“Thanks,” she said, looking at the warm meat on her plate, then back up at Logan, finally meeting his eyes again. She smiled again, watching him cut into the steak with undiminished enthusiasm. At his gesture at Karika and his explanation for the other steak’s disappearance, she chuckled softly. “It’s probably for the best. If it had still been there when I came though the kitchen, it would either have been cold from being off the grill or way overcooked from being left on. Since you did miss out on it, though,” she began as she eased the flask from her pocket and placed it on the table in front of him, “here is something to soothe the disappointment.”

Waiting for Logan to take the flask, Jean carved a bite-sized portion from her own steak and lifted it to her lips. “This is good, but I don’t think I can possible eat the whole thing. Split it with me?”

Since you did miss out on it, though,” she began as she eased the flask from her pocket and placed it on the table in front of him, “here is something to soothe the disappointment.”

As he leaned forward toward the fork he stopped in motion as she placed the flask on the table, staring at it. Then he raised his eyes to hers, took the bite from the fork and gave her a conspiratorial grin. Reaching out, he scooped the flask into his hand and looked at it as if it were an old friend he hadn't seen in a long time.

Jean carved a bite-sized portion from her own steak and lifted it to her lips. “This is good, but I don’t think I can possible eat the whole thing. Split it with me?”

"Sure," he answered as he opened the flask. Giving it a brief sniff to identify the contents, he took a long swig from it then tucked it between his legs, out of sight of the kids. "Thanks, I needed that.... tastes great if nothin' else." Then he returned to finishing his meal, talking quietly with the beautiful redhead. Logan enjoyed this time with her, but part of him was unsure as to why she was being so attentive, usually people gave him wide berth or simply pretended he wasn't present.

Who: LaTrina, her mother
Where: Patio
With: Jean and Logan

Mrs. Adams had frowned at the way the woman's, Emma though she knew not who she really was', attitude. She wanted to say something more to that woman about her manners but decided not to. Instead she turned to the red head and smiled,

"Thank you."

LaTrina stared at Logan for what seemed like hours but was only seconds. She stood close to her mother as if Logan would bite.

Following Jean, Mrs. Adams wondered about this young woman. Was she like the others here or was she just a teacher or something? The thought that leaving her daughter among these strangers was daunting but she may have no choice. LaTrina had powers that could help others, no matter who they were but there were those out in the world who would hate her because of them.

She had to make some kind of provision to protect her daughter. And hopefully, she would be able to see LaTrina as often as she liked.

OOC: Sorry for not posting. Got busy and nearly forgot this board. You know how it is?

ADMIN EDIT: We were nearly forgotten about. *Cries softly* Oh, that just isn't good at all. LOL. Kidding. No problem, Twainia.

Also, if you wish to talk to Xavier, please move your girls to THIS thread. Thankies.

Re: Taken Under His Wing

Jean swallowed the last bite of her steak and sat back with a satisfied smile. Looking to her dinner companion, she commented lightly, “That was excellent. Fine food, good company, a lovely day, if somewhat warm. What more could a girl ask?”

Logan appeared less agitated, but Jean didn’t fool herself that the man was in any way relaxed. If he were to return to his bed now, his nightmares, in all likelihood, would return as soon as he entered REM state. Besides, she wasn’t fond of the idea of him going straight to bed right after a relatively heavy meal. Lowering her voice slightly, she leaned closer as if instigating a conspiracy and whispered, “Do you think the students would be up to inventing some creative rumors about us if we took an after-dinner stroll along the lake shore and through the woods?” Waggling her eyebrows comically, she continued, “Want to put it to the test?”

Logan gave a small smile at the compliment. He certainly didn't feel like "good company", but perhaps she knew he wasn't feeling quite himself and was making exceptions for that. Taking the last bite from the half she'd shared with him, he placed his silverware on the plate and pushed it slightly away from him, indicating to her that he too was done.

Lowering her voice slightly, [Jean] leaned closer as if instigating a conspiracy and whispered, “Do you think the students would be up to inventing some creative rumors about us if we took an after-dinner stroll along the lake shore and through the woods?” Waggling her eyebrows comically, she continued, “Want to put it to the test?”

He chuckled softly, then glanced around the patio area. "Ya' mean ya' don't think they've already started?" he mentioned jokingly. "I mean, we are sitting off the beaten path here, alone, for the most part." The last he added dryly with a glance to the chair Emma recently vacated. Raising his eyes to Jean, a grin still set in his tired features, "I love puttin' people to the test. A walk sounds great," he said, standing up. Pushing in his chair, he turned to her and offered his hand. "Shall we?"

