As the name indicates...this RPG will revolve around Crossroads and New Beginnings.CrossroadsWe would like to see characters come to a 'crossroads' in their lives where important and life changing decisions have to be made. These events can be very personal...i.e. a relationship beginning, ending or changing, or they can be moral or spiritual. Whatever is decided, they should show 'growth' for your character.New BeginningsThis can be any number of items as well and most likely will relate back to the 'crossroads' in your character(s)' life or lives and/or career. Sunglasses with night vision? If it didn’t seem so paradoxical, Crow possibly would have gone “ooohhh”. As it was, she was just jealous. Everyone else got the fun toys. If Miri wanted to have night vision, or flight, or anything else, she had to do it the good ol’ fashioned way—shapeshift. It just wasn’t fair.
But that was beside the point. So was trying to figure out if she had ever been called a ‘good girl’ before. “To tell the truth, they weren’t quite orders,” she replied, shrugging. “More like strong suggestions, and repayment of a debt. I was—ah, suggested—to discover who—“ Miri broke off her explanation, face suddenly taking on a look of blank surprise. It was reasonable, really. Her pocket had started buzzing.
The teen made a face as she recalled what it was, and pulled her phone out. “I thought I turned this thing off,” she murmured, slightly perplexed. No, Crow realized, looking at it; it was off. And yet, the cell was still vibrating. “Do you mind if I take this? Either my employer hacked my phone again, or it’s possessed.”
Not waiting for a reply, Crow flipped it open. Personally, she was hoping for the latter option. Instead of the voice she had been expecting, there was only a short message. Almost as soon as Miri had finished reading it, the text disappeared. She closed the phone again, made sure it was turned off, and slipped it back into her pocket.
“Plans just changed,” she informed him abruptly, “Apparently he doesn’t want your next target dead.” Torn again, Crow looked back up to Peter. “Look, I don’t want to have to follow through.” With an unexpectedly wicked grin, Miri stood up. She casually brushed accumulated dust and pebbles off her pants. “It’s getting pretty late, isn’t i?t” she asked him conversationally, checking her watch. “As I haven’t had any good leads in finding the murderer, I think I’m going to grab a bit to eat. After that, I’ll find a nice tree or something to sleep in. I plan on having a long, nice nap, free of any alarm clocks. Then maybe a leisurely breakfast. If I’m lucky, I can get my calculus homework done afterward. That should keep me busy until, oh, maybe nine tomorrow morning. That long enough?” Summary: Crow explains what she was told to do, gets her plans changed, and decides to stay out of Peter’s way. See no evil… Tags: All there

Peter smiled at her, but the heat radiating off his hands didn't die down. He was still anxious over the group that wasn't moving on. But she wasn't trying to stop him. That was a good thing. "I don't know if that will be long enough. My employer hasn't given me my next.......lay-off." Peter spoke quieter now, tryng to not let the group over hear.
Almost as if on que, a little light on the side of his sunglasses began to blink, indicating an incoming message. Peter thumbed hs control pad on his gloves, and the message appeared before his eyes. No-one watching would see anything change on the outside of his glasses. His eyes quickly scrolled the orders, and then he deleted them.
Peter reached into his pocket and pulled out his keys. Forgetting that his power was semi active, his pants began to sizzle. Peter pad it no mind and walked to his room door. He opened it up and gathered his mission bag once more. He turned to Miri and tossed her the keys. "You can crash here tonight. Better than a tree or the ground. I'll be gone till morning most likely." The keys were still hot from being held in his hand.
Peter started to walk off then, casting a menacing look at the group who were standing there. He dialed up the taxi company on his cell phone and called for a cab. Now he just had to wait 20 minutes. All the while, he wished he had a cool traveling power lke flight, or teleportation. That would make his job three times easier.

