As the name indicates...this RPG will revolve around Crossroads and New Beginnings.CrossroadsWe would like to see characters come to a 'crossroads' in their lives where important and life changing decisions have to be made. These events can be very personal...i.e. a relationship beginning, ending or changing, or they can be moral or spiritual. Whatever is decided, they should show 'growth' for your character.New BeginningsThis can be any number of items as well and most likely will relate back to the 'crossroads' in your character(s)' life or lives and/or career. They may be starting a new career as teacher or student at Xavier's School for the Gifted or may have been selected to train for the upcoming X-Men team(s). Their 'new beginning' once again may be as simple as establishing a new relationship or changes in an old one.

China and Amara had been teleported by Kurt sometime ago and went off to the kitchen. But first, they caught their breath. It was only the second time they had been ported by Kurt and it didn't get easier.
With a sigh, the two girls moved off to the kitchen where they stopped, staring at the group there.
"Um..." Amara said.
"Right, might as well go in," China said. Amara nodded. The two entered. Amara went over to the frig and got some things for a sandwich, not saying anything.
She returned to where China had already found seats for them. They made themselves sandwiches. Amara put the 'leftovers' back in the frig while China looked around, eating her sandwich.
OOC: Writer's block lifted enough for me to post them. And now it's back. *sigh*

OOC: I am not going to try and have Jean (and Warren since he is behind her) get involved in current conversations etc. Not trying to be anti-social with them, just need an opportunity to read the posts more carefully. They are open for tags.Jean had spent several restless hours trying to sleep again after waking from her concussion. She and Warren both had been dismissed from the Med-lab and allowed to go their rooms. Jean had sat in Warren's room, comfortably curled up at the foot of his bed, to talk for quite awhile. Neither had been happy with their own performance on the 'cruise ship mission'.
Now, awake and more than slightly starved, Jean made her way down to the kitchen. There were a number of persons gathered there, some she knew and some she didn't. She settled for nodding politely to the new faces and smiling warmly at old friends.
Burrowing into the pantry, then the massive refrigerator, Jean gathered the makings for sandwiches. She was just leaning into the cooler, searching for soft drinks, when a voice behind her made her jump and bang her head on the top of the cooler.
"Hey, Legs, move your rear...a guy could starve to death waiting on you."
Jean turned to glare at Warren, "You know, War, the urge to make your brain leak out of your ears is almost overwhelming. The fact that there's probably not enough to bother exerting myself over, with this headache, is the only thing deterring me."
Re: Kitchen to Enclosed Patio / Tags: Open
At Jean's quick and snappish reply, the blond, winged Mutant threw back his head and laughed. There was nothing he enjoyed more than yanking the lovely red-head's chain.
Warren also noted the people gathered in the kitchen, nodding and smiling. He shifted the arm that still rested in a sling, taking the strain off his recently dislocated shoulder and easing the discomfort of a badly strained wing, before helping Jean gather the makings for their sandwiches.
With sandwiches and drinks in hand, Warren followed Jean out to the large, enclosed patio area. Settling in comfortable patio chairs beside one of the wrought iron and granite topped tables, they eschewed conversation in favor of eating.
"Feel better after your nap?" Warren questioned between bites and a gulp of his orange-cream soda.
Jean pushed thick, wavy, red hair back from her face. Chewing and swalling quickly, she shook her head, "Except for a nagging headache, I feel better physically. Just can't believe I did something so stupid and let Wolverine, Scott and the others down." Then she grinned, bottle green eyes flashing at Warren, "At least I didn't fly into the side of something as BIG as a freaking cruise ship. Jeez, War!"
Warren shrugged, then moaned slightly, "That's good, keep reminding me."
He chuckled then as both turned back to their meal.
Apartment/Skye//Tags John
Skye smiled over her shoulder as her very attentive husband dried off her back for her before moving to get dressed himself. She watched him change into his new clothing with a smirk on her lips. He was just so damned gorgeous..and he knew it too. Wrapping a towel around her slender body, Skye combed out and then quickly braided up the top half of her hair into a french braid, leaving it to hang loose from the nape of her neck to down her back.
