Re: Re:re:toys Cat and dogs balls supposed would be okay just make sure that there are no tiny holes where a toe could get stuck. The only bird balls i see as all clear plastic with the bell inside and actually attach to a "perch star" but i can also really easily slide the balls off so when the Olly the budgie is outside on a desk he charges at the ball using his head to roll it way. |

Re: Re:re:toys Look for bird specific ones. I found some that come strung up as a hanging toy, my lovies and budgies imediatly tear them down and go nuts playing beak soccer. When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading. --Henny Youngman |

Re: Re:Re:re:toys any female lovie (paired or single) will get nesty- its just what they do. Toys that I give my lovies are baby toys. I have a daughter so I have alot- you know the rings with dangley keys- or shapes? they love these. They also like popsicle sticks- I buy mine at a craft store the ones for kids they're safe even if colored (veggie dye) I used kids white glue (nontoxic for kids and birds) and make ladders- and toys and anything I can think of. They just shread them and make a mess but thats what lovies like to do. I also made a bird tree. Young branches that they love to limb on- jump around on- and chew. It keeps them busy for a long time. You can also make homemade toys- I take chunks of cardboard cut into shapes and string them up they love to swing on them and chew them to bits. You can also take a egg carton the cardbaord type and hide treats inside them they love to rip into them and get the treats. I've also taken rope and braided it into stripes and made rope bridges and swings. You can also make a swing useing a branch and some rope. I twisted cotton rope around the dowel I used as the perch- they love to make it twist and then attack it. popcorn strings and noodle strings are great for a fun treat-boxes with hole cut into them are great hide and go seek places- but dont keep them in the cage. Out side play time only hope that gives you some ideas christa |
