Re: Olympia/The Bow&Deck/Force/Magma/Tags:Mana/Angel/NC
Magma had seen the flames before they truly registered.

Magma, help me with the fires!

Magma moved quickly over to where Mana was before helping with the flames. her gaze went over to the passengers and back and forth,

"Well, here's something." she said beginning to use her powers to smother the flames, trying to keep them from the passengers.

In the meantime, Force gazing at the flames was struck dumb but Mana's voice washed that clear.

Her powers came into play as a forceshield appeared, thus protecting the passengers.

<Take care of that guys. I don't know how long this shield can stay up.>

OlympiaStern-ish Area/Scott/Tags: ALL There
OOC: Another note on recognition -- Cyclops is not (yet) an X-Man, so Rogue would not have identified him as one.

~Evo here, still loose. I'll continue onward unless you want me to return. Your choice.~

~"Keep going,"~ Scott replied. ~"But be careful. If you encounter anything the least bit off, give a shout."~

His voice was quiet as he spoke to Evo while still watching Rogue. His eyes narrowed when her approach switched from a warning shouted at a supposedly-panicked run to an almost casual inquiry as she slowed to a walk. Her powers had something to do with touch, he recalled from the quick skim of info on genuine mutant terrorists he'd done while changing for the mission.

Scott was opening his mouth to tell her to halt when the wall exploded. Instinctively, he dropped into a crouch and whipped his head in a fast arc, eyes widening as his mind repelled. Perfectly attuned to him, the visor responded as his own power once had. The crimson beam was broad and diffuse, designed to sweep away and deflect as much shrapnel as possible -- especially near Evo's vulnerable shell.

Something caught and slashed across Scott's shoulder, the impact ironically helping hasten his spin. Suppressing the pain, he sent to Nightcrawler, ~"Get Evo's shell to safety on the Whale."~

Then he was back facing Rogue -- just in time to see her yanked screaming backward through a hole in the wall. A moment later, he heard Gambit hiss something and launch himself in pursuit.

Re: OlympiaStern-ish Area/Chamber/Terrorist/Tags: ALL There!
Chamber had turned in time to see Rogue though he felt sure that things may happen later on. He made the decision.

*Might as well help that person.*

Running after Rogue and Sabertooth, Chamber was once again wondering why he was doing this again and for the hundredth time.

*Stupid, its probably the right thing to do. She does need help or so I believe.*

Chamber saw Gambit there and heard his voice. He moved in to join him,

*I'd like to help, if it be possible? She needs help.*

Olympia Bow/Crow/ Tags all there
((Just a heads up, PG-13 for mild language. Sorry this took so long, too, sis managed to get a comppy virus >.>))

By the time Crow had traced the rigging back, the voices behind her had come a good deal closer, and even the girl's insistent curiosity was beginning to wane in light of their proximity. Currently though, there was something a bit more pressing.

The end of the wire she had noticed in her patient ended on the wall...in a small chip, embedded in a small amount of plastique. Aw, crap. The girl had only had to deal with plastic explosives once or twice, but they had been memorable enough to give her a strong idea of what they could do. Even the small amount here would do some nasty damage, if given the chance...

From a few rooms behind her, the faint smell of flames intensified, and just as suddenly, the flickering, telltale light became visible. Crow glanced back at the plastique. Things were just getting worse and worse, weren't they?

Dashing toward the flames--and voices--the girl did her best to put as much distance between the blob of putty and herself as possible. Even as she took her first few steps, she shifted, changing to the much faster canine. The slim form of a greyhound replaced her own, and she practically flew over the carpeted floor.

It was painfully obvious the trap had been sprung from the explosion that rocked the room, sending her tumbling forward...and nearly into the group of heroes. ...Not good.

