Re: It's Christmas Time! :D
The best thing about the season...

Is my mom's gone to Australia!
HAHAHAHH!
Which means... 3 months without her!
Ahh.. what better christmas present can you get... other than a new computer and a PS2? I mean really...
I get those too :p Though I gotta pay for the PS2, but... mwah ha ha...

Anyway... rambling aside, I've always liked the winter season, purely because of snow ^-^

Oh, and Xeero, Do NOT listen to what women say about other women.
They're usually trying to trick you in some way *narrows his eyes at Divina*
Don't do anything special, kay? Just like.. be yourself. And if you get the feeling that she likes you as well, then start spending more and more time with her, then ask her out to a movie or dinner or something.

Usually, this isn't the way I go about things... a girl thinks in her mind "Wow, Dave looks good" and then hangs off me for no conceivable reason and flirts with me out of her mind...

Re: It's Christmas Time! :D
First of all, I never meant to make it seem like you shouldn't be yourself... You definitely should... above all else, I'm just saying, in addition to, girls definitely like a bit of chivalry in a guy (i.e. opening doors, offering his arm, etc.. etc..) but yes, you definitely should be yourself. *sticks tongue out at Agent Number One* Also, when you find a great girl you'd like to date, don't rush things... be patient. Many times guys like to rush things, and it puts a lot of pressure on girls (believe it or not!) and also can make them scared. Anyway. So, patience is good, and just be sweet to them (reminds all, not overly, it will appear false or that you want something else *ahem*) and YES! BE YOURSELF! :) I'm sorry that I had left that out originally, but I guess it was just naturally assumed. Don't become something you're not... but it's okay to enhance yourself by adding a bit of charm for that girl that makes you daydream. ;)

They'll either like you, or not like you. And a first impression isn't all that lasting. If you seem like a retard at first, time will show that you're not quite as stupid as you look. :p
Ehh... I think we're actually just giving advice to anyone now...

I'm gonna agree with TDC on this one. A lot of guys are more withdrawn, quieter and generally shyer[shier?]. So Divina *wink* Take your time with some guys, eh. :p

One final thing for this post...
If you get tossed into the mud, get back up, dust yourself off, and either try again on the same person, or try with someone else. Never give up on your heart ^-^

Re: It's Christmas Time! :D
Yay for you TDC!!! :) I really hope it does, and I want to give you the biggest congratulations! :D BTW, TDC, I gotta tell you what happened to me tonight... Never a boring night in the life of a Diva. ;) Plus, I also had my music theatre juries today, so if you're interested, I'll tell you how those went as well. And today, I took a five hour nap! Oh such sweet bliss is sleep! :D So, in general, I want to talk to you! :) If dat's okay... ;) Anyway... Going to bed, got church in the morning, and as always recently, I'm exhausted.

Also, I am loving everyone's advice inputs, I'm so excited that I could start a conversation on this. I enjoy hearing the guy's perspective on dating and girls and what not. I would really like to try and understand it all a bit better from both points of views. So any comments, rants, or blissful excitement you want to share with me is OKAY! :) I'd love to hear it!

Re: It's Christmas Time! :D
:eek I am not putting up any sort of trap! My goodness... I don't need to. I know of at least three guys on campus that like me... so :P I don't need to make any traps. I am an honest good girl... I'm not so evil to make any traps. At least not recently. ;) Just kidding. Yeah, about having the gf over... Don't fret sir... I live on my own (well in college, in a housing residence) so I can have guys over whenever I want, but alas, I can't because I have no bf. So you're not alone in that boat. The right girl will come along when it is right. Just ask TDC. ;) Right TDC? *smiles with beaucoup happiness* J'ai heureux pour TDC. <-- umm.. please don't check my french. ;) hehe... I doubt it is grammatically correct. You can check for translation, just don't correct my grammar. ;) It's been awhile since I've taken french... and I've nearly forgotten what I learned in France and Switzerland. However, I will never forget what drunk is in French! ;) LOL... No, I was not... the french guy hitting on me was though, I'm sure. Anyway... That's a whole other tangent. :D Anyway... I'm popular tonight... so Au revoir!

Ooooookay
You've lost me on that one, Divina.
You had me, right up until you said "Just ask TDC".
For what I did understand...

Hey, wanna come visit Canada? ;)
Got a free room. And a not so free room, if you like...
Kidding.. [kinda].
But yeah, it's cool though. Mom's been gone for the day, and I feel... so good! My uncle and I are gettin' along amazingly well, and I'm staying up nice and late.
No mom!
YAY!
YAYYYYYYYYYYY!
Now.. step 1.
Get a job.
Step 2.
Get a girlfriend.
Step 3.
Crash my mom's plane remotely from the basement.
Step 4.
Get a snack...