"Im starving..cant imgaine why.." She replied to his question as she crossed to her armoire and pulled out a pair of hipslung flared jeans, slipping them on after a pair of lacy black panties. Swann found a black top with sheer black sleeves that fastened at the elbow and then fluttered loose. "Hey Babe...is it me...or are my boobs bigger? I dont remember this top being so..tight up top.." She said, shrugging as she slipped her feet into a pair of shoes.
Re: Kitchen to Enclosed Patio / Tags: Open
Jubilee stood at the kitchen counter, debating on fixing herself a sandwich. After a few minutes of thinking, she started pulling out turkey, cheese and miracle whip out of the fridge. Looking around, she found the white bread.
'Maybe Blink is around,' Jubilee thought to herself.
Re: Apartment/Pyro//Tags Skye
John moved to sit on the end of their bed, watching his girl come from the ensuite to the main part of the apartment, prettying herself up to face the others they were sure to come across today.
“Ya know, it doesn’t matter what you do,” he said, “You are absolutely beautiful all the time,” he got up to walk over to her, his smile now a grin.
Quote:"Hey Babe...is it me...or are my boobs bigger? I don’t remember this top being so…tight up top.." She said, shrugging as she slipped her feet into a pair of shoes.
John had to gape at that question, aa glint of mischief appearing in his eyes. “Well, Babe, you are pregnant, you know,” he said, still a little shocked at her sudden statement.
If they were getting bigger, in his eyes, that rocked, and the reason why they were getting bigger rocked even more. They were going to be parents! Finally, they were going to have a baby!
Re: Kitchen to Enclosed Patio / Tags: Open
Amara wasn't all that startled to see the number of people in the kitchen. She grabbed up some food and practically took off running. She was so hungry that even the people there in the kitchen looked good. But no, she wasn't going to think about that. Instead she was going to enjoy this food as she raced back to her room and its solitary. Solitary until China returned that is.
China was in the kitchen, gaze looking around at the people. There were those she knew and those she didn't.
When Jean and Warrington entered, her glance slid over to them, staring wanting to memorize their features while within her mind she was remembering their names.
She didn't say anything for a long while, but only stared for who knows how long.
Re: Kitchen/Psylocke/Tags: Amara, China, Mana?anyone else...
Mana had informed Betsy that she was so tired from all the training. ~Well... If they expect me to work myself to the point of unconsciousness, these people have another thing coming... Wot a bloody joke...~ she thought, hiding her true feelings.
"Sounds like you work pretty hard, Mana," she said politely. "I suppose that's why everyone here has absolutely no body fat," she quipped.
Quote:“I better head back down to the infirmary after this cuppa, I promised that kid who blew up the table that I would help him out,” Mana explained.
~Leaving already?~ Betsy wondered. ~Hope it wasn't my cooking...~ she worried silently, a smile plastered on her face the whole time.
"Oh, sure... Guess I'll be seeing you later. Bye, then; and, nice to have met you," Betsy said to the quickly departing Mana.
Then, two more young women entered the kitchen. They helped themselves to the leftover tuna salad - or, so it looked like. Strangely, neither of them addressed Betsy (who was a newcomer...). ~They don't think it odd that there's a strange British woman in their home?~ she wondered silently as she finished her own sandwich.
She decided that she was sick of eating in silence. Betsy cleared her throat and looked to the two girls nearby. "Uhh... 'Ello?"
Re: Kitchen/Deadpool poking around(Open tags)
Wade poked around in the kitchen, noting the massive amounts of food. 'This is the best s#!+ job I've ever taken!' Wade thought as he threw an everything-including-the-kitchen-sink sandwich together. 'I gotta take cushy jobs like this more often' he thought as he took a massive bite out of his 'culinary creation'. 'If my employer is thinking about sending his kid or something here, I gotta see if I can come along. Me and Weasel don't have this much food in our apartment that's still good,' he continued mentally, taking pictures as soon as he finished his gi-normous sandwich. 'Wonder what else there is to do in here?'