Re: Olympia Mess Hall/Gambit&Sabretooth/ TagsRogue/Chamb
OOC: Ooooh, Chamber’s player, we so need to JP. Do you have one of the Instant Messengers? Oh, and you too, Katie, shame we aren’t on at the same time. *Sigh*

The room opened out, long tables with many chairs set up at even intervals all over the place, the kitchen beyond the mess hall Victor Creed’s current place of intention. Getting to it however was proving to be more of a problem than he first thought.

First, he had to deal with Rogue’s incessant struggling, and her tireless efforts to somehow get some sort of direct skin-to-skin contact. Creed’s warning growl in her ear may or may not have had the effect he intended for it, the new scent reaching his position before he had time to really show her just what he thought of her futile attempts to get away.

“Yo’ be puttin’ de Petite down now!” his accented voice carried easily over the room, red-on-black eyes narrowed in anger; more anger than the Cajun had shown in a long time. Question was, could he control it this time?

Creed’s answer came in the form of a wicked snarl, the snicker behind it clearly indicating his next intentions. He lifted the Southern girl by the ponytail still in his hand, and tossed her halfway across the room, where he was hoping her impact against the wall would render her out of action for as long as it took for him to take care of his pursuers, black eyes resting on the other much younger mutant just behind the man he recognised well.

Gambit followed the cat-like man’s gaze, eyes widening a little at the sight of Chamber, a kid he didn’t know very well, but had heard rumours of the intense power beyond the cover he forever wore over his mouth. ~Now dis guy migh’ be comin’ in handy,~ he thought, a plan already formulating in his mind.

He had been too caught up in getting to Sabretooth to have heard the telepathic words from the boy, Remy now motioning to his right. “Go,’ he said, as quietly as he could, well aware of Creed’s enhanced hearing capability. “Now dat de petite be clear, dat pow’r yo’ be havin’ be o’ use.”

“Déjà vu!” Victor hissed, narrowed eyes now focused on Gambit.

“No’ if I be able t’ help it,” Remy answered, the Bo Staff twirling in his hand, while the other contained several charged cards, ready, waiting.

Re: Olympia Mess Hall/Rogue/Tags:Gambit,Sabretooth, Chamber
Rogue screamed as Creed tossed her by the hair into a nearby wall. She hit it and felt it crack - she'd broken the wall.

"Ugh..." Rogue muttered as she tried to stand up, but the room was kinda spinning from her crashing into the wall, and she wasn't going to be much help at the moment.

Rogue managed to turn herself around and was able to watch Gambit and Chamber - who she didn't know - fight to protect her.

Her jaw dropped in amazement and hope as she realized that they were going to help her. Oh! Thank ya! she thought as the room slowly stopped spinning...

Re: Olympia Mess Hall/Chamber/ TagsGambit.Sabertooth
Though reluctant to bring to bear the power he possessed, Chamber knew that he just may have to. Such things, he sometimes wished he didn't have, but danger was around him.

With a sigh, Chamber moved in, from the rear, to best stay out of Sabertooth's range. His powers beginning to rise to the forefront...

...somewhere close to engineering (tags: closed)...

"What was that?"

Felicia Morgan leaned in to her boyfriend, Andreas, her hands clutching him tightly from reflexive fear.

Andreas bolted forward from where he was seated, cocking his ears as the rumbling continued. "Explosions," he uttered quickly, "its not comming from the engines or [power] plant. Quick! Can you?" he asked, turning his head to her.

She was already scanning the ship's environment, her attention momentarily diverted from Magneto's activities outside the ship. Her face held a focused contenance as she bit into her lower lip. Her senses swept the rooms and hallways closest to them, and then gradually lept outwards through the ship.

A cry from Andreas broke her attention.

"I smell cordite!" he shouted. "Someone's using explosives! Hurry! Hurry!" With a thought, he sent a current of electricity out of the floor and through the air, redirecting it's crackling white heat to one of the consoles nearest him. It glowed with life, and massive ships bulkheads hurried to close and seal shut throughout the immediate area.

"I ... I think I found the source," she said, breaking out of her trance momentarily to inform him.

