As the name indicates...this RPG will revolve around Crossroads and New Beginnings.CrossroadsWe would like to see characters come to a 'crossroads' in their lives where important and life changing decisions have to be made. These events can be very personal...i.e. a relationship beginning, ending or changing, or they can be moral or spiritual. Whatever is decided, they should show 'growth' for your character.New BeginningsThis can be any number of items as well and most likely will relate back to the 'crossroads' in your character(s)' life or lives and/or career. They may be starting a new career as teacher or student at Xavier's School for the Gifted or may have been selected to train for the upcoming X-Men team(s). Their 'new beginning' once again may be as simple as establishing a new relationship or changes in an old one.

"This is Nightcrawler to Wolverine, Nightcrawler calling Wolverine, over."
Kurt listened for what sounded like a grunt with overtones of "GET ON WITH IT ELF!" He couldn't help it, but getting to play secret agent always made him more than a bit hyper.
"Relayed via mindlink with Evo, Cyclops confirms mystery man Nemesis is known to him as Gyrich and is likely Delta Force -"
"Did I really just say that? Maybe he's really Patrick McGoohan in disguise. Oh!" he uttered, remembering finally the mike was still open.
"Cyclops met him in in Salem Center yesterday. Oh! And Evo is a God with the sensors, we've got everything now, even Satellites! And I've figured out how to work the escape pods!"
"Oooh! Shuttlecraft!" he said in an eager, whispered aside.
"Over!" he shouted, and clicked the microphone off.
"He is soo going to kill me..." he sighed, then just as quickly returned to studying the rest of the ship's craft.

Wanda heard Gambit's voice and turned to look at him. There was a sort of look in her eyes that could be negatively consqued(sp?).
"Yeah, whatever. I'm going no where....yet. Why?" she asked and the question was sort of harsh in the asking.
She turned away from Gambit again, still wondering where she could get off this island. She had things to do after all. And one of them was dealing with one Magneto. Her vengeance was close now. She could feel it.
Karina:
Karina smiled at Gambit's voice. It was nice to see that he was doing better, in her opinion.
"So, when are we leaving this island, Gambit?" she asked.
Re: Whale: Storm Bridge/Scott/ Tag: Logan, Gyrich, Evo
OOC: Bear with me, been out of the loop a bit. If this doesn't work, feel free to change it.
Ever since the explosion and the exchanged words with Logan, Storm had lost the crew. Wandering around the bridge she had heard voices and went on alert.
One she knew right off as she rounded the corner, the sight of him just confirmed her thoughts.
She walked up behind the guys, hands in plain sight as to not show a threat to the other man. "Whats going on?" she asked, turning to Scott.
Re: Whale: Storm Bridge/Tags: Logan, Scott
((For sake of convenience if its OK with everyone, let's assume she's been in the head on the control deck, recovering from her exertion while taking care of stuff. While she was in there she's heard the chromatic heavy-metal whoormphh of the shields being activated, heard gunshots, and then also heard diving claxons. There have also been muffled voices, mostly Wolverines))
Re: Gambit/Thera Island/Same Day
Okay, those with Gambit (Wanda/Latrina/Karina/etc), I am starting up a JP in the Player to Player forum, so we can get this part of the plot wrapped up, plus be able to enjoy a longer post when it is finally done. All of you should have Mod privileges in this forum, so you should be able to add in your replies to the same post, if not, simply post a new reply, and I will add them in for you.
Re: Whale: Storm Bridge/Scott/ Tag: Logan, Gyrich, Evo
~ Thera Island ~
People in various emotional states poked and prodded each other accidentally, or waited outside but still within earshot. There seemed to be no organization at all to the rescue effort, besides the one or two soldiers who had waved them away from the helicopters. Across a chain link fence which was separated from the terminal by a parking lot and scruffy field of grass, a couple dozen bored island residents looked on, some holding out bottles of water and other small items for the evacuees while a few busied themselves with video cameras. Some of them were pointing with fingers swooping in the air at a rocky outcropping on the southern end of the island, while one, talking to another nearby, held his arms out wide in a sweeping upwards motion as far out as possible, as if he were describing something large and round.