Re: Taken Under His Wing
Who: Karina, Scarlet Witch
Where: Patio

Scarlet Witch:

Feeling a bit clausterphobic, Wanda left the patio. There were just too many people around and she wasn't up to making niceities with them. So she sauntered off, sort of behind Emma but making her own way.

Looking around the inside wasn't much fun either. Things seemed smaller after the crowd from the patio. So, Wanda headed up to her room, thinking on what had happened to her lately.

Karina:

Karina remained where she was, taking in the people and the sights. She especially loved the smells of flowers growing. It gave her a peaceful feeling.

Removing a seed from her pocket, she handled it carefully, letting loose a little bit of power so that it bloosomed just a bit. Enough for her to see that it was a red rose before tucking the little seedling back into the seed and pocketing it once again.

Karina's glance happened to fall on Mez and wondered about him. Was he approachable? And should she? She remained where she was, watching Mez.

Chamber was seated, seemingly at ease 'watching' the others. He didn't really have a care in the world especially now that all was in a state of peacefulness...up to a point. He didn't want to think about what happened on the Jonah or what he did to Sabertooth. After all, what he did, he deserved every blast Chamber gave him.

Tucking the scarf more fully hiding his ruined mouth from view, he watched the group with that interested yet polite way.

Things were just too good to be true.

Jean watched with pleasure as a small smile curved Logan’s lips. He had certainly seemed to enjoy his meal and, she hoped, her company as well. It had been that little bit of a smile that had encouraged her to ask if he would like to walk with her, tossing in the light-hearted teasing regarding the reaction of the students as added incentive.

"Ya' mean ya' don't think they've already started?" he mentioned jokingly. "I mean, we are sitting off the beaten path here, alone, for the most part."

Laughing softly, Jean nodded. At times it seemed to her that the only thing more super-powered than the residents of Charles Xavier’s mansion was the speed with which rumors sprang into existence and made the circuit of said residents. By now, some creative mind inside the school had formed the rumor of Wolverine carrying on a torrid affair with both Jean and Emma, simultaneously, with each woman vying for the man’s attention and unwilling to leave the other alone with him for more than a minute.

"I love puttin' people to the test. A walk sounds great," he said, standing up. Pushing in his chair, he turned to her and offered his hand. "Shall we?"

“That, Logan, is something we have in common,” she responded with a delighted chuckle as she placed her hand in his and rose to stand beside him. With a small wrinkle of her brow in concentration, she mentally gathered the remains of their dinner, dishes, utensils and all, and sent them in a stately line through the air toward the kitchen. Opening the door just in time to admit them, she lowered them carefully to the side of the sink. “I will take care of the rest of the cleanup when we return,” Jean said with a smirk, her eyes sparkling in fun as she held onto Logan’s hand and stepped in the direction of the walking path leading to the lake.

“I will take care of the rest of the cleanup when we return,” Jean said with a smirk, her eyes sparkling in fun as she held onto Logan’s hand and stepped in the direction of the walking path leading to the lake.

As Jean stood up, Logan took a half step back and tried to relinquish the hold he had on her hand now that she was safely on her feet. As he attempted to let go though, Jean squeezed his hand a bit tighter and held on, indicating to him that she wanted to walk hand-in-hand.

Logan looked down at their hands, opening his fingers. Her fingers remained wrapped around his hand. He looked up at her, then threw a glance over his shoulder; looking around to see if anyone noticed. Not seeing any obvious reactions from anyone he looked back up at the tall redhead, then gave a slight shrug, closing his hand lightly around hers.

'What the hell,' he figured to himself.

They walked in silence for a bit as they entered the woods, every now and then he'd throw a glance around to see if anyone was following them. This was nice....... but kind of weird. It'd been some time since a pretty gal gave him more than a passing glance. Trying to look as if he had no concerns, he feigned total comfort, offering her a tight smile when she looked down at him.

Re: Taken Under His Wing

Jean grinned to herself at Logan’s subtle attempts to withdraw his hand and the inner thoughts she would almost bet were rolling around the man’s head. Though not completely comfortable with the contact, he seemed to be enjoying it enough to permit it to continue. The sharing of touch in a non-threatening situation would be good for him, she decided, also aware that she was enjoying the feel of his big hand wrapped around her smaller one. As icing on the cake, the joined hands would certainly ignite the imagination of any student aware enough to notice.

