanks!

Re: Fetus
I edited the pre-opening credit sequence that takes place in the hospital today and it surpassed my expectations. I am very happy with the results and I think Fetus has a chance to be a strong movie.
There is no way I will have a finished cut by October unfortunately. But having Unearthed doing the sound mix feels like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. I can simply concentrate on editing now and should be able to move quicker.
Oh yeah, I've schedualed two more nights of filming for even more gore to help tie up some shots that felt incomplete. There is going to be blood everywhere! :evil

Re: Fetus
:evil I'll try my best Josh. Right now I'm feeling the same way I did at the beginning of editing Bone Sickness. Thinking--I hope people will be able to sit through the character scenes during the 1st half hour.
But I'm happy with the way it's taking form so I'm confident veiwers will enjoy these characters. Plus my lead actress is excellent and brings so much to the movie.
And once the blood begins to flow, it's going to be relentless! :evil

Re: Fetus
I thought I would give a quick update. We finally got the insurance check from being robbed and I will finally be able to buy a new camera. Hopefully I will be able to start shooting the footage that was lost within the next 3 weeks.
I have been editing during this down time and I am very happy with the way the movie is taking form. I do think it's the best one so far. I have also thought of some new scenes that help tie some other scenes together a bit better. I will also be adding more gore and violence to the movie to take out some built up aggression I have inside that I wish I could take out on the fuckers who stole my shit. I'll just have to take it out on the characters instead.

Also some of these new ideas that will be shot will be some of the most extreme stuff I have ever done. It's to the point where I had to step back and ask others around me if the movie should be released in 2 versions. I think we are going to have to release a version with most of the gore intact, but then an extreme version that contains some scenes that include fetal violence & reproductive organ style violence that may alienate some of the Bone Sickness viewers that want to see our next movie.
I'm not talking an R rated style cut. Fuck that. I'm just talking about a few scenes that only the most hardcore fans would enjoy. The cut version will still be a gorefest.
I would be interested in hearing opinions on this since Fetus is still a monster movie, not just an extreme exploitation film.

Re: Fetus
I'd go for one version only. Plus mostly gorehounds will wanna see your film so there's no need for a "watered" down version.
