Re: Harakel: Cain's Tavern cont.
As much as Ryoty would have thought otherwise, Ms. Meggu was as easy to read as a book. Meg was angry at her for discovering her secret. And it became painfully obvious as the moments passed that she wasn't going to get the truth out of her. It didn't matter. She had already confirmed what Ryoty suspected. She looked down and bagan arranging things on her desk. "We're done here."

"We're done here."

Some how the tone of thos words confirmed Megumi's fears. She knew...but she did not flaunt the information. "What ever truth you think you've uncovered here, Captain, I would appreciate you not saying anything." her voice was low, defeated. "To many have suffered at just the suspicion of what you suggest."

Ryoty finished arranging things on her desk and folded her hands in front of her. "Should I even ask? No wait, I'd rather you didn't. Answer that I mean. Aren't you nervous though? I'm a pirate. I could lock you up in the brig and torture you for the rest of your days just so I could ring fairy tears out of you - veritably my own golden goose so to speak." She said all this speaking as if she were relating some fond memory.

An crooked smile found it's way to Megumi's face. "I'm not just nervous, I'm half terrified...but not of you, not yet anyway. We made a blood promise that neither of us can go back on..." she pulled the red gem charm from under her shirt, displaying it as a reminder. "By the time that promise is fufilled, I will be surrounded by my own kind. But your crew, if this suspicion of yours was to get out to them...that terrifies me. It should frighten you too...remember, should anything happen to me before your half of the deal has been fufilled...well...worse situations are hard to imagine."

Ryoty considered this a moment. "Remind me what would happen if our bargain is broken?"

Megumi just smiled. "Well, The last person to break a bargain with a fey found himself part of the mountain side. Horrible bad luck, most called it. But I don't believe we have to worry about that. You seem to have a strong sense of self preservation...for a human."

"Yes, I do don't I?" she laughed. "I just wish you would have told me; I shouldn't have had to find out this way Ms. Meggu. I mean, this," she held up the fairy tear, "is reason enough to cahse someone across the great sea and kill without conscionce for. People will go so far for one fairy tear and futher for a golden goose, so to speak."

Megumi noded. "I know. That is why I could not tell you. True, the danger to you for carrying me is great. But for you the end would come quick. For me..." she shrugged, "...well, it might vary well never. I have no interest in an eternity of pain, Captain. I think you can understand why I felt the deciet was nessessary."

"Honestly, no. So how are you feeling? Have you gotten your sea legs yet?"

Megumi laughed at that one. "To be honest, I don't think I ever will, Captain. I was made for the sky, not the sea. But that Doctor of yours showed me a trick or two. I'll survive." She laughed again. Then a feeling of impending doom washed over her and her laughter stopped. She frowned. "Captain...Do you know if the dragon and your lookout returned yet?"

"Ryoty blinked at her and slightly cocked her head for a moment. "Dragon and the lookout? What's he done to my Willie?" she demanded, standing up and walking around her desk without waiting for an answer. She was on the deck in a matter of seconds, frowning as she searched the sky for the wayward dragon.
"Get'em off! Get'em off! I can't feel mah hand!" Ryoty turned toward the sounds and found Willie - or rather his jaw - firmly clamped onto a sailor's hand. She strode over.
"Willie! Baaad Willie! Release!"
Willie obediantly released the sailors hand and cowered back. A sudden thought struck Ryoty; the sailors wee afraid of Willie, who was afraid of Ryoty. Damn, she was a badass! she thought as her head swelled generously with pride. But back to the matter at hand. "Willie? Did you do anything with the Dragon?"
Willie immidiately stopped cowering and stuck his arms out, running around and flapping his wings - hands, she corrected herself. Ryoty watched him somewhat comically, eyes blank and mouth agape.
"Willie? Crow's nest!" she barked, bringing him to a halt, and pointed up. He scaled the mast as easily as a monkey. Next she scanned the deck. What was that dragon wizard's name? Ah, who cares? "Dragon!"

Megumi followed her on deck and stared out ahead of them at the water. Somthing just didn't feel right.

Shadrak's head popped up at Ryoty's call of "DRAGON!". He'd been scaling down the side of the ship and doing something around where the ship's name had been (btw what IS the ship called? 0.o). He now popped his head up and jumped up on deck, wiping his hands off on his clothes. "Yo?" he said, strolling up right behind Ryoty from out of nowhere.

ooc: now how shall he tell her that the Black Legion has a fleet out there looking for her? XD

Ryoty gave a small start and slowly turned toward Shadrak. She must admit she was a little startled to find Shadrak's voice instead of Damon's coming out of nowhere. Huh, must be the whole magic thing, anyway- "What are you doing back donw here instead ofwatching out up there?" she asked, pointing up.

"Perhaps he's come to report..." Megumi stated, still staring out over the water.

"Well then by all means Dragon, report," she ordered. Men were still trying, and unsuccessfully I might add, to pry Willie's teeth off the poor sailors' hand.

Shadrak rubbed his head, "Well... uhb... ASK WILLIE!" he crowed delightedly and zipped up to the crow's nest.

....After being dragged down from the crow's nest by Ryoty's baleful gaze he slid back down, and standing to attention in front of her sighed. "The Black Legion has a fleet out for this ship. I took the liberty of a small magic to make the name of your ship Gorking Gibbets, but that won't hold out to close scrutiny. -_-"

Ryoty stared at him awhile longer.
"Gorking Gibblets?" she asked finally. "Gorking Gibblets? You named ny ship..." she rubbed the wooden railing affectionately, "my baby... Gorking Gibblets..." She gave the displeasure in her voice a moment to sink in before continuing. "I got a better idea," she said, her displeasure no longer existant in her demeanor. "Why don't you just make it disappear? Make it invisible to the fleet," she suggested.

Shadrak sighed, "Thought about it, won't work. For one thing," he held up one finger, "they have mages that would see the magical distorting the ship would make if I cloaked the whole thing, Secondly," he raised a second finger, "Even I can't hold up a cloaking shield that long. The best that can be done is to hide your ship in plain site..." he looked strangely at his fingers that were currently making a peace sign, then shrugged, dropping his hands to his sides, "Unless you've a better idea?"