“mmmmmmmmm,” Jean hummed with pleasure as they moved from the sunlit grounds into the shaded woods. The smells of the warm earth tickled her nose pleasantly and caused her to smile down at her quiet companion. He must pick up a wealth of information from each inhaled breath, she mused as they continued along the path. Catching his strained smile, she gave his hand a little squeeze and spoke quietly, “Relax, Logan, I don’t bite… at least not very hard.”

A half-hour or so later, their path brought them back to the lake’s edge a respectable distance from the Mansion. Jean stopped to gaze out over the calm water and reached up to lift her heavy hair from the back of her neck to let the hint of a breeze cool the over-warm skin. A sudden thought brought a wicked twinkle to her eyes as she regarded her companion. “Do you like to swim, Logan? I think I’d like to cool off in the water for a few minutes. Want to join me?” Slipping her hand from his for the first time during their walk, she stepped closer to the lake’s bank and reached up to unbutton her light cotton blouse. “It has been ages since I’ve been skinny-dipping,” she tossed back over her shoulder with a chuckle of pure delight.

Catching his strained smile, she gave his hand a little squeeze and spoke quietly, “Relax, Logan, I don’t bite… at least not very hard.”

He smiled at that. The thought of her biting was humorous, especially compared to his own ability to render flesh from bone with his own powerful jaws. His tongue instinctively ran across the tips of his oversized canines absently.

A half-hour or so later, their path brought them back to the lake’s edge a respectable distance from the Mansion.

"Uhh... skinny dippin'?" he asked. This wasn't happening, was it? Was she really...? 'Holy crap,' he thought as she appeared to be unbuttoning her blouse as she stood with her back to him at the water's edge.

Averting his eyes, he looked down at the ground, then threw a glance over his shoulder to scan the woods' edge. Sniffing the air, he collected the scents on the light breeze; picking up pine and grass, the sweet scent of a seeping maple, a few separate species of songbirds and a squirrel foraging nearby. Some scents of the institute's residents lingered in the area, but were days old and barely detectable now. They were alone, at least for now.

Logan glanced back toward Jean and, seeing that she was continuing to disrobe, he looked down at his feet. Toeing at a half-buried stone, he tucked his fingers into the pockets of his jeans as he gave the stone more attention than it deserved. His thoughts drifted to her first question, contemplating how to answer.

"Yeh, sure," he said, "I like to swim... once in a while." He paused for a moment, wondering if he should elaborate or would that be too risky.

Raising his eyes to her, he watched as she placed her clothes aside as she discarded them. He didn't gawk at her, which would have probably surprised most people. She was beautiful, no doubt about that, but Logan was a creature of nature and truly believed that being naked was the most natural way to be. Sure, he made his dry comments once in a while; it helped with the illusion and kept people a good arm's length away... usually.

"I didn't bring a suit," he offered, stepping up beside her at the lake's edge. He scanned the water's surface silently, still trying to decide how much to share with the young beauty. Then he turned his face to look up at her and, realizing how much she just chanced in exposing herself to him; albeit in a different sort of way, he met her eyes briefly then turned back to the water as he spoke. "Truth is... me an' water don't always get along real well," he waited for a retort, but it didn't come, so he added, "Havin' a metal skeleton makes recreational swimmin' a bit... taxin'. It's like tryin' to swim while carryin' an anchor." He paused again, then added to reassure her, "Don't get me wrong, I can swim, pretty good in fact. But the added weight tires me out pretty fast..."

Logan didn't know what else to say after that, a moment later he sighed then smiled. Toeing off his boots, he reached over his head and pulled the black tee shirt off. Balling it up in his hands, he grinned and tossed the shirt over toward where hers lay. His smile was two-fold; one, to let her know he's willing if she is, for a little while anyway and, two, to give her a chance to stop him before he finished.

He totally understood that it was a woman's prerogative to change her mind... and it was a gentleman's duty to give her ample opportunity to do so, in any situation.

Re: Taken Under His Wing
Where: Pation
With: X-23 and others
When: Late Afternoon, Saturday
Jonathan watched, almost smiling indulgently as Karika 'attacked' her next meal. The girl's enjoyment and enthusiasm for her food was actually a delight. True, the table manners were a shade lacking, but that could be addressed in time.

