As the name indicates...this RPG will revolve around Crossroads and New Beginnings.CrossroadsWe would like to see characters come to a 'crossroads' in their lives where important and life changing decisions have to be made. These events can be very personal...i.e. a relationship beginning, ending or changing, or they can be moral or spiritual. Whatever is decided, they should show 'growth' for your character.New BeginningsThis can be any number of items as well and most likely will relate back to the 'crossroads' in your character(s)' life or lives and/or career. They may be starting a new career as teacher or student at Xavier's School for the Gifted or may have been selected to train for the upcoming X-Men team(s). Their 'new beginning' once again may be as simple as establishing a new relationship or changes in an old one.

OOC: Pictures are $9.95 each Mez, so pay up or hand the camera over. And Mana, I don't see why not but at this point she isn't very "friendly", she doesn't know what friends are yet. But in the future, sure thing
IC:
"Mine""Only mine" Mez had said to her as he pointed to his music box. X-23 growled low in her throat, making it very clear that she did not like to be 'quoted' like that. The expression on her face was riddled with anger that clearly showed that she's just as soon sqewer him than look at him. But aside from his rudeness, she didn't really care for him that much...she sniffed and turned toward the other newcomers.
Mez kept on talking away, forcing X-23 to keep her anger in check again. "Hey, have I seen you two before?" "I don't know maybe I'm just crazy" Twitching her lips, she nodded. "Crazy." And that was it, Karika had let it run. For a girl who spoke no more than 10 words a day, she was pretgy efficient at being a little bitch. That was definetly a genetic trait...they just didn't know it yet.
"If you don't like this then nothing can save you." "Karika here isn't exactly a big fan of Tupac"“I have no idea what he is listening to,”“Personally, Metallica and Nickelback are more my style, but hey, each to there own.” "No bad music." She snapped, and that was not a request. That was an order. Looking at the girl she pointed to the Ipod again and shook her head, clearly conveying her dislike of it. It was against her better judgement to continue, so she thought about Mez still talking.
"This is place is so nice it has to be criminal, I feel like this is home. But of course, there aren't too many places that allow people such as I to live comfortably." "Nice place." She said, motioning to the lavish mansion as Mana and the other two boys talked about knowing each other. X-23 felt at a rather large advantage, she didn't know ANYONE here...that way, she didn't have to play the: 'Do I know you?' game.
When she was sure everyone had stopped talking completely, Karika spoke up. With an air of learned confidence, she pointed to the file at her chest. "Director, NOW." What she was trying to tell them was that she wanted to see the person in charge here immediately...what they actually interpreted was going to be something to see.
Re: "Daddy's" Little Girl
OOC: Sorry Marina, but I'm a cheap bastard.
"No bad music." She snapped, and that was not a request. That was an order. Looking at the girl she pointed to the Ipod again and shook her head, clearly conveying her dislike of it.
"Oh hell no sister" Mez said. "You never tell a negro what music to listen to." the young man said, he cracked a smile along with.
“Personally, Metallica and Nickelback are more my style, but hey, each to there own.”
"Not much of a rock fan myself" Mez said.
When she was sure everyone had stopped talking completely, Karika spoke up. With an air of learned confidence, she pointed to the file at her chest. "Director, NOW."
"I believe the 'direct' would be the proper term for Karika, very to the point, am I right?" He said looking at Karika, taking his Ipod and putting it in his ears.

OOC: Sorry this took a while, been busy with board maintainance here.

Director? Well, it was obvious who that was. “Come on then,” Mana said, motioning for the girl to follow her, “You coming, John?” she asked him.
“May as well,” he put in, “Got nothing better to do.”
Mana shook her head, ~Way to make the girl feel welcome, Pyro,~ she thought, keeping her displeasure from him.
Quote:"Not much of a rock fan myself," Mez said.
Pyro gave the mutant a sideways glance. “You have no idea what you are missing then,” he told him, a smirk on his face.

Mana didn’t want to answer that when the girl in question was right there. Not a very nice thing, talking about someone right in front of them. She just smiled at X-23, turning to walk down the hallway towards Xavier’s office.
“Yeah, I think direct is a little understated,” John piped up, Mana cringing, “Oh, for goodness sake!” she cried, “Leave the girl alone!” her tone not one to be messed with, something her foster brother knew well.
John just shrugged, “Hey, like, I don’t mean anything by it, just, yeah, well, you don’t say much, and when you do, it is straight to the point,” he said.
Mana just sighed and began to walk off. If X chose to follow her, then so be it, if not, and she wouldn’t blame her if she didn’t, Mana was going to give Pyro some serious lessons in manners later on, the fact neither of them knew anything about this girl and what she was capable of obviously not something at the forefront of Pyro’s mind.
OOC: Don’t skewer him please, Marina… LOL He can be such a ditz at times.
Re: "Daddy's" Little Girl
OOC: Hehe, I'll let him live...for now.