At the far end of the runway stood a line of commuter planes, each holding somewhere around 20 to 50 passengers. One of the planes could be seen approaching the terminal, at the front of which a throng of people had gathered with some animation. Someone at the front could be heard saying something in a loud voice about planes and travel vouchers but there was too much side noise to make her out distinctly.
The TV tuned to CNN continued blaring, but there were now competing conversations as other TV sets and radios were turned on as the assembled evacuees scrambled for news or just began talking with each other.
"in a stunning move wealthy businessman Frederico Kodaris has chartered..."
"Jane, have authorities come any closer to identifying the terrorists? As you know a press exclusion zone has been set up surrounding the Olympia and we've only been able to view the events from a distance."
"Tell me about Thera island. Our researchers have googled over it and found some interesting stuff about its history and geology, but nothing current -"
"What do you mean you saw three large balls flying in the air?" A woman's voice asked, nearby.
"The local word in Greece is this is being viewed as a publicity stunt. Kodaris is a member of the far right Hellenic Front party and this may be a move to gain popular support in the Vouli ton Ellinon - that's what the Greeks call their parliment - for the 2009 elections"
"...We've been hearing troubling news that the mutant terrorist Magneto may have been involved but Greek authorities have been unable to rule out the terrorist group 17 November. We're trying to get in touch with people on the island by calling cellphones. If you know someone who lives on the island or who was a passenger on the Olympia please give us their phone number by calling 1-877-..."
"Why wouldn't you want the evacuees just to go on their way once they're off the ship? After all they've been through a hard enough time as it is..."
"The Greeks are known for their hospitality, I have no doubt that some of those evacuees will be staying in people's homes tonight."
"It was right over there, Mom, I saw them flying to that area over there by the shore," said a teenage voice.
"...so let me get this right, Kodaris is offering the evacuees free passage just as a private citizen. Wolf, the authorities can't be too happy about this..."
"Here we have a helicopter view of the Thera airport, we've been kept some distance away from the location but you can clearly see a line of planes"
"Well, Jane, in these situations authorities usually would want to keep people together long enough to document what has been going on, and make sure any surviving terrorists aren't trying to blend in with everyone else and escape."
"The island was used by the Germans in World War Two as a submarine base, up until 1943 when -"
"Well, the U.S. officials I have spoken too are none too pleased with this turn of events if indeed it is true, but there's nothing they can do this is a local -"
"Oh, I think he's just hungry and imaging things he's been through quite a fright! Come on, let's find some food," a man's voice interjected.
A man was speaking excitedly in Greek some 20 feet away. For a moment he held his arms out wide as if encompassing a huge beachball and then his arms waved about in a zooming motion to the south.
"Excuse me, would you like some ice water, you look thirsty" a young olive-complexioned medical aid said, holding up several bottles of chilled water. It was evident she was making the rounds. ((Open tag for anyone who wants to take it up or you can just NPC taking the water))
Re: Whale: Control/Crow/ Tag Evo, Kurt, Chamber
Chamber had made his way below when things really started. His head jerked up at the sounds, hoping the others were doing okay. But he kept moving. He needed to get below before things really hit the fan, so to speak.
His steps took him in to a 'room' where he saw the strange girl from earlier already there. He didn't say anything, mentally or otherwise. but his glances showed plainly, wondering what she was doing.
OOC: This was all I could get out. Lemme know if it works.
Re: Whale: Storm Bridge/Logan/Tag: Kurt Scott,Gyrich, maybe
(All words in bold italics are from Kurt's previous post. I included them here as it makes Logan's response to the broken up pauses in transmission make sense... *grins* )
"This is Nightcrawler to Wolverine, Nightcrawler calling Wolverine, over."