(Player note: passage to the engineering section is now blocked by large steel bulkhead doors)

Though his automatic reaction was to go to the screaming girl's rescue, whatever her affiliation, training made Scott hold his position until he heard and smelled Nightcrawler transport Evo's shell back to the Whale. Then he was in motion, speaking via radio and mindlink.

Evo was almost at the Engineering section when he saw the bulkhead doors ahead of him shut ight all of a sudden. ~No! Just got Bulkhead doors to Engineering shut ahead of me. The way seemed clear until I got here, though there were wires all over the place. Here, I'd need strength to get through. I'm coming back, Cyclops. There's nothing more I can do as Wisp.~ And with that, Evan made his way back towards Cyclops and the waiting battle.

Olympia/Approaching Generators/Tag: Logan
Jean Grey had been so busy filtering the myriad messages, gaurding the link, and protecting the privacy of each person involved, she had barely paid attention to their stealthy approach to the area housing the ship's immense generators.

~~Be prepared~~ She mentally and gently called through the telepathic link, being careful not to distract those involved in serious situations, filtering the message so they would still receive it as knowledge and impressions. ~~We are nearing the generators. I believe Wolverine must have a unique route planned for reaching them.~~

This information would filter like a gentle breeze into the minds of all in the link, not substantial or sudden enough to distract them from anything vital. Jean's skill at this surprised even her.

Sighing softly to herself, she waited for Logan's next orders or signal for proceeding.

Olympia/Bow,Deck/Tag: Mana, Magma, Force
Optional Tag (per end of post): Nightcrawler

OOC: I will admit that I'm so far out of the loop, you guys may have to ping me in Player to Player to edit for continuity's sake. My apologies. Please let me know if I commit a severe faux paux and I will gladly and humbly edit. Also, sorry this is SHORT but until I get my 'feel' and know exactly where to go with Angel, I didn't want to have to do lots of editing.
Dangerously close to engulfing everything in their path, bits of shrapnel and wood, still smelling of the accelerant used to feed the flames, Mana moved quickly, hoping Angel and the others were okay. Looking around, her worried voice rose above the flames,

“Force! Protect the injured! Magma, help me with the fires! Angel, Nightcrawler, get those you can out of here now! This whole place is crawling with accelerant!” She only hoped all of them were able to answer her, whether by action or voice.

~~--~~
Warren was already on the move lifting those to safety that he could as quickly as possible. He was hindered by his great wings. The wind they generated only fanned the flames to greater fury.

Frustrated and taking dangerous chances at getting burned, he concentrated all his flying and retrieval skills over the next few moments. As soon as the 'victims' were clear, he swooped back in to hover within range and move his teammates to safety.

Re: Olympia:Bow,Deck/Mana&Angel/Tag:Magma/Force
OOC: This is a JP between Mana & Angel.

Mana’s relief at the quick response from Force and Magma helped to quell the fear rising ever more quickly to the surface. She couldn’t stand to lose people she was so close to being able to help, eyes now focused on the fire she was now now trying so desperately to put out, feeling the wind from Angel’s wings, seeing him doing his best to get those he could out of there.

Mana began to realise there was no way, even between Magma and her, they could put out a fire accelerated by what smelt like fuel, looking around worriedly at the two young girls nearby. Regardless of whether it cold be done or not, she was not about to risk their young lives to save a part of the ship that was clearly going down.

The injured were all bar out of the line of danger, thanks to Angel, and she was starting to feel the effects of her power usage even more. Soon she’d be no use to any of them. It was time to get out while they could.

Angel swooped in and 'air lifted' the last two of the injured to safety before returning and hovering slightly above. His normally snowy wings were beginning to darken from his proximity to the smoke and fire.

Sending a glance at Mana, he dove in and made one more 'double' lift, carrying Force and Magma away from immediate danger, then returning for Mana. Warren landed briefly, slanted an apologetic look at Mana, but did not waste his limited breath in speaking. Instead, he gathered her quickly into his arms and launched into the air again. Circling briefly over the ocean to cool down, he landed them close by the injured and the other two girls.