Re: Kitchen/Deadpool poking around(Open tags)
Jubilee noticed this newcomer. She was just about to introduce herself when she noticed that he didn't put anything away.
"Hey! You need to put this food up."
"Ga damn!" Mez said to himself in his own mind, noting the beautiful women in the kitchen.
Mez mentally shook away any hints of shock. Focusing himself he found his way to the fridge. Noticing the rather obscene way someone in the kitchen swallowed his humangous sandwich as quickly as possible. Before Mez could get a good look at him he left as quickly as he arrived. Odd, Mez thought to himself. "Are people always in such a rush?" He asked outloud, the question kind of left open. "Sorry my name's Gabrielle James, but please call me Mez" He said with a smile.
Mez was dressed in a garrison cover. Unlike the Barracks cover which had a bill and a round top the Garrison cover had a peak, the front boasting the Eagle, Globe and Anchor of the Marine Corps. Dressed in his Service "Alpha" Uniform althought he shouldn't have Mez took a seat. The young man unbuttoned his long-sleeve jacket to get some air.
"Sorry it just feels a little hot in here. You making anything in particular?" He asked, the gorgeous woman with purple hair.
OOC: The Service Alpha Uniform is the equivalent of a business attire for Marines. It comes in a short and long-sleeve version. The long-version having a khaki jacket and olive green trousers. The long-sleeve version bearing a windsor-double knotted tie and or the Barracks or Garrison Cover. The Officer insignia is located at the collar of the service uniform.

Re: Kitchen/Psylocke/Tags: Amara, China, Mana?anyone else...
Tanya wandered into the kitchen and remained silent as stone. She preferred the silence to the chatter. The mindless bable reminded her too much of her classmates. Tanya resisted the urge to "freeze" the kitchen in a pocket of time, however she didn't want to waste her power use for the day.
Tanya made herself a simple peanut butter and jelly sandwhich on rye. She shot a death glare to the room and large, and then proceeded to eat her sandwhich. While having a death glare might not be a mutant power, Tanya had perfected it to an art form.
Tanya's body remained standing as she ate. It was more of a matter of buisness than anything else. After finishing her sandwhich she dug in the fridge for a Pepsi. Tanya almost swore as she found she was out of her stimulant of choice.
Re: Kitchen/Psylocke/Tags: Amara, China, Mana?anyone else...
Wade looked at the kid telling him what to do and almost pulled his silenced Berreta out before realizing that killing or even maiming one of the kids would not be a good thing, especially if there're kids here who can explode. "Uhm, oh, right, that mess," he said, slipping the camera into his pocket. "I'll just, ah, put all of that away right quick," Wade said as he moved over to the counter, walking around all of the recent new arrivals. 'Gonna have to shake this kid,' He thought, slipping around more recent arrivals.
Re: Kitchen/Psylocke/Tags: Amara, China, Mana?anyone else...
Amara glanced at the people, those in the kitchen and those enteriing. A brow rose at that.
Quote:She decided that she was sick of eating in silence. Betsy cleared her throat and looked to the two girls nearby. "Uhh... 'Ello?"
It was Amara who really noticed Betsy and grinned broadly,
"Oh hey there! How's it going? My name's Amara Crestmere, pleased to meet you." she said.
China glanced around, eyes widening at the now growing group in the kitchen. She saw Betsy and lowered her eyes,
"Hi." she said softly, her sandwich still in her hands, practically being crushed into crumbs.
Amara giggled at China's discomfort,
"Don't worry about China here. She tends to be a bit shy around new folks."
Her glance took in the guys there and her eyes drooped.
Re: Kitchen/Psylocke/Tags: Amara, China, Mana, Mez
Mez noticed the change in demeanor of one of the young women in room. Not before noticing the sudden hand movement of another man in the Kitchen. Mez wondered what he was doing but his senses brought himself to watch him a little bit more carefully.