On the storm bridge above him, Logan had just given Scott a curious look when his acute hearing picked up a transmission coming through a radio headset lying on the console. He reached for his own radio and found it missing and a quick look around showed it lying on the floor where he'd fallen earlier. He threw a wary glance at the large man in front of him and chose not to turn his back in order to pick it up. Instead he reached behind him and snagged the radio and headset that sat nearby. Opting to don the headset, he winced visibly as Kurt's squeaky and excited voice drilled his sensitive eardrums.
Kurt listened for what sounded like a grunt with overtones of "GET ON WITH IT ELF!"
Logan grunted loudly as he positioned the microphone in proper position for a response and growled, "Get on with it, Elf!"
Wolverine made note of the information, including that the information had been relayed triangularly in order to get to him covertly, originating from a man standing a mere ten feet from him. Logan raised his eyes to meet Scott's gaze, now re-thinking his decision to not take part in the mind-link, then his eyes moved back to Gyrich, the name echoing deep in his memories somewhere.
Wolverine made another mental note of the information that Summers had run into Nemesis the day before, before there was a barrage of other non-related information flowing through the ear piece. He scowled in dismay as he sorted out the imminently important information from the other imminently important information... then rolled his eyes with a slight sigh at the uttered exclaimation before the sudden ending of transmission. His brows scrunched up in an almost comical scowl... he liked the blue, fuzzy demon-like mutant, but his hyperactive mind and motion eluded Wolverine's sense of fun. After a brief pause to make sure the shouted "Over" was actually the end of the transmission, Wolverine replied calmly and somewhat quietly.
"Roger that, Elf... satellites and sensors are up and escape pods are accessed and available." His eyes were glued to Summers' as if relaying that specific information aloud for him. He kept his voice lowered but not out of earshot of Nemesis-now-possibly-Gyrich to see if the man, and all his previous offers, would see an opportunity to step up... or let his words and offer of assistance to fall to the wayside.
When he realized he hadn't ended his transmission, he blinked and simply said, "Out", into the tiny mike then gave a tiny undetectable shake of his head; still trying to wrap his mind around the kid's enthusiasm for ... well, everything.
"He is soo going to kill me..." he sighed, then just as quickly returned to studying the rest of the ship's craft.

Re: Whale: Storm Bridge/Scott/ Tag: Logan, Gyrich, Evo
After getting as much as he could on how to control the ship in submarine mode, Evan had glancedover at Cyclops, and begun to study how to control the vehicle in the air. He hoped that between himself and Cyclops, they could make enough sense of the tutorial and the situation that the submarine could surface out of sight of the SEALs and then take to the air to get them home, since Westchester wasn't a coastal town.
Gyrich absorbed the information, as he had no doubt he was intended to do, though he took it with a grain of salt. For a group that had claimed no prior alliance with Magneto, they sure seemed to be awfully handy at operating the mutant terrorist's ship.
Wolverine was looking at him expectantly, and Gyrich arched a questioning eyebrow in reply. "You still haven't told me where you intend to go," he reminded the stocky mutant patiently.
Re: Gambit/Thera Island/Same Day
Evan deliberately turned in his seat to face Cyclops as he smiled at the results of his studies. ~Hey, Cyclops, got a detination in mind? Once I know where we're going, I can get us there, even if it's in orbit. In the meantime, I'm gonna go back to security on this thing. I didn't quite finish tha since we wanted to get us out of here.~ Then, he turned back to the controls and tutorial.
Whale: OOC NoteOOC: Just a quick note -- unless I've missed a pose moving Cyke, Logan, Gyrich, and Storm, they're all still up in the Storm Bridge and not visible to anybody in the Control Room.
Re: Whale: Control/Crow/ Tag Evo, Kurt, ChamberOOC: Sorry about the huge delay.
