reason for toolband.com hacking
I learned through a source that the reason why the toolband.com site was hacked because the melvin's dale crover actualy did the studio drumming on lateralus because danny was treasure hunting in france during the recording process

even though danny wrote the songs for lateralus the actual percussion heard on the album is dale's...dales lack of crediting on the liner notes has caused some tension between the melvins and tool that was only augmented during last years tour when they bands played together...dale plans to sue the band to get credit for his work during the recording of lateralus... but i think the law suit is sugar coating the situation.
