kick in the balls- unfortunately not a joke
Our friend, Nick Crothers mother passed away last night. Anyone that would like to share empathy please do. Nick has always been floating around the Sandra Black family somewhere in and between the scenes for many years now and we all try to care for him when he is and isn't kicking and pushing, playing or hugging us back. There's nothing to be sorry for when death occurs but for some reason people say they're sorry I think for a loss of words. I have to say I am sorry too nick. I think death necessitates a loss of words, so I have to join the ranks when I would like to say something original and simply say, I am sorry as well.
Same here
I would also like to extend my sympathy to the Crothers family in their loss. Nick and Aaron, you know I've got your back. I am at your service. Juliana, the sandra black crew is indeed with you too. Come and see us all.
If you need anything, we will surely do our best to deliver.
A story
Just the other day a co-worker of mine returned to work after a death in her family. She's a wonderful old black woman whose obvious wisdom, soul and strength are a product of her experiences in life.
Upon the day of her return from bereavement leave, I happened to encounter her in the break room as she was watering some plants and I took the opportunity to offer my condolences. She smiled warmly and knowingly and replied, "With death, life always blooms anew".
Reading this, it may sound cheesy.
But the moment was real and her simple response struck me and made me smile.
