RULES - MUST READ
Welcome to X-Men: The Last Refuge - An Alternate Marvel Universe. Yes, welcome to X:TLR . I'm Angel B. Fallen in the red. Enjoy my comments as you read along. As with all boards, we've got our rules. You've gotta follow them. So, let's get started:
1. RESPECT! You will treat all others that you play with respect. You wanna fight, go for it. But keep it off my board. Your characters don't have to respect each other. Hell, they can completely loathe each other. But you'd better be nice.
Kinda like Cyke and Wolvie. They hate each other but they play nice for Jean's sake. Just think of the Admins and Mods as Jean, and we'll get along fine. We're attractive Admins with GOD powers.
2. NO GOD MODDING. I can't stress this enough. You describe your actions. You can set the others up to respond to that action, but you can't say *Faallen beats HoH over the head. HoH dies.* Nu-uh. That, is a big Nay-nay... only Mods/Admins get to do that, and only when absolutely necessary.
And this won't happen often, it'll be the Get-Out-Of-Jail card... There's only one in the deck. Luckily, I bought the entire stock for future use. Heh heh.
3. YOU ARE NOT A GOD. The previous rule goes hand-in-hand with this one. You aren't a God. You gotta take a hit. Even Quicksilver can't dodge everything. Neither can Spiderman. Which means you can't either. This also means that you aren't invincible. Everyone has a weakness. Accept it. Deal with it. Get over it. You gotta lose sometimes. Seriously. It builds character.
Don't God-Mod, you'll only piss me off. I'll be watching, seriously.
4. SPELLING. You've got a spell checker. Use it. A few spelling mistakes, ok. But nothing along the lines of "Faata goes up ot HoH adn killz her. OMGZ" Nay-nay. I think not. This leads to the next point...
For the love of Pete, please use a spell checker, hell, use the grammar check as well. If you have to write your post in some other program like Microsoft Word. Then post it here after using the spell checker. Hell, there's one at the bottom of the post page, use it.
5. N0 L33T 5P34K. Don't even think about it. Maybe in the forums... maybe. Don't push your luck.
I would like this to only be used in humorous situations otherwise it'll just annoy the hell out of me.
6. PLAYING TIME. You must post at least. AT LEAST once every two days. Preferably once a day or more. No one likes to wait around for others to post, so joining means that you're committing to post. If you're going to be away, let the Admins or Mods know if you're going to be away. Things come up, I understand more then most. I may even disappear from time to time. If you're gone more then a week, with no warning, then we'll put you to "vacationing", and try to contact you. More then a month, and we'll try to contact you again, and if there's no response, then we'll have to list you as gone. At least try to tell us about disappearances.
Please keep as informed, cause it sucks having to wait around for someone that you're RPing with and has disappeared for no reason. Thanks.
7. SEX. Well now. The big one. You know what? Go for it. You wanna cyber with your characters, go for it. BUT here's the thing.
a) You AREN'T allowed to do it all the time. If the Mods are going to find that you have something like two to three sex threads going a week, or even in the period of a few weeks, then there'll be a problem. So, if this is the situation, take a cold shower dammit!
b) You can't have two characters randomly having sex. They're going to have to build a relationship, or at least meet before hand.
c) Bear in mind the age of the other player! I can't stress that to the extent I should. There are young kids that play, so realize this before you go and have sex with their characters. This rule will more then likely be tweaked as time goes by.
Meet first, Relationship next, should be involved for awhile. Then Sex. Oh, yeah. No Rape threads allowed. Hell, anything that's not consensual, I'll ban ya on the spot if I so much as heard a peek about it. I'll be checking threads, just so you know.
The following rule not in effect, yet.
8. PASSWORD. Because a lot of people aren't reading the rules, a password will now have to be given. Giving this password means that you've read the rules and are willing to play by them. The password should be at the beginning of the bio submission or we will be asking for it before any of the Staff will stamp it. The password is: Angel B. Faa All, of it, not just some of it.