Mana smiled at Warren, the flight cooling her down, but having no affect on the weakness she was now feeling. “You sure you can’t read minds, Angel?” she asked. “I was just about to ask you to get us out of there. It was getting way too hot.”

"Telepathy is not one of my skills. Just logic." He set Mana gently on her feet, keeping one arm out for support if needed. Warren fanned his great wings out, ruffling the feathers to shake off some of the soot generated by the smoky fires. Stretching them to their full sixteen-foot width, he then furled them behind him.

"What now?"

Mana’s attention was no longer on him, eyes narrowed in the direction of the sea surface. “Those people are drowning,” she said, trying so hard not to let the emotion show in her voice, as she looked at him. “Can you get them?”

Without replying, Warren stretched his wings and launched into the air again. The ocean rescues were trickier. If his wings become too saturated with the salt water, he'd be unable to get airborn again. Like any bird, his wings had a protective coating to help protect them in flight during inclement weather. This protection did not extend to salt water.

He called to those in the water to move as closely together as possible thus allowing him to scoop two people out of the water first. Warren quickly analysed who was able to swim well enough to wait and who needed immediate assistance. Then, where possible, he carried two at a time. This was taxing.

By the time Warren landed with the last two, he knew he needed a serious breather before flying again.

“Thank you, Angel,” Mana whispered, putting a hand to her temple, eyes closing, as she sent word to Scott, and Jean, *The injured on the stern and in the water are safe, but I can no longer heal any of them, I need to rest. A fire is currently engulfing that section so please stay away from it. Can I go to bed now please?* that last sentence was said with the humour intended, hoping to alleviate some of the tension she could clearly feel in the air.

Warren smiled and pointed at a backpack he had dropped earlier when ferrying the rescue team over. "Several field medical kits in there. We can administer old fashioned first aid and triage then call for pick up. I'll be able to fly some off ship and to safety again soon."

Mana nodded, moving to take some of the supplies and hand them to Amara and China. “Do the best you can with what we have,” she told them. “And thank you for you help, you did well.”

Walking over to kneel beside the nearest injured, Mana closed her eyes again, pushing aside how she was feeling. “I wanna go home,” she said, softly, all this almost too much for her after such a long time.

Warren knelt beside another of the injured; his wings furled up and back. He slanted a glance at Mana out of turquoise eyes that clearly said he felt the same way. Too many years away from 'this' kind of work. His mindset had changed and although this incident made it clear that some form of the X-Men were still needed, his heart was not yet there.

Rustling his feathers, he returned to administering first aid to the nearest of the victims, tagging the young man as safe to move off the ship.

In this fashion, he and the others continued through the injured.

Re: Olympia:MessHall/Gambit/Sabretooth/ TagsChamber/Rogue
He was pleased to see Chamber move so swiftly to follow his orders, not that if he hadn’t would have surprised him in the least either. Gambit’s eyes never fully left those of Victor’s, the cat-like mutant seemingly waiting for something.

Rogue’s movement was caught out of the corner of the Cajun's eye, a feeling of relief and satisfaction coming to the fore. There was no way he was going to let this turn out the same way his last encounter with Victor Creed had.

Sabretooth’s eyes followed Chamber’s slowly moving form, and even though he didn’t show it, the man had no idea what the kid’s powers were, so, staying in one place long enough to find out was not on the cat’s agenda. Eyes locked on Chamber, Creed leapt towards Gambit, claws extended, the growl filling the room.

The Cajun had been ready for something like this the moment he’d walked into the mess hall, the staff weapon coming around almost elegantly, his round house kick following it even as it contacted with his opponent’s side.

Creed fell sideways in mid air, but landed easily on his feet, as cats were prone to do. His black eyes narrowed, “Is that all you’ve got, Cajun runt!” he hissed.