Though appearing not to be watching closely, Jonathan had taken note of the comings and goings on the patio. While inside with Karika, he had fixed another cup of tea and sipped at it while the girl worked on her second meal. His sharp blue eyes had taken note of Jean leaving with Logan, and he sighed. He'd been intending to speak with her regarding how to handle settling Karika for the night.

Jonathan didn't think leaving her on her own was a really good idea. Likewise, it would be totally improper to house her in his spare bedroom for the time being as he was a bachelor and one of the faculty. For the moment, he settled for relaxing and enjoying the afternoon whilst keeping a wary eye on his newest charge.

OOC: This will be hard for anyoen to actually respond to as a tag since it is mainly JC's thoughts on what to do with Karika for the night. But...feel free to 'tag' him and speak with him if you wish.

Re: Taken Under His Wing

Jean pretended not to notice Logan’s slightly nervous reaction to her invitation as she slowly and methodically shed her light clothing, but she couldn’t hold back the small smile curving her lips. So, she thought with a glint of humor, the man wasn’t as completely jaded as he tried to appear, if the sound of shifting and toe-scuffing was any indication. Finally, as she had nearly completed her disrobing, she heard him answer.

"Yeh, sure," he said, "I like to swim... once in a while."

Turning her head she caught his gaze on her, appreciative, but neither leering nor suggestive, it spoke of a soul that was comfortable with Nature in all of her aspects. Waiting quietly she watched him move closer, stopping at her side and looking out across the lake.

"I didn't bring a suit," he offered, stepping up beside her at the lake's edge.

“You may not have noticed, but I didn’t bring one either,” Jean nodded, responding in a soft voice suited to the tranquility of their surroundings, but with a chuckle evident in the tone.

Jean continued to watch and wait, her thoughts circling around how to make the experience as enjoyable and relaxing as possible for her companion. Before she could begin to explain what she had in mind, she heard his soft sigh and saw him smile as he, too began to disrobe. Returning his smile, she gave him a quick, flirty wink then shifted her gaze to the lake, affording him the same privacy to undress that he had given her.

“We won’t stay in long, but there’s not much that is quite as good on a hot, humid day as the feeling of silky cool water sliding along bare, over-heated skin. “The point is for you to rest, not tire yourself even more. Relax and let me make this enjoyable for you,” she said softly looking over to the man beside her and extending her hand for his as she stepped off the bank and into the crisp, cool water in a small, hidden cove of Breakstone Lake.

“We won’t stay in long, but there’s not much that is quite as good on a hot, humid day as the feeling of silky cool water sliding along bare, over-heated skin." [Jean told him.]

Logan blinked, nearly freezing as he removed his boots. He tried to not let her words, and the image they put in his head, cause a physical reaction that wouldn't be appropriate considering the circumstances. "Uhhh... yeh... okay," he replied, trying to cover the fact that his brain had taken a detour for a moment.

“The point is for you to rest, not tire yourself even more. Relax and let me make this enjoyable for you,” she said softly looking over to the man beside her and extending her hand for his as she stepped off the bank and into the crisp, cool water in a small, hidden cove of Breakstone Lake.

As he stood up and began to remove his jeans, her offer and the tone she used, gave him a sense of... well, comfort, like he'd never felt before. The whole thought of her relaxing him and making this experience enjoyable for him... well, just the offer was nice... real nice.

As he slid the pants down his legs he turned his back to her and then tossed them a few feet away. As he turned back, she was taking a step toward the water, her hand extended out to him. Hesitating only a brief moment, he stepped along behind her and took her hand in his, letting her lead the way.

As he waded into the cool water, his eyes closed briefly with the relief of it caressing his skin. The hot shower he'd taken earlier was taken with the thought of easing tight muscles, but this....... this was just...

Logan realized he couldn't find a word to describe this moment. He opened his eyes and slowly looked around, taking in their surroundings. The sun was lowered in the sky, casting a dimmed glow across the water's surface. The air was humid with a hint of starting to cool as night approached. The birds and forest animals were getting settled for the night and a light breeze caused the trees to sway gently.

He let out a sigh of contentment, feeling the calm and peacefulness he always felt in his Mother's care. Nature was the only mother he could ever remember having and she always took good care of him. The feeling showed in his features, in his eyes, as he turned again to look at the woman sharing the moment with him.