Crow watched curiously as Peter fell silent, as if he was listening to something. No, she realized after a second, he was reading. With her modified eyes, Miri could see through the sunglasses if she tried—although the text was still invisible, it was possible to see his eyes moving back and forth. I so need to get me some of those.
Somehow the shifter refrained from making a ‘hot pants’ joke, most likely because she remembered the description of his victims the news had provided. It sounded uncomfortable. At least she knew how he ‘laid people off’—she’d really have to use that euphemism more.
Miri caught the keys reflexively, realized they were hot, and dropped them. She picked them up, but instead sent them back to Peter. As tempting as a real bed was, they had already been together too long. “Thanks, but I shouldn’t,” she shook her head regretfully. “If there’s anyone who’s better at snooping than I am, its everyone else my boss ropes into working for him. Explaining why I was in my target’s room could get…awkward.”
Turning, she began to walk away as Peter had. Suddenly she stopped, but did not look back. “…Be careful. If I catch wind of anything out of the ordinary, I’ll have to check it. And I’m a light sleeper.” She continued again, and her final words were soft; probably too soft for him to hear. “’Night, Mr. Wisdom.” Tags: You know who ya are.

Ryu was riding on the bus to the town of Salem. He was going to the last place he could turn. His mother kicked out of his house, and the rest of the family didn't like him much. Ryu looked out the window, he say woods and trees. Ryu never thought he would leave New York City, but here he was on a bus to Salem, New York. Ryu was wondering if this was the right choice. He was on the way to meet Professor Xiaver.
Soon Ryu noticed the buildings, so he guess they were about there. Ryu looked out the window, noticed that he was now in a small town. He didn't see many people up and around. "Geez, I can't believe that I am here." whispered Ryu to himself.
Soon the bus stopped, and Ryu got off. The driver opened the lower compartment and Ryu took his duffle bag. He thanked the man and threw his duffle bag over his shoulder. Ryu started to walk around town, hoping something was opened. He didn't know where to find the Xiaver Manison. He continued to walk around. He found not much was open, and not many people were around.
Ryu looked around and his head dropped. "Great, no one is around to help you when you need it." Ryu crossed the street, and continued to look around. He noticed a couple people around his age walking towards him. He jogged over to them and stop 5 feet in front of them and said "Excuse me, I am sorry to bother you. But I need to know how to get to the Xiaveer Insitute. Can you help me out?" ask Ryu as he wait for some to answer him.

Also, Iceman’s new player has yet to be approved, so I am still temping the guy.
Her friends were still waiting for the telepath among them to clarify whether she had been picking up on any thoughts, or tuggings from either another telepath in the vicinity, or someone just trying to communicate with one nearby. Gambit had already moved on a little from the group, let Mana and her other friends deal with whatever Skye was picking up on. Probably wasn’t that important anyway.
~Oh, so no’ a goo’ attitude t’ be havin’,~ the Cajun thought, as was the next habit he was about to enjoy too, lighting the end of the cigarette with ease, hence the reason he’d moved away from the group a little.
“Hey, would you lot keep the noise down,” Swann suddenly said, “Stop with all the talking already, I am trying to concentrate,” her eyes reopened at that point, and she gave everyone a look of mild annoyance, even as both Pyro and Iceman chuckled.
“So, what did you hear?” John prodded, of which Skye just shrugged, and said, “Someone just asking if I’d seen the news lately. Actually, I don’t think she was asking me, I think she was just asking telepaths in general, or something.”
“Hah, like that is gonna happen…” Iceman spoke up, “The news is so boring, although,” he glanced at Rahne, giving her a wink, “If you were watching it with me…” and he let his words trail in the air, letting the wolf girl picture whatever she wished to from them.
“Well, thank goodness," Mana began, "but, hey, I think I will check the news out when we get home, cos, you know, must be something really interesting on it for someone to be asking about it, right?”
Her friends merely shrugged, reaching where Gambit stood, nearly finished his cigarette already. “So, anytin’ t’ be worried abou’?” he asked, smiling as Mana shook her head, “Nope, not really,” she said, eyes back on the two forms they’d recently passed, one now seeming to be leaving the other. She still felt something was off with the two.