Turning back to the people at hand. "No need to feel shy, we're a bunch a kind-hearted folk around here, aren't we" He said with a smile hoping to change the drooping look on the girl's face. "I'm Mez, I'm pretty new here, how about you?" He asked politely.
Re: Kitchen/Psylocke/Tags: Amara, China, Mana, Mez
Tanya focused for a moment and successfully resisted the urge to suspend the flow of time. She would need her power later, or at least that's what she kept on telling herself. Honestly she didn't like the taxing of her powers and she didn't want to short out the fridge. However Tanya was still armed with her sarcasm and would make whatever use of it she could.
"You know," Tanya said in a voice loud enough to be heard, but not loud enough to be obnoxious, "some of us are trying to eat, and as such would prefer not to have our food altered by hormones."
Re: Kitchen/Psylocke/Tags: Amara, China, Mana, Mez
Mez's normally happy frame of mind became slightly disturbed by a comment. It was last thing he thought would happen. Her voice borderlining on an insult.
"I'm sure that most people would, seems to me that it already has an effect on you" Mez said shrugging of the girl's sarcasm with a slight smirk. "Would you like anything to drink with your hormone sandwich there miss?" Mez said quickly trying to forget the comment.
"But if your interested in some non- hormone infected food I'll be glad to show some" Mez said taking off his jacket and rolling up his sleeves.
Mez found a small radio and went back to his bag. Taking out
a CD he popped it into the radio. "You ever here of Talib Kwali? The boy ain't half bad." Mez said as the music to "I try" with Mary J. Blige turned on. "Oh, yeah, I don't care what anybody says a song with Mary J. Blige in it is definitely good." He said happily.
Mez walked to the sink and thoroughly cleaned his hands.
"Let's see." Mez said prodding through the refrigerator. Picking out tomatoes, raw salmon, green onions, and took some crushed ice. He brought out a cutting board, a bowl filled with the crushed ice and a knife. "Just my luck huh? Salmon don't need to be thawed. I don't know if you ladies ever been to Hawaii, but this here is Lomi-salmon. 'lomi' means 'to massage' in Hawaiian, that's why if you go to the Hale Kulani or anyother top-notch hotel they offer lomi-lomi to the guests." Mez said dicing up the salmon and green-onions.
"Contrary to what some people believe, you can eat fish raw, Japanese been doing for a while and so have the Hawaiians." Mez said quickly finishing with the salmon and green onions and moving on to the tomatoes. "Now bein that my mama's Okinawan a lot of Okinawans live to be a 100 years old" He said continuing speaking as he worked on the food.
"Thats because of healthy diet of fish, meat, veggies and the like." Mez said finishing dicing the tomatoes. Mez put the diced ingredients in the bowl. "My mama always said that anything red is good for you...and thats what Lomi-salmon looks like the salmon is red and so is the tomatoes, spiritually red is an important color for the Hawaiians because kumu a red fish was often offered to the Gods." Mez stopped and added salt into the mix and began to "massage" the ingredients together.
"I would prefer to make Kalua pig but I doubt there's an Imu lying around out-back. Plus it'd be long time before it was finished but I suppose that the taste is well-worth the effort." He said with a smile. "An Imu is an underground oven, 'Kalua' means almost literally 'to cook underground'. Reason why its called Kalue Pig. Takes a bit of time to make but that slow-cooked quality can't be beat, mama always said you put the effort into somethin you get the reward later." He said continuing to mix the ingredients.
"Seems that one day which also happened to be sister's 16th birthday, one guy that I happened to dislike with the utmost intensity myself, had put a substantial amount of effort into a relationship with my sister and was trying to reap the reward." Mez said jokingly. "My mother stapled her dress shut." He said with a half-smile. "My mother gave my siblings and I the treat of eating all the food she made but...there was a catch, we would have to clean up the dishes." He said breaking out into a chuckle.