X-23 was becoming more and more uncomfortable with every moment that passed. "Oh hell no sister""You never tell a negro what music to listen to.". Say what?! What was a negro? Like X-23 had ANY idea what that was...hell, the most enthic person in the Weapon X compound was her, she was half-Asian and had Native American roots. That, on top of the fact that common verbal useage wasn't something they taught X-23...well they had themselves ANOTHER misunderstanding. "Not much of a rock fan myself" Deciding to ignore whatever he was talking about, she nodded. "I like rock." She said, firmly meaning the jagged stones outside that you could throw at people; unfortunately, her words just never came out correctly.
Finally, at least someone was listening to her wanting to see the person in charge here. "I believe the 'direct' would be the proper term for Karika, very to the point, am I right?" "To the point." She sneered, knowing those phrases from the Weapon X director himself. By some miracle the girl amoungst them seemed to understand, "Come on then,”"You coming, John?”
Karika's heart leapt as she started to step forward. But she was wary of the boys here...one used funny words and listened to bad music, and the other was using acrid wit that his sister obviously didn't like much. “Yeah, I think direct is a little understated,” “Oh, for goodness sake!” “Leave the girl alone!”“Hey, like, I don’t mean anything by it, just, yeah, well, you don’t say much, and when you do, it is straight to the point,”
"Yes, to the point." She said impatiently. It was imperative she saw someone around here...especially when her very life rested on them accepting her at this school. The Director here could help her read her file...he, or she, could help X-23 find her genetic 'father'. That's all she wanted...
Karika watched as the girl started to walk away. The one part of her told her to stay right here...she could easily fell Mez with one slice of her adamantium claws. The other, however, was telling her that she wasn't getting anywhere with these boys. In several seconds, she decided to follow. With careful steps she took off after Mana. "Director, now?" This time it was less a command and more a question...
Where were they going? And did she need to be on guard?
Pyro gave the mutant a sideways glance. “You have no idea what you are missing then,” he told him, a smirk on his face.
"Only rock I like is the classic kine, after Vanila Ice I sort of lost interest in the new stuff. I really do love the classics. But not everybody agrees with the choices of Tupac and Biggie." Mez said cocking his head back slightly.
“Yeah, I think direct is a little understated,” John piped up
"Oh you have absolutely NO idea" Mez said playfully, cracking a smirk at Karika, who had just recently had been prepared to impale him.
Mez looked around and said "Ain't Like I got much to do myself" He said, turning his from head from side-to-side. "Don't mind if I follow along too do you? I'd like to see the Head Honcho maself." Mez asked. Taking things as they came Mez followed after the group.
OOC: Guess this means that we continue it inside the Mansion...right?
Background: Many, many years ago, Charles Francis Xavier established Xavier's School for the Gifted. Also, seeing other Mutants misusing and abusing their powers, he created the first generation of the X-Men.This original team was trained and lead by an old friend of his...Logan, aka Wolverine. Logan's co-leader was a young woman and student named Ororo Munroe, aka Storm. Once the team was trained and fielded on active missions, they took on the additional responsibility of teaching and helping new Mutants deal with their powers. On one horrible night, the X-Men were fielded to stop a particularly powerful Mutant and his 'gang'. The 'intelligence' received on this Mutant and his cohorts was sketchy and actually turned out to be a set-up to entrap the X-Men and take them captive. In the ensuing melee', 'things' happened and a number of the team were killed outright or severely injured. After making sure his remaining team-mates were going to be okay, Logan left. Xavier has not, to current time, explained his absence or even whether or not he survived.Current Time/Game Time: Almost seven years later, as Human/Mutant incidents are on the rise, Xavier once again sees a need for a Mutant 'police force'. He sees this new X-Men team as a force for good and a way to help peacefully integrate the rapidly emerging Mutant society with the established Human society. To this end, he has contacted Logan and asked him to 'come home' and train his 'new' team.
Logan has reluctantly agreed. Can shadows from their past be put aside for the good of the new X-Men? How will the surviving members of the original team react and what will they do as 'truths' are learned about that disastrous night?Note: We want the new X-Men to include younger versions of the old familiar characters such as Scott, Jean, Beast etc...as well as many of the OCC’s and other Canon characters that are available. Please ask the Staff BEFORE stating or establishing that your character was one of the old, now disbanded, original X-Men.