One of Crow’s ears swiveled sideways to listen in on Nightcrawler, while the other flicked backward to track the newcomer. Any watchers would have seen that her gaze remained on the controls in front of her, eyes moving back and forth ever so slightly as she read. Out of her peripheral vision, however, she kept a close watch on the others. For all her apparent ease, she didn’t really trust anyone on board. Sure, she had helped them, and it was possible she would again, but they weren’t quite on the same side. And while most of the team didn’t seem to mind her presence, Wolverine was in charge. That left the possibility of…something unpleasant.
As Nightcrawler finished his relay, Crow finally looked up. She opened her mouth for a second, as if to tell him more, but quickly closed it.No. If they wanted more information on Gyrich, they would have to get it themselves. Although she doubted the man could make good on his earlier threat—hunting down a shapeshifter was very difficult—there was no point in testing her luck any further. Suddenly recalling how she had gotten the information on Gyrich herself, Miri glanced down to her pack. It was very possible she would have to be separated from it, leaving all the information in Kurt’s Palm Pilot behind. Sooner or later, someone would search the backpack, and find the PDA.
Crow hated sharing information.
Stooping to the pack, Miri rummaged through one of the smaller pockets until she found Kurt’s “lost” Pilot. She returned to her seat, prize in hand, and began to go about the task of deletion. Loosing the information didn’t pain her too much—like everything else on the device, it had already sent itself to her own computer. All she needed to do now was get back to New York in one piece to see it. How hard could that be?

Re: Whale: Storm Bridge/Logan/Tag: Kurt Scott,Gyrich, maybe Wolverine was looking at him expectantly, and Gyrich arched a questioning eyebrow in reply. "You still haven't told me where you intend to go," he reminded the stocky mutant patiently.
"Well, first things first," Wolverine began, "I figure that island sittin' about three miles away is where yer people took my people an' I want 'em back. So that'd be the first stop... unless you got a different idea. Once I got all my people together, we're headin' home... one way or the other."
Wolverine continued to stare at Gyrich tryin' to place him. As he waited for the man's response, his eyes slid to Cyclops now and again.
"So....if we try to move this bucket are yer boys gonna try to blow us outta the water?" he asked.
Re: Whale: Storm Bridge/Storm/Tag: Gyrich, any?
Storm couldn't help but grin at Logans comment, but he was right. They needed to get the rest of the crew and get home. She knew the professor would be worried about them.
Crossing her arms she slid her blue eyes towards the island in question and then back to the man in front of them, "You can work with us. Help us. We're not all bad. Some of us use our gifts for the wrong reasons, we, on the other hand use them to help people and it is because of the bad ones, we get a bad reputation." she finished.
Looking at Gyrich, she arched a brow, "Then again I assume that can be the same in ANY profession. Am I correct sir?"
Tag: Gyrich, any
Whale: Storm Bridge/Gyrich/Tag: Logan, Storm, Cyke"So....if we try to move this bucket are yer boys gonna try to blow us outta the water?" [Wolverine] asked.
"You can work with us. Help us. We're not all bad. Some of us use our gifts for the wrong reasons, we, on the other hand use them to help people and it is because of the bad ones, we get a bad reputation." [Storm]finished.
Looking at Gyrich, she arched a brow, "Then again I assume that can be the same in ANY profession. Am I correct sir?"
Gyrich didn't answer either at first, silent for a long moment as he studied all three mutants. The dynamics among them were odd. Wolverine, one of the original X-Men was clearly in charge, Cyclops deferring to him. But it was the younger man that Storm, Wolverine's teammate, had gone directly to. And Wolverine had spoken in the singular -- 'my' and 'I' rather than 'our' and 'we'. So perhaps 'teammate' wasn't the right word. Or even 'team.'
Filing the observations and speculation away for future reference, Gyrich said dryly, "Mutation as occupation, hmm?" Then he flicked his gaze toward Wolverine.
"I'll need my radio," he said. "And we'll have to surface."
OOC: Science factoid (one of the few I possess) -- radios don't work through water, hence why subs and sub-hunters use sonar rather than radar.