"Don't get me wrong my mother could cook like nobody's business but the smell...hui!" Mez said laughing. "Stuff stunk all the way to high heaven and back down again".
After a while Mez was finally finished and cleaned off his hands. Taking the bowl Mez got a large wooden spoon and several table spoons, several medium-sized bowls and smaller bowls. "Here, you can try some, I believe its good, you can trust me, I mean...I know I didn't put any hormones in there." Mez said checking the large-bowl.
"If you are feeling particulary bold on this fine day you can try...some poi" Mez said reaching into his bag. "Its an acquired taste but after while you can enjoy." Mez said opening the bag up and pouring a small amount in a small little bowl. Mez took the large-spoon and took some Lomi-salmon out. "Where's my water bottle?" He said almost talking to himself.
"Ah" he said taking out his large water bottle and taking a long-drink. Mez took a spoon-full of lomi-salmon using one-hand to keep his tie out of the way. "Any stories to tell? Ain't much shame here, for anyone we're in the same boat together, like the song says...life is a beautiful struggle" He said kindly with a toothy smile.
OOC:
Lyrics to "I try"
Try (featuring Mary J. Blige)
[Talib Kweli]
Yeah, yeah
New Talib Kweli
Yeah, you know what it is
Come on, come on, yeah
Hey yo *repeats*
[Hook: Mary J. Blige]
I try, I try (that's all we can do)
I try, you know I try
I try, I try (yeah)
I try, you know I try
[Verse 1: Talib Kweli]
K. West! Kweli!
Got searched on the plane, Arabic first name
Disturbed by the fame just like Kurt Cobain
Breath of life, kiss of death, my lips pursed the same
You flirt 'til she came
Nothin' hurt like the pain and torture
Daughters of the dust lookin' for a vein
Something to take in vain like the Lord's name
Put your hands together, got 'em all sayin'
[Hook: Mary J. Blige]
I try, I try
I try, you know I try
I try, I try
I try, you know I try
[Verse 2: Talib Kweli]
Yo, it's all ghetto in gear higher, the floor settle
More metal for beef that we don't let the law settle
I try to navigate the treacherous waters of
America's ghettos that set up the slaughteres
But there's more of us
Although we speak in different languages
We all pretty familiar with what anger is
Young and dangerous, ??
Get up on some gangsta shit
Guns to bang ya wit'
And we put it on records to entertain ya wit'
I'm grown with pains way deeper than my receivers
Our uniforms is white sneakers and white T-shirts
On top of wife beaters
We like to light reefers
The 'hood need us for rappers, just ain't the right leaders
I put a lot into it
This is my product and I gotta move it
Stop the industry but you can't stop the music
[Interlude: Mary J. Blige]
An upside down kingdom where life is just not fair (upside down kingdom)
Some many sufferin' cuz deep inside they're scared (so scared)
Fear pumped into their veins to keep them from their destiny
Where would they be if you and I don't care?
[Hook: Mary J. Blige]
I try, I try, you know I try
I try, I try, I try, you know I try
[Verse 3: Talib Kweli]
Yo, the things I'm seein' on the news is insane
A stock broker shoot his kid and throw himself in front of a train
A mother leave her baby home for two weeks all by himself
Three years old, eatin' ketchup and mustard, cryin for help
Tryin' to bring your struggle to life
The label want a song about a bubbly life
I have trouble tryin' to write some shit
To BANG in the club through the night
When people suffer tonight
Lord knows I try
[Hook: Mary J. Blige]
I try, I try, I try, you know I try
I try, I try, I try, you know I try
[Interlude: Talib Kweli]
Life is a beautiful struggle
People search through the rubble for a suitable hustle
Some people usin' the noodle, some people usin' the muscle
Some people put it all together, make it fit like a puzzle
Come on, say it now
Life is a beautiful struggle
People search through the rubble for a suitable hustle
Some people usin' the noodle, some people usin' the muscle
Some people put it all together, yeah
[Outro: Mary J. Blige]
I try, I try, you know I try
I try, oh Lord I try
Everyday I
[Mary J. Bliges harmonizes with the beat]
Upside down kingdom
Oh, they're so scared
Everyday on the news we can't look around with
something somewhere
I try, I try, you know I try
I try, I try, I try, you know I try
Lord knows, Lord knows we try
Yeah
Re: Kitchen/Psylocke/Tags: Amara, China, Mana, Mez
Behind her glasses. Tanya's eyes narrowed. It wasn't a good sign. The temptation to 'freeze' became almost overwhelming. Tanya however did not want issues with her respiratory system this week, and as such closed her eyes, inhaled, exhaled, and then opened her eyes again. Still Tanya's mind, not of her will had begun looking for the flaw in the time-stream to manipulate. Forcing a flaw and thus stalling time was harder than manipulating an already existing flaw.