The arrival of some stranger completely out of the blue made Mana jump nearly six feet, her attention still on other thoughts, “Oh heck, like, don’t do that!” she cried, looking towards the newcomer.
“Ya looking for the Xavier Institute,” Pyro clarified, “Well,” he paused, glancing at Mana, *Should we tell him? What if he’s an enemy or something?* he asked her, via the link they shared, well aware what he had just said sounded funny.
*No, I don’t think he is,* Mana answered, *Probably just a newcomer looking for his new home or something…*
*Yep, I’m not picking up any bad vibes,* Swann chipped in.
John glanced back at Ryu, “Well, you are in luck, we come from there. Hi, I’m John Allerdyce, but prefer to be called Pyro, these others here,” and he proceeded to point to them in turn, “are, Remy LeBeau, or Gambit, Skye Allerdyce, or Swann, who also happens to be my pregnant wife," he announced, with much pride in his voice, "We also have Rahne Sinclair, or Wolfsbane, Ramana Cavanagh, or just plain Mana, and Bobby Drake, or Iceman,” he finished, “And you are?”
Summary: Skye clarifies someone did send thoughts a telepaths’ way, but assures them it is nothing to worry about, before Pyro greets the newcomer with introductions and clarifications.

Ryu listen to the guy named John or Pyro, as he called himself, as he introduced everyone. It was kinda to meet all these new people, especially since he lost so much in the past week. "Hello Everyone, my name Ryu Miyamoto. It's an honor to meet. But I am sorry to bother about this, since you seem to going out or something." said Ryu as he stood their for a moment.
Ryu quickly studied everyone, and picked up features. So later on he could remember their names. 'John or Pyro guys who probably plays fire. Swann is Johnny's pregnant girl and future wife. Remy is the guy with black and red eyes. Rahne is the girl, with red hair. John is the guy with curly blonde hair. Then Ramana is the girl with brown eyes. Mana is kinda cute. I can't think that, I just met the girl.'
Once that was done, Ryu quickly left his thoughts behind. "So, are you all heading back to the manison. If not, would you mind if hung out with you. I just asking cause, I don't want to be a burden or anything." said Ryu as he waited for an answer from the group.

Karen walked through the street with her hands shoved in the pockets of her trademark baggy jeans. She was keen to be off the streets and off them now. People were not her thing; not unless they were the furry people called pets. She'd never really had a pet herself though. Not even a tiny gold fish had found itself her way. She knew that that was just another one of her father's ways of controling her, but hey. That was all in the past now. Yet somehow she found herself half wanting that security that she'd had there, the order of her daily chores. She may have been free of it all now, but even a prisoner will sometimes purposely be thrown back in jail just for the order of the system.
That was when she came up on Sleepy Willwo Inn. If she could've afforded it she would've have rented a room right that moment. It'd been a while since she'd been able to sleep much, let alone in an actual bed. That was when her ears picked up the sounds of a conversation and it was between quite a few people. That caught her attention. With a quick glance around to make sure no one was watching, she dissapeared from view and snuck up on those who were actually having the conversation.
They were an interesting set of people indeed. Infact all of them had a mutant scent, that just a little off tint that every mutant shared. That made her even more curious. Her tail flicked subconsiously in intrigue.

~Ryu Miyamoto, right, I think I’ll just try and remember the first name for this one,~ Pyro’s thoughts were heard by both Mana and Swann, the girls chuckling, and throwing him a look of agreement.
“What?” Iceman asked, looking at the three mind linked mutants.
“Yeah, what?” Rahne agreed, mild annoyance showing clearly on her face.
“Nothing,” Swann was quick to say, looking rather embarrassedly at Ryu, “Hey, nice to meet you,” she continued, “and, yeah, you can come back to the mansion with us, however, thing is, we’re actually heading to a pizza restaurant to get some food. I mean, look at me,” she pointed to her rather large tummy. "I am eating for more than just one now,” she smiled, John snickering in her ear, which quickly got him an elbow in the ribs from his wife.
Green eyes shot towards the alleyway behind them, wolf-like senses picking up on a smell the others wouldn’t even know was there. Wolfsbane’s sudden movement brought a look of concern from her boyfriend, “What is it?” Iceman asked, his question alerting the rest of the group that something was up.
“There’s someone there,” was all Rahne chose to divulge, the hairs on the back of her neck standing on end. She was a wolf… what she was picking up on smelt like a cat… no one needed to be a rocket scientist to deduce what that meant.
Gentle concerned eyes followed Rahne’s gaze, Mana actually moving closer to where Rahne was indicating. “Who’s there?” she asked, suddenly feeling the tug of a hand on her arm, “Wha’ yo’ be doin’, Cher?” the Cajun finally spoke up, having just been studying Ryu, and listening to his introductions without a word. “Yo’ don’ jus’ be goin’ up t’ strang’rs in de shad’ws like dat,” he admonished.
Mana had to hold back from rolling her eyes, “Rahne, are you getting any sense of danger from this person? Swann… are you?” she asked, not taking her eyes off the alley the whole time. When both girls' answer came back with the answer she had been expecting, Mana put her hands on her hips, “See?” she asked, his red-on-black eyes reflecting the amusement he felt at her attempt to prove him wrong. “Jus’ be careful, Petit,” was all he said, before backing off only a little.
Mana took another step towards the alley, her friends close behind her, and, hopefully, Ryu, the newcomer, would know to just stay back, and let them handle whatever was about to come there way.
“Hello? Are you okay? Did you need something?” Mana addressed the stranger in the shadows.
Summary: Swann lets Ryu know he is welcome to come back to the mansion with them, after the group gets some food. Rahne announces the presence of someone in the shadows in her own unique way, Mana moving in to see who it is, after assuring Gambit there is no danger.