Re: Gambit/Thera Island/Same Day
Scott was closest. Taking a step to one side, he bent down and extracted the radio from the pile of Nemesis' gear that had been stacked out of the way under a console. He could feel the big commando's eyes on him as he moved. Straightening again, Cyclops held the small device in his hand and looked to Wolverine for the word.
Re: Whale: Storm Bridge/ Tags Cyclops, Gyrich
Logan watched quietly as Scott went to the piled up stack of gear and removed Nemesis' radio from its pouch. Their eyes met as Cyclops waited for a nod from Wolverine. Before deciding to give it, he needed to know something first.
"Can you surface the ship? Nightcrawler mentioned sensors, satellites and escape pods but from the jolt I felt earlier I get the impression we're not up to snuff on the moving of this beast."
Knowing, as Gyrich did, that he couldn't transmit over the radio until they did actually surface he nodded to Summers to hand it over.
"While he an' the others are gettin' prepared to surface... whatdya' plan on sayin' when we do?" he asked Nemesis, curious as to how he was planning to take them through the gauntlet of armed military fighters.
Re: JP - Part 1/Thera Island/Same Day
OOC: Please note, this is a JP between Gambit, Wanda, Karine, Latrina, & her mother.
Quote:"Yeah, whatever. I'm going no where....yet. Why?" she asked and the question was sort of harsh in the asking.
The Southerner just looked at the Scarlet Witch, that look in her eyes not something he liked one little bit. He knew she was Magneto’s daughter, yet, he didn’t know if Wanda realised that he was well aware of their connection.
“Yo’ be eith’r angry cos o’ de fact yo’ now be cut o’f from goin’ wit’ Magneto, or yo’ be angry cos yo’ can’ be seekin’ some sorto’ revenge on him,” Gambit simply stated, not really expecting an answer.
Quote:"So, when are we leaving this island, Gambit?" she asked.
Karina’s question was met with a non-committal stare. He really didn’t know when that would be. Heck, he didn’t even know where they actually were, let alone how to get off the island. “Dat I can’ be fig’rin’ out,” he told her, “Once we be dismissed from dis ‘ere ‘osptial, we be goin’ an’ gettin’ a decent feed somewhere.”
Quote:“I'm sure we're doing fine." she said. "How are you doing?”
"Besides, my daughter tends to worry about a person after she's....well, you know," Mrs. Adams finished. "I trust there are no lasting effects?"
Red-on-black eyes now changed direction, falling on the mother of the teen healer, nodding his head, “Non, dere be non lastin’ effects, an’ I be doin’ fine. All o’ us need t’ be headin’ int’ wha’e’er city be nearby an’ gettin’ some food, an’ findin’ a way o’f dis place.”
Scarlet Witch grumbled at that glaring harshly at Gambit. Something about the way he looked at her made her wonder about something. What it was, she had no idea...yet.
She noticed that he answered before her own voice came out, still harsh, filled with anger, "Both! I do have a few things that need doing you know."
"Oh," Was all Karina could say. She dropped her eyes, staring at her feet. There was something about Gambit's eyes that kind of made her nervous, unwilling to look at them for too long.
Mrs. Adams nodded at Gambit, smiling at him.
"That's good otherwise..." and her voice trailed as her glance turned to her daughter. LaTrina's glances were everywhere. She could 'feel' the pain about the place but the fact that she was there with her mother gave her the strength to stay where she was.
Quote:"...We've been hearing troubling news that the mutant terrorist Magneto may have been involved but Greek authorities have been unable to rule out the terrorist group 17 November. We're trying to get in touch with people on the island by calling cellphones. If you know someone who lives on the island or who was a passenger on the Olympia please give us their phone number by calling 1-877-..."
It was this bit of news that seemed to stand out the most, bringing a look from the Cajun's eyes, even as he was concerned for a very dejected looking Karina and trying his best not to carry out the sudden need to reach out and grab Wanda, to try and shake some sense into the teenager. Listening to the report, he tried to comfort the girl, "We be gettin' o'f 'ere, petite, dey no' be leavin' us b'hin'," he said, eyes watching the TV screen. ~An' I am no' givin' anyone any o' de phone numb'rs I be knowin',~ he thought.