For a brief moment, he asked himself why she was here, why was she here... with him? Few people bothered to share such moments with him. Few people ever bothered to even ask or offer. He knew part of it was his fault; The Wolverine's fault, not to mention his entire reputation. Being seen as nothing but a born killer; an assassin; damaged goods from his old Weapon X days, didn't afford many opportunities for party invitations.

Normally he didn't mind either, at least that's what he told himself. Most people weren't worth the time; they were rude and selfish and ill-mannered. They were arrogant, demanding respect without earning it and never thinking to give it in return... or even first. Few knew or understood what true honor meant.

A small movement brought his attention back to the present and he realized he'd drifted. He was here to relax, not think about what was wrong with the world. He was here to relax and feel peaceful... and he had a gorgeous red haired beauty standing beside him ready to share it with him, wanting to share it with him. He gave her a gentle smile and waited for her to show him what she had in mind.

Re: Taken Under His Wing
Who: Mez
With: No one
Where: Mansion

Mez finished his food and quietly left the room, Wolverine and Jean had both left already and Mez felt like doing the same. Cleaning off his plate and food he snatched a small bowl of Tiramisu and wolfed it down as fast as he could before leaving.

James started thinking about what next to do, he didn't want to call it a night yet. Mez decided to head out to Salem Center and spend some time there. Heading back to his room Mez changed his clothes to: a pair of Digital Camouflage pants and baseball cap with the same "diggie-cammie" on it but with the Chicago White Sox emblem on it. Finally Mez pulled out of the closet a black sweater, but not just anyone, it was a one of kind airbrushed sweater. On the front it read painted "graffiti" style: "The price of freedom is death". On the back was the picture of Malcolm X, and his death "Febuary 21, 1965".

Mez grabbed the keys to his car, if thats what you could call it and headed downstairs to the garage. An 88' Chevy Cavalier, wasn't the best but it was better than driving a Ford Pinto. When Mez walked into the Garage he was puzzled at first....he'd thought there was Silver Convertible somewhere in the garage a few hours ago. Mez had hoped that he could get a chance to take that thing for a ride but....somebody beat him to it. Getting into his Cavalier, Mez wished he had his father's car, the one that he would never let him have long as he lived.

Mez pulled the picture of the car off the rearview mirror. A Ford 1968 Mustang, painted Raven Black with a Silver eagle on the hood. Mez kissed the picture and drove off.

Summary: Mez finishes his food and leaves the kitchen. He then goes to the garage and drives off to Salem Center and eventually the "Finding Wisdom" Group

Re: Taken Under His Wing

When: Near Evening
Jonathan glanced around realizing that it was getting on toward dusk. Deep in his soul a restless spirit stirred, longing for a silent flight amongst the forest giants. He rarely gave vent to the urge to flee into nature but tonight something was different.

He glanced at Karika, waiting patiently for her to finish her meal. Jonathan's decision had been made regarding her situation for the night ahead. Although he had concerns for her safety and the safety of others, she had to prove she could be trusted on her own as he might always be available.

"Karika?" Jonathan spoke softly, "When you've finished, I am going to show you where I live and sleep. Then I am going to show you to your own room and get you some clothing for tonight and tomorrow."

"There are a few rules, however." Jonathan paused. "Please do not leave the mansion after everything has been shut down and secured for the evening...unless it is to come directly to me. If you feel afraid or angry...you can use the intercom or telephone to call my apartment and I'll come right away."

He gazed at the girl with gentle dark blue eyes, waiting for an indication that she understood him.

Re: Taken Under His Wing
Who: X-23

When: Near-Dusk

The soldier in Karika was really getting tired now. She got up at the crack of dawn, before the roosters were even aware that it was time to crow, and it was taking a toll on her. She had been awake for more than 12 hours now, it was time to sleep. She had eaten her steak with gusto and it was now sitting quite happily in her stomach. She was glad when Jonathon spoke of bedtime.

"Karika?""When you've finished, I am going to show you where I live and sleep. Then I am going to show you to your own room and get you some clothing for tonight and tomorrow." With a smile, Karika nodded. "Sleep time." She said, standing up from her place. But Jonthon was not finished yet, "There are a few rules, however.""Please do not leave the mansion after everything has been shut down and secured for the evening...unless it is to come directly to me. If you feel afraid or angry...you can use the intercom or telephone to call my apartment and I'll come right away."