Emma Frost pulled her handbag slightly higher on her shoulder; vaguely frustrated by the fact it seemed to have taken a liking for falling off her arm as she walked. She flicked her hair over her shoulder and caught sight of the shower of white gold in the window and almost grinned, they had certainly done a good job. The small hairdresser’s boutique was in a slightly less desirable location from her usual shops, but they were quite exclusive and extremely good at fixing her hair perfectly. Perhaps if she funded them they might be able to move to a more up-class location.
She was just coming to her car, about to slip off her long white coat so she could place it in the passenger seat while she drove, when something made her look up. A group of people...no, not people, mutants, were standing on the street corner, she instantly recognised most of the members of the group and made her way towards them.
Heels clacking firmly on the ground, she strode along until she was just behind the group. "Dear me children, loitering on street corners, what would your head teacher say? How untidy you make the place look." she said, a flicker of humour in her voice as she placed on hand on her hip and studied the group carefully. A new comer, and more people moving further off from the group, people who didn't quite belong. A small furrow creased Emma's perfect brow as she considered this, keeping her gaze focused on the group.
Summary: The White Queen crashes the party and senses something just a bit off.

Karen's ear were flat on her head as they edged closer. Everystep they took foward she took back. She was at least happy that they could not see her. Of course she couldn't really go anywhere, but she could damn well try. People, even fellow mutant people, were not her thing at all. Her hackles were pointed up, not in aggression, but a slight bit of fear and caution. The fact that this Rahne girl had smelled her did not make her feel comfortable. The size of the group wasn't helping much either.
Of course, it made sense then that a new member of the group coming in just made her feel worse. This time a small hiss came up from her throat. It was muted by her closed lips but she herself still heard it and started to mentaly kick herself in the butt.

Ryu then noticed that Swann tensed up. Like there was danger or something. Ryu decided to not get involved much. Since he still didn't know, how to control his powers that well. He was more scared of his powers anyway. Ryu also noticed that the guy, named Gambit was more concerned about him. Kinda reminded him of this guy, that he knew back in Queens.
The girls seem to be know, what they were doing. Ryu stood back and waited. Ryu continued to listen to their conversation. 'Danger sense, oh god I hope they can't read my mind.' thought Ryu as he remembered what he thought before. He noticed the girl Mana walk towards the alley way.
"Dear me children, loitering on street corners, what would your head teacher say? How untidy you make the place look."
Ryu turned his head to the new lady. His thought were 'WOW!'. Ryu just stood there and continued to glance around the group, has he waited for something else to happen.