Hmm...
I'll make step 4 into steps....1-6000.. and then the other ones can go after that.

Re: It's Christmas Time! :D
Very funny Agent Number One... ;) But, about the "Ask TDC." You will just have to ask him, but if he leaves ya hanging, I'll have to get permission from him to tell you. And about visiting Canada.... how old are you??? LOL... I'm 19 (okay, well in a month anyway.) and I'm not big on dating anyone younger than me. (that has nothing to do with you, just a personal preference) I have only dated one guy younger than I, and trust me, he was quite an exception. He became the best boyfriend I have ever had. He was so chivalrous and sweet and complimentary. But anyway, I'm sure no one cares to know about my ex-bf. But back to my point... the only way I'd go to Canada is if you guys had an incredible music school for opera. Because I'm at an incredible one right now, here in Kansas. Preparing for my career is first priority. But to your list of things to do... Getting a job is good, just don't let it interfere with the things you ultimately want to do. You'll regret it in the end. As for Step 2, don't dwell on trying to find a girlfriend. I promise that it is true that if you don't go searching, it will come to you. Just don't think about it too much, or dwell on it. Everytime I try and find a boyfriend, I have no luck, and then I think that there must be something wrong with me, that I am not beautiful, that I'm not an interesting person, and that is not healthy to downgrade yourself all the time. Second, if you just relax and enjoy life and not think about whether or not you have a gf/bf or not, then just about every time you'll hear about someone or a few people who are interested in you... You just gotta let it come to you. And to show you an example of that. At the beginning of December I was feeling like such a loser and thinking there were so many things wrong with me because I didn't have a boyfriend, and everytime I got interested in someone and got any kind of interest back from them, I ended up losing them or their interest in a relationship with them... So I thought it was me. Then, finally (and with the help from a few friends), I came to realize that there is nothing wrong with me. I am a great person with a beautiful soul (or so I'm told) who is very attractive, has an interesting and fun personality, and many beautiful talents. So, I occupied myself with my friends and getting ready for finals, and just being myself ;) (see, I told you that I thought it was important to be yourself). Then at a Christmas party for the Performing Arts students last weekend, this Theatre major began flirting with me, and made it pretty obvious of his interest. Am I wrong that when a guy gives a 30-40 minute back massage and then plays with her hair for another 15-30 minutes that is interest? Anyway.. then one of my friends told me about how his friend and himself also has had an interest for me for awhile. I think the point is that if you just enjoy life as carefree as possible (at least carefree from having a gf/bf...) then people will see how beautiful you are, and interests will spark. So, don't care about whether you have a gf. You don't need it. It would be nice, I know, but when the time is right, she will come along.
Now, step 3... Be real, you don't want to crash your mom's plane, that's horrible to wish. Maybe I can't understand because I have a great relationship with my parents, but you love your mom and she loves you, and once you get past your differences and try to understand where the two of you are coming from, then I think you will grow closer to your mom. I mean, I can't promise, because I don't know either of you, but just be patient with your mom and respect her. All will be okay.. and for Step 4... FOOD IS SOOO GOOD! :D Anyway... I have a voice lesson in a bit, and so I must bid you adieu. Hope any of that helps.

Re: It's Christmas Time! :D
God, TDC... that plan is so weird it might just work!
Thanks man! ^-^

Ow...
My teeth hurt[I tried to post this yesterday, but I accidentally got my computer restarted by my idiot cat...].. well not my teeth, because they're not there. My jaw.
I got my wisdom teeth out yesterday, and while the drugs were a lot of fun, the pain isn't.
The painkillers are too. ^-^
My dentist was insinuating that I took drugs, because he said "It's the best high you'll ever get"... bastard was right, but still, I mean, you don't just SAY things like that.

I have lots of eggnog for some reason, this early into December... Someone must've brought it over while I was passed out on the couch until the drugs wore off.

Oh well.

So wait... Divina...
If a guy younger than you was your best boyfriend ever, why did you break up with him, may I ask? Er... if it's like, something really not cool, don't worry I won't pry :p
Hm... I only dated one girl younger than me, and that didn't work out too well. I prefer older women, for they actually have maturity.
I kind of like this other girl, but... well she thinks I'm a twit, which is probably true, so I laid off on that one.
Oh well ^-^

I have a question, actually...
What do you guys(all of you) think of long distance relationships and the like? Be they internet based, phone or travel based?