Suddenly, she was very confused. "No lock?" She asked, remembering that the doors at Weapon X. They were always locked when she went to sleep...so she would not escape. He wasn't going to lock her in her room? How would she sleep, then? And...he wanted her to use something called a telephone if she got scared? "Telephone?" She repeated.

Karika vaguely knew that an intercom was that The Director used in his office...she had heard someone say the word once. But she had no idea how to use one. Cocking her head to the side, she wondered what the night was going to be like...for it was turning out to be strange already.

Feeling Logan's warm hand slide into hers and his fingers curl around brought a smile to Jean’s face. She was careful not to pull, moving slowly and deliberately to let him reach her side as they moved further into the lake. The cool water rose around their legs both soothing the heat and invigorating with its chill.

She continued moving deeper until the water encircled her waist and there she stopped, turning to face him, noting the beginnings of relaxation in his expression. With a voice barely above a whisper, she invited, “Lie back, Logan. Let me and the lake hold you. Release your cares for a little time and watch the stars appear to remind you that you are as much their child as any other being that ever dwelt here. We are all stars that have evolved into life.”

With a gentle application of her telekinetic ability, she augmented the water’s natural buoyancy enough to allow it to support Logan despite the concentrated mass of adamantium covering his skeleton. As the breeze teased tendrils of her flame-colored hair into dancing around her face, she smiled down at her companion, held lovingly in the water’s embrace.

Re: Taken Under His Wing
Where: Apartment
When: Later in the evening
Jonathan walked out into the cooling night air after making a last routine check of his horses and their stable companions. As it was near dark and only the owl would be interested in companionship, he chose to simply make sure the Mews was locked down for the night.

As he walked, he thought about lesson plans and how to go about teaching Karika in a manner that would make learning fun and interesting rather than a chore. She had seemed ready to settle for the night when he showed her to her room at the mansion, explained about locks, intercoms, telephones, and had gotten her supplied with needed toiletry items and clothing. Jonathan had emphasized that she could contact him if she needed to for any reason at all, including walking her as far as the stairway that led to his apartment so that she could find him if necessary.

Now...he really wanted to escape the bonds of his human form for a short while. Stepping further into the forest and well off the track, Jonathan began the mental process of gearing himself up for the change. The downside...he'd probably want to chase mice the following morning...
A Great Horned Owl, oddly colored in various bands of gold with silver tips to the feathers, floated silently through the trees. Near midnight blue eyes scanned the forest around him and the ground below. The urge to hunt was instinctual and something the man within could only control to a certain point.

Intellectually, Jonathan was now more owl than man. If the creature was caught and somehow measured for sentience, it would rate somewhat higher than its brethren, but not significantly. The other things Jonathan could still influence was a lack of fear of other Humans...or Mutants...and somewhat more self-awareness. It would take a tremendous surge of willpower and effort on his part to return to his Human form later and then aspects of the owl's persona would linger.

Following instinct and sounds drifting through the trees, the owl turned toward the now nearby shores of Breakstone Lake. Silent as a ghost, he gently landed in a tree overlooking a quiet cove. For the moment, any desire to hunt was assuaged by curiosity...another aspect more akin to the man than the bird. Hooting softly, he glanced over 'his' domain. The next sound was almost a cross between a sigh and hoot.

The need to move and not be seen too closely won over the bird's human curiosity and he launched back into the air. Swooping out over the lake, he listened to all of the varying early evening sounds before skimming close to the water and soaring back into the forest.

OOC: Jonathan will stay out for a little while longer, then return to Human form and his apartment. He was careful to avoid anyplace where there might be Human/Mutant activity...except for his brief foray to the lake. Jean and Logan may have glimpsed him or not...depending on if they were still around. I tried to purposely leave that vague.

Re: Taken Under His Wing
With: Karina
Where: Patio

With a deep sigh, Karina's eyes refocused. She had been thinking of something. What it was, she had no idea. Noticing that people were leaving, she got to her feet, stretched and reentered the mansion where she headed to her room.

Wondering where Wanda had gone, for like a minute before shrugging and moving on.

Scarlet Witch:

Wanda had been wondering the grounds. She wasn't going anyplace particular, just thinking and walking. She didn't even notice when she found herself close to the lake nor when Logan and Jean moved in that direction.

She turned on her heels, deciding to return. It was going to be a long time but soon she would have to leave this place in her search that was interrupted sometime ago.

OOC: I deliberately left this vague. Not sure where I'll put them later.
