what did you think of the season premiere?

I thought the premise was cool. It's nice to have a show about God that's different and not overtly "preachy." I like that "God" is always going to be taking on different forms, it lends well in terms of endless possibility. Amber ROCKED as I expected her to. I think my favorite scene was the one with Joan older brother goofing around. I've had moments like that and I found the moment very true to life. I also liked that they are dealing with the life of a person with a physical disability and it appears they are trying to do it truthfully which is refreshing on TV. I also thought they did a good job of showing what their family life is like. You've only got one hour to lay the groudwork for the whole show and I think they did a great job! It wasn't hoaky. Did anyone else watch?

I really loved the relationship between Joan and her older brother too, had me thinking shades of Em/Jase except I can't picture Jason tickling Emily. It was also amusing how Joan had a crush on God, didn't see that coming. The ending of the show was kind of strange with that guy being brought into the police station. I'm really interested in seeing what happens with that tomorrow.

I loved their relationship and oddly enough I didn't think of Jason at all. Maybe because he's not my favorite person right now? LOL It's interesting that Joan's dad is a cop and she's "talking to god," I'm sure that's no accident. The ending was wierd and I'm interestred to find out more which I guess is the point of the pilot. I also like the bookstore owner he's funny

Ah I love love Amber Tamblyn. I loved the series premiere and can't wait to watch again tomorrow. I like how it ended, that guy being brought in to the police station and all. God told Joan to get a job at that bookstore, and not to ask why, but her getting a job there, caused her to be out in the rain that night with creepy/killer guy and her running off made him get in his car and speed away, which got him arressted. I just liked how it all added up in the end. Anyway I can't wait until tomorrow. I have an AT site, but it's temporarilly down as I am switching servers, but I do have screencaps from the first episode, and will be doing caps of AT for all of the episodes, I have them stored here at the moment vanessa.dearisobel.net/joan.htm

I love love Amber too! I think JOA is awsome I'm keeping the eppys When your site is moved do you mind if I link it here? (I was wondering why the link wasn't working). I really hope JOA gets a big following. I missed taping Amber on Kilborn because I fell asleep waaaah! LOL!
