Please all I have to ask...please let there be a 19t truck class. I mean stock is just soooooo underpowered for the track. So that's my opinion just lettin you guys know. It's cool to your really packin in some electric action this winter.

Are you going to allow Lipos for Mod 4WD? I asked Al and he said whatever you decide.

Hi,

A decision was made to not allow lipo batteries at all.

Any questions you have Bernie will be happy to answer them.

Thanks

Thats too bad. Is that going to be the same ruling for the Chitown Shootout?

Sorry but we don't allow lipo's for our races. No lipo's at the Chi-town

Bubba,

Do you allow LiPos at your normal races because I was coming tomorrow under the impression that they were allowed. Also, the RcPro rules now allow them, which sometimes is at LHR. What's the full scoop?

Best,
Bob

I just called the shop to verify by phone before I get ready to come out tomorrow, and indeed there are no LiPos in regular races, according to that call. Totally threw me off. I was hoping to race there, and I am kind of ticked. Sorry.

We run by roar rules and have for years. When roar makes lipo's legal we will also. proseries rules will be used for the pro series only. Sorry.

There are some that already run lipo... I dont think its a performance advantage right now. Very convenient though.

I have to respect the track. I was just so close to coming there without knowing, it would have been a bummer bringing the kid along and 4 hours of commuting.

LiPo batteries
yah rules against lipos are dumb...lets see what makes more sense go buy ATLEAST 4 decent NiMh packs at we will say a resonable $60 a piece plus a charger we will say $60 and then a discharger we will say $30 then a storage container we will say $15 on that then LUG all that crap to the track take up more space and spend a boat load of time charging and discharging, or buy 1 lipo for $110 a good lipo charger for $80-100 and that its, cheaper more run time less crap to carry to the track...if weights the issue add lead.....not allowing lipos are driving racers away...for your big races sure enforce your rules but weekly you should allow them

Re: LiPo batteries
I really like the LHR track and folks, but today I am going to visit the rcPerformance track in Madison instead. I'm not enacting any form of retribution against LHR so much as offering a free market study data point. Afer all, if I didn't say this, then you would just say "you should have said something."

Re: LiPo batteries
yeah, i agree that weight is definitely not an issue with lipo. In most cases, you will want to add weight back in, it makes the car/truck just handle better.

Re: LiPo batteries
Dang, I would have run lead-acid batteries if I had known Ken would be there.
Just FYI, I had that 2100mah pack that I started with, and I think I ruined it (as many expected). The CellPro charger goes into Safety-charge, which means it detects damage. So a 4000 is on the way. Now I know.