“Non,” Remy answered, the slight flick of his wrist accompanying the cocky grin, the charged card flying towards his face.

He leapt out of the way, albeit too slow to feel at least some of the impact of the explosion, sending him sprawling across one of the tables. Remy’s mind calculated the distance between them in seconds, head turning to look directly at Chamber, before one word left his mouth,

“NOW!”

Re: Olympia:MessHall/Gambit/Sabretooth/ TagsChamber/Rogue
Just some notes...

1. Assume Nightcrawler is constantly teleporting people about, and taking those needing medical attention at the Ship's bow to safety. In fact, that would be a priority short of a direct order. I am not heavily roleplaying him since, being the plot admin for this, it would be overly gratuitous and would take away from other's involvement.

2. The Olympia is in no danger of sinking, and the sprinkler system, while damaged in some locations such as where the explosions went off, is still mostly intact and is constructed in multiple, overlapping zones for safety reasons. Fire will not spread far so long as there is water in the ballast tanks and power for the pumps (independent generators and batteries are online if needed for backup).

Re: Olympia/Bow,Deck/Tag: Mana, Magma, Force
It was Force who took up the supplies from Mana. Magma glanced to where the fire was and a frown sort of came over her face. Some many flames and she couldn't do a thing with them. Oh well.

"Come on..Force, let's see what we can do in the manner of help here," she said.

Force's nodded though her eyes were on Mana for a time. She was sort of glad that she didn't have to keep up with the forcefield or else they would have been in trouble.

She moved to help Magma.

With a soft growl of anger, Scarlet Witch moved off to stand near Scott. She was so angry she wanted to get in there and send a hex out, just to vent.

"~Fine. I'll stay...for the time being.~"

Karina took a deep breath, releasing the seed in her pocket. She was not yet ready to use it...yet. But hoped to soon enough.

*Bear with me guys. From what I've read and understand I THINK Storm is on the Whale slowly conjuring up a storm er Squall? Oh and dude, I LOVE the pics. Helps me out sooo much.*

Storm stood silently. Eyes closed in thought. It did her better to be OUTSIDE instead of inside to do this, but had opted for inside, in case anyone just happened to be watching. Wouldn't want to draw any crowds, from the shore or ocean.

The storm would come gradually, as if it appeared naturally. Her being calm and serene at the moment helped a lot. It helped her to focus and not to rush. It had been a while since she conjured up something slowly. They had mostly been aftermaths of her nightmares or done because of her change in moods, but now she was at ease.

Her friends were home and safe and now there were two scared mutants onboard a ship that needed help.

OOC: There is a possibility Storm may have seen Sabes rather abrupt exit from where she is, April. Just a thought. :D

Chamber’s blast of psionic energy not only brought an impressed look to Gambit’s face, but on impact with Sabretooth’s form, the power was forced outwards in all directions, Remy feeling himself lifted slightly off the ground, sent flying backwards, and covering his face for protection as some of the furniture in the room followed.

The mutant the blast was intended for smashed through the wall behind him, and there was no room for him to land in, no floor for him to slide across, just the freezing cold temperatures of the water below to reach up and envelope him in their cold embrace, Creed’s growled mixture of anger and horror cut short on impact to the water’s surface.

First it was a chair that moved slightly, then it was a table that suddenly went from lying on its side, to toppling over back onto it legs, a partly glove hand reaching up to clear away the rest of the debris that’d landed on him, a groan escaping his lips as he climbed back to his feet.

Remy Etienne LeBeau now found himself with a broken arm, the crack heard the moment the metal chair had hit it, but it didn’t deter him from heading over to check if Rogue was okay, remembering last that she had been crawling slowly away behind Sabretooth, hoping she had been able to get further out of the way before Creed hit the wall.

“Petite, yo’ be alrigh’?” he called, red-on-black eyes focusing through the haze within the room. “Chamber, yo’ be soundin’ of’ to’. Where yo’ be?”