Quote:"Oh, yeah, I don't care what anybody says a song with Mary J. Blige in it is definitely good."
Tanya was possibly one of the few people in the room who really didn't care that much for Ms. Blige, Tanya had been over exposed in her dance classes to appreciate the sounds of that particular artist.
Quote:"Contrary to what some people believe, you can eat fish raw, Japanese been doing for a while and so have the Hawaiians."
"Perhaps the raw fish is what enables the Japenese to live so long," Tanya stated. She had decided to fight back with words and utilize some of her knowledge in this fight, stalling time was always a last resort for Tanya. "Or perhaps its the fact that Americans pump their food full of hormones that leads to our premature demise."
Quote:"Here, you can try some, I believe its good, you can trust me, I mean...I know I didn't put any hormones in there."
"I trust you as far as I can throw you, and given that you're most likely heavier than I am, that isn't far at all. Now if you'll excuse me, I have work to do," Tanya said, her eyes still narrow behind her glasses.
Enclosed Patio / Kitchen / Tags: Open
Jean finished her sandwich, taking her time and enjoying Warren's company. She and Warren were comfortable enough as friends that there were no uncomfortable silences in their desultory conversation.
She glanced at the crowd in the kitchen from her seat in the enclosed patio area. Narrowing her bottle green eyes as she spotted someone she didn't recognize, Jean started to mentally 'scan' the area. However, her low grade headache spiked as she tapped her powers. Remembering the doctor's orders to not exert her psionic powers, she subsided.
Warren's wings fluttered, "What's up?" He followed her gaze, turquoise eyes scanning the crowd in the kitchen.
"Nothing. My imagination." Jean turned her attention back to Warren. "Wonder how the mission is going?" She asked out loud, while her thoughts wondered specifically how their friends were instead.
Warren sighed, "We can only hope everyone is okay." Like Jean, he was worried, but there was little they could other than wait for news. The Professor was too busy for them to risk disturbing him at the moment.
Re: Kitchen/Psylocke/Tags: Amara, China, Mana, Mez
Mez was coming under the growing impression that this young woman didn't like him. Mez was least expecting this kind of hostility in a place like this.
Mez kept his happy demeanor the young woman's attitude doing little to affect his aloha spirit. Her words fell on deaf ears to him. Her constant sarcasm and nit-picking at everything he said, just made him think more and more less of her. Obviously this girl wasn't concerned about making friends.
"Normally I care know the name of the person that seems to like to constantly nit-pick at the smallest detail." Mez said. "My mother taught to show respect, even to strangers, what did you mother teach you?" Mez said. "Apparently it wasn't much in the way of manners." He continued.
Quote:"Perhaps the raw fish is what enables the Japenese to live so long," Tanya stated. She had decided to fight back with words and utilize some of her knowledge in this fight, stalling time was always a last resort for Tanya. "Or perhaps its the fact that Americans pump their food full of hormones that leads to our premature demise."
"On the contrary. Americans and europeans diets are involve a lot of protein, like milk and meat, in Asia, starches, breads, and other food groups have more prevalence." The young man said. "And you don't maintain a healthy long life by just eating one thing, its about moderation and variety." The young lieutenant said taking a few spoon-fuls of Lomi-salmon.