Peter logged up the built in clock on his glasses. THe taxi was late. Damn. That was one thing that England had over America so far, the cab-drivers were at least punctual. Peter noticed that the group which had been eying him earlier was now getting larger.
With nothing else to do for the moment, Peter turned to face them. He set his bag down and began to study each. Before he got too far though, the blonde lady showed up. She seemed to have some sort of authority over them, just by the way she talked with this group. Peter turned back toward Mirir and waved goodbye to her.
This next hit was going to be his toughest yet, and not just because of the fact that everyone in the group he'd been assassinating was now protected by gaurds. Still it was better than the one he'd been told would be last on his list. Supposedly the man on the bottom of the new list was the most powerful psychic on the planet. Peter hated psychics. They had a nasty habit of knowing what you were going to do next.
Oh well. Soon as this cab arrived, it would be time to make the morning news. Peter's foot began to tap impatiently. 5 more minutes, then he'd call the company to complain. Maybe he should buy a car while he was here? No, buying thigns like that made you tracable. Peter was very good at not being tracable, which was one of the reasons he was still alive.

Crow hadn’t lied about being hungry. In fact, she was starving. She hadn’t eaten anything since noon, after all. She did have better things to do than chase after someone she didn’t want to catch. Eating was high on the list. So were sleeping, doing her homework, breathing, and being tortured by three-foot-tall, sentient house plants.
Seated inside the first pizza place she had seen, Miri watched what had to be ‘her’ pizza come out of the kitchen, supported by a waitress. Sure enough, pie and woman headed Crow’s way. It must have been an odd sight, Crow considered. A single girl—tall, but incurably thin—and a very large pizza, loaded everything under the sun. In the case of the mushrooms and onion, a few things not under the sun, as well. To any watchers, something just wouldn’t add up.
Crow dug in without further ado, devouring her first slice with manners that would have been impeccable, if speed wasn’t an issue. If she actually cared, she would have remembered that eating quickly wasn’t healthy. Thankfully, she didn’t care. In a matter of minutes, nearly half the pie was gone, and Crow was still going.
Despite outward appearances, she worried. If there was any outside hint of Peter’s activities, Miri would be bound into checking it. ~What honor and duty require.~ An old friend had departed that judgment onto her when she first learned to pick a lock. He was the one who taught her. Who ever said thieves didn’t have morals? Sure, she was a bit sketchy on the parts about material possessions, privacy, and honesty, but she was very clear on the value of life…and returning what was owed. Sooner of later, she would have to compromise one or the other. From what she had seen only a few minutes earlier, it seemed ‘sooner’ was winning.~ For the good of us all, Peter, be careful!~ Summary: Crow eats pizza. A lot of pizza. Tags: Anyone hungry.

Standing in the middle of the sidewalk in his baggy second-hand clothes with a hand gripping the side of his head tightly, people bustling back and forth, Jim cursed himself yet again for not grabbing a map since getting off the bus. This town was so different from the one he was used to, and just trying to figure out where to go gave him a pounding headache. Not to mention he smelt like wood polish -- his older brother just had to try and bleach his hair with lemon juice, didn't he? It didn't work; it wasn't sunny at his old house. And now Jim's hair was wet, because there was no way he was going to walk around in a foreign town with his hair looking like it was greasy and had decided to form little 'spikes'. He knew he looked weird enough in his ratty clothes; that much was evident with the way everyone seemed to be wearing new stuff.
After getting jostled for the upteenth time, Jim decided to go right, where most of the people were going. Although it was partially his fault for getting jostled - standing in the middle of a busy sidewalk? Yeah. Not that bright an idea. And so he let himself get carried away with the crowd, weaving around people when it was getting too slow. Part of him wondered why he was moving so quickly; it wasn't like he had anywhere to go.
Because Jim knew once he got to wherever he was going, he would feel even more uncomfortable then he was now. His shyness often got in the way of him interacting with people, so he was guessing that once (if?) he got settled, he would soon enough become 'that one kid' whose name no one ever bothered to learn. Which was fine with him; he preferred being anonymous. It was what he did whenever he submitted something to his old school's literary arts magazine. People could talk about his stuff all they wanted to, but they wouldn't be judging him. And Jim liked that feeling; they wouldn't be focusing on the writer, but the piece.
A wind blew, and with it came the promise that it was going to get chillier soon. Deciding he had wandered enough, he looked around for someone who might point him in the right direction. Preferably a mutant, Jim thought, before quickly waving that idea off. It wasn't like he could tell who was a mutant just by looking at them. Weren't most mutants normal looking? Jim was, wasn't he?
Spotting a group of people chatting, Jim headed over to them. They looked friendly enough, and one of the ladies looked pregnant. Surely she'd be nice, right? Once he had approached the pregnant lady, he shifted the bag over his shoulders.
"Um, excuse-" Jim began, but another lady spoke.
"Dear me children, loitering on street corners, what would your head teacher say? How untidy you make the place look."
Feeling as though she was meaning him, Jim blushed and ducked his head, shaggy brown hair obscuring his face from view. That was ridiculous, he scolded himself. She didn't even know him, and chances were that she hadn't even seem him. He was just some stupid, paranoid little kid! God, maybe the lady was right, even if she didn't mean it at him. He did make things look untidy.
Summary: Jim thinks negatively about himself, approaches the group, and then thinks some more negative thoughts about himself.
Because he's emo like that.