Hmm... seeing as how my first potencial relationship may be starting over this break... and it will be long distance if it happens, I've been so far relying on IM's and e-mail, though I think phone is good too. I dunno, you just kinda have to see... and wish me luck ^_^

Re: It's Christmas Time! :D
Hey guys! :) I'm so excited! I got a B+ on my Music Theatre Jury that I thought didn't go so well. :) So Yay! I win! ;) Anyway... back to the topic. Just had to jump for joy there for a second *jumps for joy*... hehehe.. anyway. Yeah... Agent Number One! Hello! I said not to look for one! Do I get any thanks? eh... I don't really care, as long as I helped out some. That way all that typing didn't go to waste... and as for my ex-bf... the younger one I told you about. We broke up due to distance. He went to California to go to a very elite (and very expensive!) theatre school he was accepted to, and I stayed in Kansas for my Bachelors. And we'd only been dating for one month that consisted of e-mails, phone calls, and 5 dates... so we didn't want to hurt each other with a long distance relationship of that degree. So, we are still very good friends, and we still have feelings for each other, but unfortunately nothing can come of them... But if you guys want you can send me checks so I go see him in California over spring break! ;) hehe... JK... I couldn't take your money... anyway... So that's why... also, don't feel ashamed to ask me any questions of any personal degree. I'm a very open and honest person, and if there is a question I'm uncomfortable to talk about then I'll let you know (nicely, I promise!) :D So, yeah... I wrote my best friend who goes to BYU-Idaho, and asked her about the weather there, because here in Kansas it's been very warm... I didn't even wear a coat today! Just a sweater (well, besides other obvious clothing items ;) ) anyway, so I got a response from my friend and she told me that in Idaho there is at least 2 feet of snow and it snows 4 times a week, and it hasn't been over freezing all month! I was already jealous of her because of her mountainous surroundings ( I love mountains!!!), but now because where she is it feels like the Christmas season, and it feels like March or October here... IT'S NOT FAIR!!! ;) oh well, can't complain about nice weather too much...
~La Divina -wishes there was a little snow with NO ICE!!!

Can't really say too much for long-distance relationships, as the only one I've had was only two hours apart, and we could both drive, so we saw each other ever 3-4 weeks. It was tough, but not impossible. All the same, I did end up breaking up with her over the phone... So I'm not a very good one to ask. Right now my girlfriend lives about 20 minutes away. And I find it hard when I have to go for a whole day without seeing her. *shrug*

Anyway, good luck to both of you. :)

BTW, Divina, you asked at a bad time. It's gonna ice tonight.

Re: It's Christmas Time! :D
Hey everyone! Well, I surprised my parents last night by coming home (the 13th) and they weren't expecting me until the 18th! So that was fun, but I had to come back to school today (the 14th)... but the surprise was fun while it lasted. Anyway. TDC, where you including me in the statement "Good luck to both of you?" Because, Josh and I know that there is no chance for a relationship and we're not even going to try. And also right now, I'm not looking for a relationship (see previous post by me), I don't need one, and to me, right now, it would only be a leisure. So, if something comes up then great! If not, I'll survive and still be happy. :) Well, I can't talk long, perhaps I'll put up another post when I get back from work, but that's where I'm headed now... :( So, anyway... I hope everything is going well for everyone! :) And TDC... no ice here! :) I hate ice... I only want a bit of snow... to enhance the romantic mood of the season (I'm sure you wouldn't mind that too much either TDC ;) ) Well, gotta get to work!

Re: It's Christmas Time! :D
Well, today I went to the mall to get my roommate a Christmas present, and besides the masses of people (I'm a flexible person... so I can deal...) me and my friend got an upfront parking spot! Yay for good timing! ;) And we didn't kill anyone in the process... then while I was getting a box of Christmas cards, the lady who should've been in front of me let me go ahead of her so that I could stay with my friend. Now, that's the Christmas spirit. I challenge every person who reads this to perform at least one random act of kindness to someone (especially if they make you angry) this season. I promise it will brighten someone's day. That simple act of kindness from that stranger really stuck with me emotionally, and I gained tons of respect for her. So, show your spirit and kind-heartedness (NO EXCUSES! ;) ) and make someone's day with a random act of kindness.
Also, on another note, you know what really irks me. When you know someone is mad at you or hates you or something, and won't tell you what the problem is. They just continue acting like you're either non-existent or the dumbest ass on the face of the planet. That really pisses me off. So, my little lesson out of this, is to please tell someone if they are doing something that bothers you or whatever. Don't make them live in mystery. Don't beat around the bush either. Instead, either work things out with them, or just tell them whatever problem you have. Otherwise the negative energy you send out will make that person drained of their spirits. Does that make any sense? I hope so... because that's happening with me. I could be having the best day, and even though I try not to let it bother me, their negative energy engulfs me and drains my energy. Then I'm left depressed and exhausted and wishing for a friend. I'm sorry... perhaps I'm too open... I don't know why I'm telling all of you this... umm...goodnight everyone. Remember, random acts of kindness... uh... goodnight...
~La Divina -swallows back tears...