"If you've ever looked on CNN and seen those children on TV, whose bodies are so thin that there ribs stick out, you'll know that food is appreciated. Perhaps the reason for Americans dying at earlier ages is an unhealthy life-style and eating too much. Believe me I know...I used to be one of those kids. And I don't have much respect for those people that weigh 400 pounds when there are people right now starving." He said almost flatly.
"I think miss that if everyone had your attitude then all of us would be dead, the same 'I don't care' attitude, because you should being a mutant. You seem to forget the situation outside this mansion, there are people that want to kill us." Mez calmly.
"This is the equivalent of the Garden of Eden, at least for me...because I've never had a place where I belonged, but you seem to have no sanctuary, even here."
Quote:I trust you as far as I can throw you, and given that you're most likely heavier than I am, that isn't far at all. Now if you'll excuse me, I have work to do," Tanya said, her eyes still narrow behind her glasses.
"Being that I can liquidate myself you probably could throw me pretty far." Mez said in calm friendly voice. "Appreciate the things you have because there is two types of things in this world. There are things you earn and things that are given to you. Things that are given to you can be taken away, but things you earn will always be with you. Did you earn your way or was you path given to you...But go on back to your work because if this is the way you act don't bother me netiher. " Mez said eating his Lomi-salmon.
Mez wanted to find something easier to talk about but this crowd clearly wasn't the most friendly. Mez wasn't bothered by the girl's behavior, pilau was pilau, they weren't worth the effort.
Mez looked at the purple-haired woman and tried to change the almost bitter mood that was started earlier. "You know, if I could have the choice of my power it would probably be fire..." Mez said with a smile, even though he was fibbing. "Because I love to cook, it would be just great to be able to just cook food instantly and whamo Kalua-pig, chicken-katsu just all done, crisp just as it should be." He said leaning back.
"But from my understanding that when you make plans God is known to laugh." He said. "Instead I was blessed with the gift of water, which makes a lot of since actually, I spent most of life near the ocean, even was born close to it. There's a lot of it surrounding Oahu." He said laughing slightly. "Friends used to call me half-fish because I was usually found anytime I could by the ocean doing somthing." Mez said, getting another half-bowl full of lomi-salmon.

Background: Many, many years ago, Charles Francis Xavier established Xavier's School for the Gifted. Also, seeing other Mutants misusing and abusing their powers, he created the first generation of the X-Men.This original team was trained and lead by an old friend of his...Logan, aka Wolverine. Logan's co-leader was a young woman and student named Ororo Munroe, aka Storm. Once the team was trained and fielded on active missions, they took on the additional responsibility of teaching and helping new Mutants deal with their powers. On one horrible night, the X-Men were fielded to stop a particularly powerful Mutant and his 'gang'. The 'intelligence' received on this Mutant and his cohorts was sketchy and actually turned out to be a set-up to entrap the X-Men and take them captive. In the ensuing melee', 'things' happened and a number of the team were killed outright or severely injured. After making sure his remaining team-mates were going to be okay, Logan left. Xavier has not, to current time, explained his absence or even whether or not he survived.Current Time/Game Time: Almost seven years later, as Human/Mutant incidents are on the rise, Xavier once again sees a need for a Mutant 'police force'. He sees this new X-Men team as a force for good and a way to help peacefully integrate the rapidly emerging Mutant society with the established Human society. To this end, he has contacted Logan and asked him to 'come home' and train his 'new' team.
Logan has reluctantly agreed. Can shadows from their past be put aside for the good of the new X-Men? How will the surviving members of the original team react and what will they do as 'truths' are learned about that disastrous night?Note: We want the new X-Men to include younger versions of the old familiar characters such as Scott, Jean, Beast etc...as well as many of the OCC’s and other Canon characters that are available. Please ask the Staff BEFORE stating or establishing that your character was one of the old, now disbanded, original X-Men.