Ryu noticed a little boy stand behind everyone. He seemed hurt and upset about something. Ryu also remember the possiblity of danger. So he put down his bag, and walked over to the boy. He casually walked past everyone. He soon stood in front of the boy, knelt down. When he looked into the boys eyes, they screamed lonliness.
He smiled at the boy, and said "Hello, my name is Ryu. So kid, what are you doing out here by yourself? Where are your parents and stuff. You should be wandering around by yourself." said Ryu with a smile. He reached over and ruffled his hair.

Noticing one of the teenagers spot him and walk over, Jim felt himself tense up. Suppose this guy thought he was trouble for his group, and beat him up? Or maybe he was over-protective of the pregant lady and the others, and was going to tell him to get lost? Or maybe... or maybe he was just coming to see what Jim wanted? Ack. Being a mutant in a new town, Jim felt as if everyone knew what he was, and so he was super paranoid that people wanted to hurt him. It wasn't that he had been attacked personally, but he heard the kids at school talking about those "mutant freaks" and how they'd like to "kick their asses" because they "thought they were better then everyone else".
The guy had come up to Jim and bent so he was eye level with him. Jim took a hesitant half-step back, a hand raising to hold onto his backpack strap. He felt his face flush, and cursed his shyness once again. Jim knew he was short, and he didn't mind looking up to people, really. So maybe this guy thought he was a little kid or something? He mentally pouted. Really, he wasn't that short, was he?
"Hello, my name is Ryu. So kid, what are you doing out here by yourself? Where are your parents and stuff. You should be wandering around by yourself."
Apparently he was, seeing as how the guy... Ryu was talking to him. Biting his lip nervously, he said softly, "I'm..." he began, hesitating. Suppose this guy was anti-mutant? It was a well-known fact Xavier's was the safe haven for mutants, so if Ryu was anti-mutant, Jim might find himself in a fight. Although... it wouldn't be that big of a deal, right? He could just 'summon' something, and let that fight for him. Or something?
Thinking out his options, Jim continued.
"I'm looking for Mister Xavier's school..." he said finally. "My mom had to work, so she couldn't take me... and my brother, he has school, and I don't want to be an inconvenience, so I said I'd go by... myself..."
Jim blushed, finding sudden interest in his shoes. He was certaintly chatty, wasn't he? Giving information about his family, how he was all alone. Suppose Ryu was actually a child molester?
Stop, he told himself. There was no way Ryu would be a child molester. He looked Jason's age, for crying aloud! And besides, wasn't Jim giving off the impression of being a child? Honestly, he was acting like a preschooler, with his shyness.

He noticed that boy was very shy. Ryu remembered how he used to be like that. Then he learned about his powers. He started to abuse the fact that he had powers. The abuse of his powers came back to him to haunt him. He lost everything for the abuse of his powers. Now he was scared to use them. He didn't know the true purpose of his powers.
He watched as the boy took a step back from him. Ryu thought he didn't like scary kids that much. He then listened to the boy.

Ryu stood back and ruffled the kids hair. He continued to talk to the boy. "You know its impolite to talk to someone, without giving your name, kid. What is your name?" asked Ryu in a cheerful manner.