Quote:"Excuse me, would you like some ice water, you look thirsty" a young olive-complexioned medical aid said, holding up several bottles of chilled water. It was evident she was making the rounds.
Ah, so yet another gorgeous looking nurse, the Cajun drawn away from the TV long enough to flash her one of his classic Gambit smiles, accompanied with a glint in his red-on-black eyes. "I be greatly appr'ciative, Cher," he simply said, with a wink.
The femmes couldn't help but be affected by his wiles at the best of times, and this was definitely one of those times, "Ah,' she said, softly, watching as he took a bottle of water, "It's no problem."
He gently let his partly gloved fingers brush her hand, his smile saying it all, as he took two other bottles for those under his care, particularly making a point to hand one to Karina.
Wanda frowned at Gambit. She didn't really like that tone. It tended to set her off. She jerked her head though not before he could see the hate appear in her eyes.
"Yeah. Whatever!" she spat out. "There are some things I would like to deal with later."
Karina stared at Wanda and shook her head at the two. It would seem that Wanda had some kind of problem with Gambit. Her eyes went to the Cajun wanting to see what it was that riled Wanda but she couldn't really read it. She shook her head again realizing that she was no good at reading faces.
She took the bottle from Gambit but now she was mainly silent.
Latrina turned to look at Gambit, eyes wide, "You sure you all right?" she asked in question.
The Cajun glanced at her, a bottle of water held out, pretty much ignoring the spiteful sounding Wanda, "I be tellin' yo' I be alrigh'," he told her, getting the image of Mana leaning over him to help heal previous wounds in his head. This teen was a healer too, and if he had heard Mana correctly, they tended to be able to feel the wounds. "I be injured, Petit," he continued, "but it no' be life threat'nin'."
LaTrina continued to glance at Gambit, head cocked to one side at that. The 'feeling' of hurting people now beginning to rampage within her thoughts and her mind. If one looked at her straight, they could probably see the turmoil in her eyes; the feeling to go and help others in need.
Mrs. Adams laid one hand on her daughter's shoulder and felt the turmoil through the slight shudders coming from LaTrina. And knew her daughter's feelings in the matter.
"That's good. I would think that LaTrina, if given a chance would try and take away the pain...If she wasn't confused, so to speak." Mrs. Adams said, her hand keeping her daughter from moving at Gambit's admission of his injury.
Red-on-black eyes looked from Latrina's mother to Latrina then to his wound. It might be worth having the young one heal it, then he would be at his best to protect them if ever the need arose, however, he really only trusted one healer at this stage...
His mind went over it, even as he turned to look at Wanda, "Dat look be enuff t' kill, Petit, yo' wanna be tellin' dis 'ere Cajun wha' dat dere bus'ness yo' be havin' be?" he asked, watching her warily.
It was at that point his mind decided something, glancing back at Latrina, "Yo' be able t' heal de woun' wit'ou' non harm t' yaself, nor non mind link b'tween us, den yo' be goin' ahead. Gambit be realisin' it may be wort'while aft'rall," he told her, motioning to his wounds.
Wanda continued to glare hatefully at Gambit before she answered snappily, "It's was supposed to. Now, can we go now?"
She turned away, not wanting to say move.
Karina shook her head at Wanda still wondering where this hateful person was. She couldn't understand why the girl was like that even though Gambit was doing his best with her.
"Please, don't fight." she murmured, her voice real low.
Before LaTrina could answer, her mother did first. "Actually, from what I've seen of my daughter's abilities. She doesn't do any of that. I'm not really sure how she does it but if it was a major wound it would really tire her out."
Mrs. Adams glanced at the wound pointedly, "I take it that yours is only the arm?"
