i had to download direct x 9 c twice but it worked perfect the second time. i would suggest hitting microsoft first and downloading then loading eq for the patch, if you haven't already.

Finally!! All is better now. Installed NVidia drivers update. Reinstalled DirectX update. Did the Advanced EQ update. Repeated steps twice.
And was able to play EQ last night with no dumps to the desktop or the video going to a sparkly green look.

I haven't seen anyone else complain, but in Nektulos when I use the mouse to move like I always do I seem to make large wide turns and "overshoot", kind of like when you first learn to drive a car.
Let me know if you see anything like that. It's quite annoying.