Wolfsbane didn’t get the chance to finish her sentence, both Mana and Pyro moving just moments before Swann’s eyes rolled up in her head, and the pregnant wife of St. John Allerdyce began to sway sideways, John catching her at the same time Mana reached her position and grabbed onto her sister-in-law’s arms. “Heck, whatever,” Mana suddenly said, “We have got to get,” she paused, noticing yet another newcomer had joined the group, the other new one, Ryu was talking to him. “Ack, no, okay, we can’t wait around, come on, guys, to the pizza shop. Skye needs sustenance now!” and with that, she helped Pyro move the healer along, glancing back at Ryu and Jim, “You can follow if you want, after we eat, we’re heading back to the mansion.”
“Yeah,” Rahne piped up, her green eyes still on the slight movement in the shadows, “Up to you if you want to come along as well,” she told the mutant cat, turning on her heal and joining back up with Bobby, the two following behind their three friends.
"It be abou' time," the Cajun piped up, already among the group as they began to walk away.
“Oh, sorry Emma,” Mana called over her shoulder, merely seconds later, “Ya wanna come too?” ~Oh, and check that guy out over there near the lamp post. I don’t like him one little bit,~ she thought towards the telepathic woman.
Summary: Mana greets Emma Frost, before moving to catch Swann before she passes out from being so hungry, then moves her immediate friends on to the pizza place, open invitations given to the rest.

“Geesh, Emma, is there no getting away from you?” she quipped, grinning cheekily, before giving Rahne a questioning look.
"Seems that I just can't get enough of your presence" Emma said ironically, her eyes shifting playfully to Gambit for a second. Her eyes moved to Swann, sensing the young woman was about to pass out, only a second after Pyro and Mana. "Dear me" she murmured softly, as she watched the group more carefully. There was definitely some interesting dynamics going on. As they made their way into the dinner, Mana's invitation ringing into the still night, Emma turned to glance back at the man under the lamppost as Mana's telepathic thought entered her mind.
"I agree. I think I'll go and talk to him. If anything happens, make sure you get Swann and the younger children to safety. You can never be too careful" Emma replied, before making her way over to where the man stood. "Hello, I noticed you over here and I just wanted to check that my students didn't disturb you at all." she said with a mildly friendly smile, her icy blue eyes searching his for some indication of what he was up to. Until she was sure he wasn't a telepath she couldn't search his mind, there was no telling what might happen.

Ryu heard that and quickly flowed the group to the pizza shop. He picked up his bag too. He followed behind them. Ryu was wondering who that woman was, in white. But he was hungry and needed something to eat.
When he got inside, he went over to the counter and ordered Ryu then said "Yeah can I get two Larges Pizza pies. One I want a meatlover special, and the other just plain cheese. Also two big bottles of coke and ten cups." Once the guy finished taking his order, Ryu paid the bill for everyone. He watched as they all sat down with Swann. She was just hungry, and you could see it. Ryu went over to the table and said "I put in an order for the food, everyone. Consider this my gift for helping me and Jim, find the manison. Also, I hope we can be good friends."
He quickly pulled up a chair for him and Jim. They now waited for the pizza to be finished. "So, what did you guys do today. Anything exciting?" asked Ryu as he tried to make a friends conversation.

Background: Many, many years ago, Charles Francis Xavier established Xavier's School for the Gifted. Also, seeing other Mutants misusing and abusing their powers, he created the first generation of the X-Men.This original team was trained and lead by an old friend of his...Logan, aka Wolverine. Logan's co-leader was a young woman and student named Ororo Munroe, aka Storm. Once the team was trained and fielded on active missions, they took on the additional responsibility of teaching and helping new Mutants deal with their powers.On one horrible night, the X-Men were fielded to stop a particularly powerful Mutant and his 'gang'. The 'intelligence' received on this Mutant and his cohorts was sketchy and actually turned out to be a set-up to entrap the X-Men and take them captive. In the ensuing melee', 'things' happened and a number of the team were killed outright or severely injured.After making sure his remaining team-mates were going to be okay, Logan left. Xavier has not, to current time, explained his absence or even whether or not he survived.Current Time/Game Time: Almost seven years later, as Human/Mutant incidents are on the rise, Xavier once again sees a need for a Mutant 'police force'. He sees this new X-Men team as a force for good and a way to help peacefully integrate the rapidly emerging Mutant society with the established Human society. To this end, he has contacted Logan and asked him to 'come home' and train his 'new' team.
Logan has reluctantly agreed.Can shadows from their past be put aside for the good of the new X-Men?
