Re: The Killing Game (continued)
Maverick all at once looked curious and uneasy, ready to dive behind a piller again at a moments given notice. "What did you have in mind?" he said suspiciously.

Ack! "Ah no, thanks, that all right." He stared at Shadrak uneasily. He wouldn't. He couldn't. He could. He wouldn't. Would he? He wanted to be confident, but some how he couldn't be. He wasn't all to certain his friend would leave him in his natural form, and that thought chilled his blood.

Shadrak shrugged *flip!* and grinned obliviously. "So," Shadrak said, flipping to a totally different track, "What's on the menu-... erm, I mean agenda of things to do tomorrow?" He tried to look innocent, but that's kinda hard when your fangs are getting a bit long... ^-^

Maverick stared, dumbfounded, as the fangs grew continually longer. "...Ah, huh? Oh, ah...well we should...probably... go to the nearest town or village, see what's happening in the world." He kept getting distracted by the fangs. "What...why are your fangs growing longer?"

ooc: What are you planning?:(

Shadrak grinned and bit into a large piece of roasted fishy, "All the better to eat you with, my dear," He crooned to the fish.
"Sounds good," he said, his fangs retracting, "So, with our luck, we'll prollly find.....ruins? ...death? ...both? Wanna make a bet on one?" he shrugged and laughed. ^-^

Maverick looked at Shadrak strangely. "Ah, okay Shadrak. You're beginning to creep me out." He turned his head, searching the horizon for some sign of habitation. "Although with our luck, I see what you mean," he said slowly. He sighed. "We should probably go." A sudden idea struck him. "Hey Shadrak, how about we put those wings of yours to use?"

Shadrak stuck out his tongue, "Creep people out is what I do!" he announced proudly.
He looked at Maverick oddly, "Use? my wings to use? howso?"

Maverick grinned at him. "Turn drag and fly around; see if you can spot any signs of habitation. Cities, villages--" A sound errupted from behind them; a sound like a huge treetrunk falling followed by another one, almost like giant footsteps. "-- giant footsteps. Anything you see really would be helpful."

ooc: Things like this come back to bite you in the ass! :evil :hat

Re: The Killing Game (continued)
Maverick froze, staring at Shadrak for a moment, then spun around. One hundred feet away, shaped in the ground was a set of giant footprints. The crunching sound had stopped, but of the giant there was no sign. "What...?" He spun around, looking for the giant. Where had it gone? "Shadrak, where'd it go?!"

ooc: Shadrak can see the giant because he's a dragon. Maverick, unfortunately, is human. Therefore, he cannot see it. You see, all the mythical creatures can see it because they're magical, but humans it seems absolutely refuse to see it so they don't. They've fooled themselves into being blinded to these creatrures that were sealed up so long ago. And now they're doomed. Remember that globe? You broke it. It was a seal. It kept the giants and monsters locked up. You freed them. Stupid-Head.:p :hat :p

Re: The Killing Game (continued)
"What?! Where is it?!" He spun about, on his feet now and his sword out. Some of the shrubbery suddenly wa storn from it's roots by an invisible force and flung into the air. But then something happened; it slowed in midair, but didn't fall. Instead, it held there for a breath and then continued it's descent to the ground and came to a stop right next to another giant footstep that seemed o magically appear in the soft earth. The ground shook with the vibrations of the new impression and Maverick stumbled and fell. A sudden roaring filled the air, but Maverick couldn't locate it's source. What was that? It was---a belch? "Wherei s it? I can't--I can't see it." Maverick tuend back to the happily grinning Shardak. "Okay pyro, go have fun!"

bic:
Shadrak was still ignoring Maverick as the firegiant belched a cloud of sulphiric gas, "OOO! ACIDY BURNY FIREGIANT!" He squealed, uber-happy now, and quite content to watch as it ravaged...stuff.

Re: The Killing Game (continued)
ooc: Oooo shut up. Are you gonna go drag on the giant and save the day or not?

bic: The acid sprayed down in a gigantic cloud of gas on the ruins. But instead of burning them to crisps, it stoped, just above them forming a protective bubble of sorts around the circle of stones. "What in the name of the Powers?" Maverick muttered. The giant's huge eyes spotted them far below and howled in rage. Dragons. He hated Dragons. He took another step, stomping this time trying to make them lose their balence. Well, he succeeded; for Maverick anyway. The ground shook so hard Maverick's feet flew out from under him and the ruby crystals went flying. In mid air Maverick stared at it and saw something. Something huge; something with only a whisp of hair on it's huge balding head and one eye. The air was knocked from him as he hit the ground hard. His vision blurred and he lost his senses for a moment, but quickly regained them. He forced himself to suck in air, trying to make himself breath before he passed out. By now, the giant had taken to stomping on the protective shield, but for some reason it couldn't penetrate it. Maverick crawled over to the crystal and put it up toward the sky, staring at it, or, it seemed, through it. A giant! There was a giant! Fire licked the sides of it's mouth and nose as it exhaled in another great roar, the shrubbery around the ruins catching fire. Okay, think. What were they going to do? Then he grinned. The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

Re: The Killing Game (continued)
Shadrak was knocked out of his happy reverie when Maverick tumbled into him and klonked his head on Shadrak's head, which just so happens to have the same density of a dragon's head, and therefore is easily mistaken for rock when things collide with it. Shadrak didn't notice that, however he did notice Maverick falling on him, whereupon he rolled out from under him and stood up, finally realizing that the giant was rather antisocial. "Well well well, had problems growing up didja?" he asked of the roaring giant as he non-chalantly strode up to him, "Well, me ma, she beat us'ns young'ns all day long, what, eh!" Shadrak's face was empty of guile, but looked too innocent nonetheless. Shadrak looked over to where Maverick was recovering, "Firefireboomywoom?" he asked, all innocently, grinning evilly.

ooc: wheee ^-^

Maverick lay, dazed and staring up into the sky on his back. He blinked and groaned as his brain snapped back into real time and glanced at Shadrak, apparently not in his right mind and fully aware of his sourroundings because he responded with, "Auw, what? Ah sure Shadrak, go ahead." He tried to stand up but just ended up falling back, relapsing into a daze as he lay groaning and holding his head.

Maverick groaned and opened his eyes, the light dazzling him for a moment. Behind him he could hear Shadrak laugh insanely and sat up. All around the ruins, giant foot prints appeared, the air whistling as the giant swatted at Shadrak, now a dragon. He crawled over and grabbed the crystal, held it up to the sky and watched the battle take place. The giant raised a great knarled hand, clawing the air for Shadrak.

Re: The Killing Game (continued)
Shadrak was too swift for the giant and swept in coiling around the giant, snake-like, and lunging time and again with his razor-blade teeth, tearing great gouges out of the the giant. It was bleeing copious amounts of blood all over the place, Shadrak was ecstatic, he raised his head a few degrees and reared back a bit. He let loose a torrent of napalm at the giant's head. The giant keeled over, dead, roasted and bleeding. There was a maniac gleam in Shadrak's great dragon eyes, his eyes were red-misted and looked almost as though they too could start bleeding any moment, so red were they. Then he morphed back to human, the sanity returned to his eyes. He turned around and puked in a bush.