LaTrina glanced at her mother wonderingly before she answered, "It is of no moment. I don't link mentally with anyone I'm healing. Though afterwards I do feel a bit tired. It takes a lot out of one but that tiredness does leave after a while."
Again, the Cajun ignored the spiteful Scarlet Witch, answering Karina first, "I no' be de one t' be startin' de malice," he simply said, before turning a more warm face to Latrina and her mother, "Oui, it jus' be de arm, an' if yo' be feelin' up t' it now, yo' be goin' ahead an' healin' it. Aft'r dat, we be gettin' outta dis 'ere excuse f'r a hospital," he told them, a pointed glare given to Wanda.
Not really up to a fight...yet, Wanda turned away from Gambit. Though if she was really up to it, she would have probably hexed him. It was the fact that they weren't alone that kept her anger in check...for the time being at least.
"Yeah Yeah," was all she said.
Karina nodded in response. Her glance went to the spiteful Wanda and wondered if the other girl would ever get along with Gambit. Besides he seemed likeable.
"I'd like that," she said shyly.
Quote:"Oui, it jus' be de arm, an' if yo' be feelin' up t' it now, yo' be goin' ahead an' healin' it. Aft'r dat, we be gettin' outta dis 'ere excuse f'r a hospital," he told them, a pointed glare given to Wanda.
LaTrina smiled a bit shyly before she stepped forward. Her eyes went to the Cajun before she spoke up,
"You may notice that we will glow a bit. It shows that the healing process does work."
And so saying, laid a gentle hand on the wounded arm. and surely that glow encompassed bother LaTrina's hands, moving up to Gambit's arm.
Mrs. Adams watched her daughter. It was still amazing that she could do that and the woman never stopped being such.
Her glance went to Wanda and there was the tiniest of frowns at her brow. "Please young lady, we need to get along. At least, until we get out of here. Okay?"
The glow was very similar to Mana's, except, of course, hers was purple, and the feeling was similar too, but this time he felt no gentle pull on his mind, nor the urge to grab the healer and ask her what she was doing. He inwardly chuckled at the startled look on Mana's face that day, thankful he hadn't been in one of his more angrier moods, otherwise he may have seriously hurt her.
"I be t'ankful," he said to Latrina, thinking her mother's words to Wanda were pretty pointless, considering he figured they would have fell on deaf ears... or emotions, for that matter.
Background: Many, many years ago, Charles Francis Xavier established Xavier's School for the Gifted. Also, seeing other Mutants misusing and abusing their powers, he created the first generation of the X-Men.This original team was trained and lead by an old friend of his...Logan, aka Wolverine. Logan's co-leader was a young woman and student named Ororo Munroe, aka Storm. Once the team was trained and fielded on active missions, they took on the additional responsibility of teaching and helping new Mutants deal with their powers. On one horrible night, the X-Men were fielded to stop a particularly powerful Mutant and his 'gang'. The 'intelligence' received on this Mutant and his cohorts was sketchy and actually turned out to be a set-up to entrap the X-Men and take them captive. In the ensuing melee', 'things' happened and a number of the team were killed outright or severely injured. After making sure his remaining team-mates were going to be okay, Logan left. Xavier has not, to current time, explained his absence or even whether or not he survived.Current Time/Game Time: Almost seven years later, as Human/Mutant incidents are on the rise, Xavier once again sees a need for a Mutant 'police force'. He sees this new X-Men team as a force for good and a way to help peacefully integrate the rapidly emerging Mutant society with the established Human society. To this end, he has contacted Logan and asked him to 'come home' and train his 'new' team.
Logan has reluctantly agreed. Can shadows from their past be put aside for the good of the new X-Men? How will the surviving members of the original team react and what will they do as 'truths' are learned about that disastrous night?Note: We want the new X-Men to include younger versions of the old familiar characters such as Scott, Jean, Beast etc...as well as many of the OCC’s and other Canon characters that are available. Please ask the Staff BEFORE stating or establishing that your character was one of the old, now disbanded, original X-Men.
